We visit Stamford Bridge for a few weeks every summer and always plan a visit to the ice cream shop as we like to call it. It's a good central location and serves lovely sandwiches. On the first and second day we went in, we were served by the friendliest lady. She was so welcoming and nice and went the extra mile. On the third day there was a younger lady with a blonde ponytail who had no customer service skills what so ever. Such a shame really. We will be back though!

Called on way to West Yorkshire Sunday 5th August ordered cheese and pineapple and cheese and onion toasty they came in some kind of roll that you couldn’t bite into and the filling was one tasteless cheese slice and three tiny pieces of pineapple the other a few pieces of raw onion will not visit again and would not recommend the toilets were not very clean as well

In the centre of Stamford Bridge just up the hill from the centre. Lovely for coffee and cake. All freshly baked. Popular with residents and visitors, regular stopping off place for cyclists. Ideal spot for afternoon tea after a walk along the old railway line and viaduct.

We stopped in at Temptations for a quick bite to eat during an afternoon of driving. We had a salad and a sandwich. Both were average at best, but it was a nice break and they kept us going until our evening meal.

20 minutes for two hot sandwiches that weren't even hot? Really? I ordered a tuna melt; my fiance a hot beef baguette. There were two lots of customers in front of us and they only wanted cold sandwiches. There were two staff members, I think one lady serving coffee and other stuff and a lady in the back slowly making sandwiches, two at a time. She worked through the order in succession rather than checking if there is something that could be cooked in the meantime. Instead of putting our sandwiches in the oven whilst getting on with something; after a 15 minute wait she began to slowly assemble our sandwiches which took another five minutes to arrive - not a single apology but we did get a thank you - my fiance enjoyed his, but mine was mediocre - luke warm and the ciabatta wasn't toasted.

This is my second visit to this well positioned cafe in Stamford bridge and on both times my experience has been the sameI ordered a baked potato and was specifically asked if I wanted salad and said NO While waiting for it to be prepared the staff barely spoke to one another other than to listen to the lady who I assume is the owner moan and grumble at the staffWe then watched the plates prepared and salad placed on both plates. All with bare hands and the girl scratching her elbow between handfulls of saladIt was then plonked in front of us with barely a smileI didn't dare mention the salad issueOn the way out I made a point of saying thank you to the owner and barely raised a smile or a thank you Come on it's the simple stuff that matters

This small cafe is a gem providing good fairtrade refreshment and tempting food everyday. Staff are always friendly and welcome cyclists. Combine all this with a loyalty scheme to encourage locals and regular visitors, inside and outside seating, free wifi. Definitely worth a visit.

We visited the parlour on our way home from skipsea, we ordered three all day breakfasts which were delicious! The staff were very friendly from the minute we walked in, my 5 month old was whinging abit as he is teething and without me saying anything one of the staff members brought over an ice cream cone with a little scoop of ice cream for him, he absolutely loved it and gave us all time to eat our meals, then as he finished his I cream the lovely lady brought another over! Absolutely amazing service and very child friendly we left with a very happy baby! And full stomachs all round. Would love to return if we are ever in the area

This coffee shop is in an excellent location in the town, they offer a good selection of cakes , coffee . However ! the people serving managed to conduct the whole exchange with barely a word spoken, no friendly greeting, nothing said when food placed on table all rather odd, also I have never had a sausage sandwich made with a microwaved sausage, surely it should be fried and golden brown not an insipid rubbery tube ? How long does it take to split a sausage and pan fry it , come on you lot you must try harder. The coffee was good though !

I called in with friends recently for a 're-fuelling' stop whilst on a cycling tour. We had the most excellent cakes, very good drinks, generous portions, a bit of a chat with the owner - and all for a very modest sum. We'll be back!

What a little treasure, busy, but very friendly, lovely place. Situated in as little hideaway village by a river. If I ever there again, I will be going back.

Popped into here around lunch time . We spotted the cafe as we had just finished feeing the ducks down by the river and were feeling peckish!! The pub opposite didn't look open nor serve food that we could see. On arrival there was a couple sat outside as there were a couple of small table . Inside was very cosy 4 tables that sited 4 people . We were the first people to arrive at lunchtime inside so could choose a good spot as we had the buggy and 2 small children. The table were clean and everywhere looked clean and inviting , staff were very friendly .Our food came extremely quick and we all enjoyed our sandwiches . We timed it just right as within 15 minutes the cafe was full . A great find and a must to revisit on our next trip to feed the ducks!!Thank you.

The daughter booked it for Mothers Day & the landlord & staff where very welcoming, never been in here before but its a throw back to a proper traditional style pub which i loved. There was only the Sunday menu on but plenty of dishes to choose from me & the wife had the mixed meats Sunday roast & she said it was the best Sunday dinner she has had so you cannot get better praise than that as we have tried a few but the daughters partner had the fish & chips with mushy peas & the fish hung over the plate because it was that big so all in all it was an excellent meal in a proper traditional pub highly recommended. Been again for this Mothers Day & i think the pub has changed hands but the new landlord & landlady where very polite & welcoming especially when i told him that was a brilliant pint of John Smith bitter great service even though they where extremely busy the waitresses never stopped always there if needed & whats very important checked back after a couple of minutes once our Sunday Dinners where served to see if everything was ok with our meals. The new couple who's took over look like there in the process of trying to sort out the extremely large gardens & land this pub has got which means i'll have keep coming back & maybe sample the everyday menu as well its a hard life but very worthwhile LOL. Hopefully the food will be just as good as there Sunday menu but can definitely recommend this place.

A great experience! We had walked from Brough Haven to North Ferriby and on the spur of the moment we decided to have a pub lunch before heading back. We were aiming for a train just after 1pm but the food arrived so promptly that we were out in time for the bus which comes before thatđŸ˜č The food was delicious! It was piping hot and well presented. My husband had the light bite Hunter’s Chicken with chips and a very fresh, colourful side salad. I was delighted to see a really good menu of gluten free dishes and opted for the cheeseburger (2 quality burgers with cheese and lettuce in a Genius roll) and chips. There was so much food I had to leave the bottom piece of bread and my husband had to help me eat the chips
Sadly no room for the very tempting desserts. Great meals and friendly, professional staff. Highly recommended!
