The Grapes, Beverley in East Riding of Yorkshire

Called for drinks only and enjoyed what we had. The real ale was spot on and the staff very friendly. Unfortunately one of the locals at the bar had to swear loudly during his casual conversation but we did manage to find a spot out of earshot.

Excellent menu for lunch. Very reasonable meals for 2 people. Will go again.

Been coming here since I was 18, has changed over the years, some times bad sometimes good. But it has always kept a level head over the years, and has always been for me a go to place.

Town centre locals pub that’s ok with visitors from out of town. Rough and ready but tidy enough plus the bar staff are helpful/knowledgeable Outdoor seating in the warmer months

The Grapes is a traditional pub with a wide choice of beers lager and cider including hand-pulled cask conditioned real ales which have always been in excellent condition when i have been in. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the pub food is good.

We went here for afternoon drinks bank holiday Sunday 26th. Place was buzzing had a great atmosphere and the drinks were good. The toilets were disgusting toilet roll all over, but none to use, the smell as I walked in made me gag, such a strong smell of urine was repulsive!! Such a shame really as this didn't make me want to stay in the pub as was put off to go to the toilet again!!

Friendly staff, amusing locals, eccentric visitors. Good place for a few beers.

Only had one pint apiece but service with a smile and reasonable price. No problem with the taste.

Good place with very good priced drinks. During the day its a place for a quiet drink, and on a night it turns into a really good lively place to let your hair down and dance the night away until the early hours.

£18.85 for three drinks that where less than £16 everywhere else. Robbed

Barman called me from the table to the bar to ask for ID. Refused to accept my ID as a valid form of identification and then proceeded to lie to me when I asked if he had ID’d my whole group. I can’t help but feel I was singled out as the only non-white person in the group.

Pretty good for a boogie on the dance floor.

People visit here and make there own

Met up with friends for our annual get together for Christmas. A song I really love came on so I took myself for a dance ( can’t remember the last time I did this). 2 mins on the floor and I go flying head head long on to my left side. After friends helped me up , the lights went on only to see a filthy sticky floor. Before I could say anything, the bar man laced into my friend blaming us and totally denying the floor was sticky. He was so rude and abusive. If he had just apologised and asked me how I was I wouldn’t have to take this further. He then shot to the dance floor with a mob and bucket and putting up yellow signs. Still no sign of an apology or asking how I was . Very unprofessional bar staff and filthy place. Spent the next day in A & E with extremely bruised arm and very bruised left thigh( well I’m not exactly a skinny mini).

Long time since I've been in here, had a nice evening with a friend & friendly chat with some out of Town ladies.

Very rude staff not a friendly atmosphere at all. very run down used to be such a good local pub but unfortunately its slipped.

Always a good pub came in on Easter Sunday all the other local pubs where relatively quiet. But this one was lively with a good atmosphere as per usual.

Popped in for a quick drink , on entering the lady oposite was acting quite strange, and suddenly slumped onto the seats, Andy called for to see what was happening, he assessed the situation and called for an ambulance. Andy and Rachel sat holding the ladys hand offering her support while she waited for assistance. Both Andy and Rachel showed compassion and deserve a 5 star review .

Look thus pub is very friendly and I have had some good times here. But it is let down by the brewery has become scruffy with badly stained chairs and disgusting toilets and badly needs painting especially the outside very scruffy

Very good centralised pub for Beverly and competitive prices and all the sports, good choice of beer, lager and ciders ,wines, spirits and cocktails ,busy place ,toilets ,but sadly no outside seating.

Very cosy pub with friendly welcoming staff. It is now a craft union pub with reasonable prices but not as cheap as the majority of their pubs. A sports bar with really flashy tellies and the beer was top notch

Bit rough and ready. Could use a good clean and marketing toilets from 2019! Bit of attention to detail eg, light bulbs in would go a long way.

Excellent pub with a great selection of beers, lagers and ales. Service is superb and it's a great atmosphere. Cheap prices and always a friendly face in there. It's not a plastic trees and Prosecco type place. Plenty of TV's and sport always on.

First visit and was not disappointed. Good beer and well served food. Ideal location. Staff were friendly and polite.

