The coffee is genuinely good here at this friendly local business. They’ve made an effort with the decor too so it’s a pleasant place to visit. So for coffee I’ll come here above Costa up the high street. It’s certainly cheaper. On the food front I can’t really judge as I got a soup for a couple of quid and saw them get the can of Heinz off the shelf and the slice of bread out of the bag! A bit more mystery could be preserved, but I guess for the price I can’t complain!

Excellent pub, great beer, and dog friendly fantastic indian upstairs, but we were allowed to eat our indian meal in the bar as we had our dog with us, wonderful friendly staff and a clean and comfortable room

The daughter booked it for Mothers Day & the landlord & staff where very welcoming, never been in here before but its a throw back to a proper traditional style pub which i loved. There was only the Sunday menu on but plenty of dishes to choose from me & the wife had the mixed meats Sunday roast & she said it was the best Sunday dinner she has had so you cannot get better praise than that as we have tried a few but the daughters partner had the fish & chips with mushy peas & the fish hung over the plate because it was that big so all in all it was an excellent meal in a proper traditional pub highly recommended. Been again for this Mothers Day & i think the pub has changed hands but the new landlord & landlady where very polite & welcoming especially when i told him that was a brilliant pint of John Smith bitter great service even though they where extremely busy the waitresses never stopped always there if needed & whats very important checked back after a couple of minutes once our Sunday Dinners where served to see if everything was ok with our meals. The new couple who's took over look like there in the process of trying to sort out the extremely large gardens & land this pub has got which means i'll have keep coming back & maybe sample the everyday menu as well its a hard life but very worthwhile LOL. Hopefully the food will be just as good as there Sunday menu but can definitely recommend this place.

A great experience! We had walked from Brough Haven to North Ferriby and on the spur of the moment we decided to have a pub lunch before heading back. We were aiming for a train just after 1pm but the food arrived so promptly that we were out in time for the bus which comes before that😹 The food was delicious! It was piping hot and well presented. My husband had the light bite Hunter’s Chicken with chips and a very fresh, colourful side salad. I was delighted to see a really good menu of gluten free dishes and opted for the cheeseburger (2 quality burgers with cheese and lettuce in a Genius roll) and chips. There was so much food I had to leave the bottom piece of bread and my husband had to help me eat the chips… Sadly no room for the very tempting desserts. Great meals and friendly, professional staff. Highly recommended!

Whenever we come to Beverley the Dog and Duck is a “must visit” pub and I’m pleased to be able to say that it is as good as ever. This is a smart, spotlessly clean pub that retains the decor and styling of a traditional British local pub. On a bitterly cold evening the real fire and warm welcome were perfect. What a top pub this is.

Me and my partner went out for tea, Servers didnt seem happy from the moment we walked in made it abit off putting to spend money here, Was pricy had a mixed grill, i didn't really injoy it to be honest everything just tasted the same, and they wasnt alot there didnt look like a ussual mixed grill, was expecting more, i had mixed grill the previous week at another place in town and enjoyed that alot more was hungry a few hours later we had 1 drink each and 1 meal each, 60 pound won't say it's not a nice place, because it really does stand out inside and out

We had a bad experience with our dog in another cafe and found this gem! Absolutely lovely welcome and plenty of space around the tables for our dog to lay, despite being busy. Dog treats available. Best coffees we’d had in a while. We were eating in a pub later so didn’t try the cakes…Gorgeous looking ice cream but not the best weather for it ha ha. A little bit of background music would have given a little more ambiance but that’s being picky…

Excellent service; first class person and machine; prompt, efficient and skill full. No supervision necessary and took extra care to consult when finished.
