The cafe at the back of the antiques centre is a little hidden gem. We had prawn and avocado salad and Yorkshire platter. Both were really tasty but a MUST if you do go is the Yorkshire platter. Friendly staff and Reasonably priced lunch. We’ll be back.

v nice secret cafe hidden at back of antique centre, with indoor seating area and a wonderful outdoor area with hanging baskets and tubs and a fairy garden. The drinks were nice though no milkshakes or smoothies; the children had milk and we had tea; the vegan cake was wonderful and surprisingly good options for vegans to eat.

We have used this little cafe for years but it looked to have changed hands and isn't a patch on the old one. The bread was cheap, the bacon was cheap and fatty and they must be using the cheapest teabags they can find because you could barely get a colour to the cup! I think they would make more money if they bought proper back bacon instead of streaky fatty bacon and nice baps instead of trying to offer things on fancy sourdough bread and garnishes that people don't need. Stick to good wholesome basics which is what people want. It was a busy Friday lunchtime in the town and yet we were the only people in the cafe which obviously speaks for itself. Unfortunately it looks as though we will have to find somewhere else to eat next time we visit. Very disappointing.

This is a down-to-earth cafe tucked away behind an antiques centre that merits being explored in its own right. We ate in the pleasant enclosed garden, which was a peaceful haven on a busy day. The food was generously proportioned, made from fresh, good quality ingredients and nicely presented. The tea was excellent. Staff were very friendly, although service was a bit hit-and-miss, with drinks initially forgotten. This was quickly sorted and the mix-up added to the non-corporate ambience. Value for money was good and we will visit again. Please note cards are not taken in payment. Also, it appeared to us that the cafe was called the Hideaway Cafe, not Straddles Coffee Shop.

This small and busy café is located inside an antiques shop and has a cute outdoor seating area as well. I ordered a hot chocolate which came with a mountain of cream and marshmallows and my companions ordered afternoon tea with scones which they enjoyed. Prices are very reasonable but unfortunately it seems that this cafe will be closing down next week.

Stumbled upon this tearoom today and I'm so glad we did . The tearoom itself is very quaint but outside in the courtyard is just lovely . Flowers were in full bloom and a very peaceful area to sit and relax in . We ordered the cream scone with tea for two . It didn't dissapoint. The scone was one of the best I've ever tasted and although it did come with squirty cream it made no difference to me . I noticed the rest of the menu and thought that I'd like to come back here at some point to try a warm meal but, I also noticed that the tearoom would be closing down in September which is a shame because we had a lovely experience. Staff were very polite and efficient and I couldn't knock the service at all . Just a shame we won't be able to return before it closes .

We fell into this place. We would have liked to sit outside in the lovely garden. Unfortunately it was a little too chilly. Nice menu.... Good value for money. I had bakewell tart and it was fantastic.

Looked in after visiting the antiques centre. The owner seemed busy with other duties rather than paying attention to potential customers but that was my only 'gripe'. The coffee was good and my tea was lovely and hot and of good quality, as were the mince pies. The place itself looked very attractive and cosy.

Big mistake, it was so cold inside,I know its an antique shop but the cup was chipped and stained, the soup wasnt nice.We paid and left as the owner was in a rant about something else we weren't involved in.There was a beautiful young busker outside - this was the only nice thing about this tea room.Service was not in away friendly.

This is a typical homely British cafe with a beautiful secret garden serving traditional food and beverages with delicious home made cakes. Entrance is via the St Crispin Antique Centre but is a seperate concern. The service was friendly, efficient and prompt our tea and sandwiches arrived complete with side salad, this cafe is obviously very popular judging by the number of customers both inside and sitting in the delightful secret garden, in all a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of the busy high street. Prices are very reasonable from the printed menu and from the specials board, we will return on our next visit to Beverley, to rest one's weary feet!! in this enchanting cafe.

Had to find a staff member to show us to our table. Seating upholstery stained. Floor had crumbs and debris on it around our table and surrounding tables. Salt and pepper pots sticky and unclean. Portions small, peas were dry and tasteless, tartar sauce was served in a chipped dish. No one checked meal quality until we had finished eating. Staff rushed off their feet. Waited 30 minutes for desert.

first few times the super steps breakfast was really good. Friendly staff good prices. Within the last few days went again but although the breakfast was the same size the addition of a 6" piece of human hair on the plate was off putting to say the least. Not going again

Nipped in for a beer whilst out shopping in Beverly. It's a little difficult to find as it's on the next street back from the market. It's a bit like Dr Who's Tardis, looks small from the outside, but it's not, its massive inside. Lots of the usual spoons drinks on offer, plus lots of real ales on the bear festival menu. Toilets were of course, upstairs!

Lovely food, friendly staff and fantastic views! Everything was beautiful! The staff were very kind and helpful in accommodating my awkward food habits! Definitely recommend anything on the breakfast menu (especially the £6 sandwich and drink deal). We visited twice and tried the scones the second time. Very tasty!