Bar keep was exceptional. Couldn’t ask for a better keeper of bar. Bar kept well, such good keptness! Unforgettable keeping of bar.

We decided to revisit the Grapes hoping to see improvements after our disappointment at the last visit. Changes have in fact happened but not in a good way. Service is appalling and begrudged. The pub is dirty. Bad language can be heard from the staff and customers. We will not be visiting again ever.

Quiet, friendly, reasonably priced pub

Great pub but gets rather raucous at weekend, dont let this put you off, we enjoyed ourselves but we felt old among all the young ones

Where do we begin.. Children's meal, ordered sausage, mash and vegetables. The sausages were raw in the middle. The veg was cold and undercooked. Rock hard. Burgers, had a milliscule of flavour and that's only due to us blathering it is sauce. All round disgustin. All this after waiting over an hour for the food itself, so how the majority of the food was raw and undercooked is beyond me.

Don't know who wrote all these good reviews, must have a lot of friends. I ordered cod and chips twice plus mushy peas. When the meals came we got pollock which was wet and brown. When I complained I was told that I ordered fish not cod. My wife only eats4cod.. He then took the food away without any offer of replacement or refund. Will not diverge back. Totally rubbish including the3extrfmdly slow service.

Had a lovely meal at the grapes. Staff member was so helpful and food was lovely. Really good value for money too. So glad we ended up at the grapes after a nearby pub didn’t want to do meals at 1.30!!!

We were visiting Beverley for a few days as we do fairly often but had not been in the Grapes before. I found on their website that I could book a table close to a TV screen to watch my favourite football team for the duration of the match. We arrived 30 min before the match started and was shown to our table, from then on we received excellent service for our food and drink without having to leave our seats. The charming lady who attended to us could not have been more obliging, during the match 2 guys stood to the side of us at the edge of the screen and she promptly asked them to move so we had an uninterrupted view of the match . All in all with excellent food at reasonable prices and service to match it was a shme my day was spoiled somewhat by my team losing the match . Our waitress was so obliging I am sure if I had mentioned it she would have tried to do something to alter the score LOL Mr & Mrs Tucker

Came in to watch the Rugby, not been in here for many years. The staff are warm and friendly, the surroundings bright an spacious. The breakfast menu was so tempting and great value for money so glad we came in! Highly recommended this place for both it's good and it's staff. If you're in Beverley be sure to give them a try!

Found this brilliant pub for the rugby world cup. Excellent breakfast, friendly service and good selection of beer. Definitely worth a visit

Cheap drinks and good for footy

Enjoyed a traditional pub lunch here with a good menu and bar. very rerasonably priced with good service.

Went in for a family meal and was full of rude, disrespectful customers swearing and drinking at 2pm and the staff refused to do anything about it. On top of that the food was expensive for what was glorified small portioned pub grub.

Ordered meat free pie, jacket potato an a spoon full of peas..(my partner got the same) too over 3 quarters of an hour, then when I got it the potato was black inside (which I know isn’t there fault) asked if they could change the potato, it took 15 minutes, an by then my partner had eaten his, I ended up getting my money back An walking out.. he said the potato was hard, it had been to long In the microwave they gave us a free drink, but I’d come out with my partner An wanted to eat with him

Prime location, terrible selection of beers. With the loud music on Friday and Saturday nights, one for the teens or those that pretend to still be young 😆 It may have changed it's name from The Push and had a refurb over the years, but it stills feels like the same place minus the sticky carpets. Where Kings Head and Green Dragon had successful makeovers and continue to serve decent food and drinks, The Grapes seems stuck in its past. However, it continues to be busy on nights, I guess it's just not my thing.

Attended The Grapes with my wife and 22 year old son where my son and I had an all day breakfast whilst my wife had the vegetarian breakfast.

Visited whilst looking for some where to eat. Plenty of variety on the menu. Good value for money. Food was good. Staff friendly and helpful.

Popped in today for a breakfast. Never been in before and have to say was blown away by the quality and price of the full English. Coffee and tea was unlimited refills with the breakfast. Professional and courteous staff...highly recommended.
