Fantastic welcome, service, food and drink from Liz and the team. I went for the Signature burger and a pint of Pedi. Perfect

10/10 for the table service, staff were great and very attentive. Nice warm atmosphere and food was amazing! Really good size portions, we left absolutely stuffed 100% recommend and we will definitely be coming again

It's a pleasant place to visit. A long wait for food in the day we went. Shame there was no rotisserie chicken.

Very friendly member of staff who checked me into the hotel. Room was clean and very comfortable. Great price compared to similar hotels in the area. I really liked that parking was free as I had to pay £7 to park at a competitor hotel and these are things that make me not want to return. The most valuable thing for me is that my room was very quiet. It’s so much easier to relax in a peaceful room. Room was nice and spacious with good facilities. Suggestions would be to make it clear what to do with your key card if checking out early as I had to wave through the pub windows to get someone’s attention when I left. Not a huge deal but something to think about. Thanks for a great stay!

A really lovely friendly pub. Made to feel very welcome with our accompanying spaniel Max by Jay and rge duty team. Really recommend.

Stopped off for breakfast and although wasnt busy it was quite a long wait. Lovely coffee but the food was very disappointing. Ordered poached egg on toast with a side of beans the egg was hard, beans were cold and the bread was only toasted on one side and no butter provided. Dont think will return. Felt sorry for the one waitress that was trying to do all jobs

I had forgotten just how lovely it is here! It was a last min decision to visit. We both decided on two starters and a dessert. The soup was delicious. The other starter ‘Sticky Chicken’ was the nicest starter I’ve had in a long time, I’ll definitely be back for this alone! It was quiz night and a lovely friendly atmosphere in the pub. The chap who served us was friendly and he offered to take our order to save us messing about on our phones with an app! It’s what us oldies want - conversation!!! Also an app does not tell you what soup of the day is! Anyway he offered to take our order without us having to ask him which was lovely. I think the main reason I have not visited in ages was that I hadn’t realised you can sit indoors with your dog. It’s lovely that they welcome well behaved pups! We’ll definitely be returning sooner rather than later! Big thanks to the chap for his excellent customer service! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Stayed here for 2 nights in September, Rooms were clean and spacious, with comfy beds and lots of soft pillows (on request). Large flat screen TV, Tea and Coffee making facilities. Good size bath/shower. Very quiet. The bar/food area is nicely furnished, and they have a nice beer garden. Staff are very helpful and friendly. A good selection of drinks on offer at the bar. We had the full English Breakfast which was hot, very nice, and of good value. The Evening Meal was very nice (Steak) and (Mixed Grill). The service was very good and quick. Special Mention goes to Nathan, who served our breakfast, and was helpful to us and had a long friendly chat about the Lobster Pot and the area in general, and took an interest in our activities. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Excellent! Last time we waited 30 minutes for food. 3 minutes to order and good food came in 10!

Extremely slow service, only 1 other person eating and took 45 minutes for the starter to arrive. The pate was a generous portion but the toast was tiny, make the portions match. The tables are sticky, you can scrape off the layers, they need a thorough clean and sand. Beer was nice and the wine was lovely.

Not really impressed by the food. The menu said, crackling, stuffing, parsnips in maple syrup and red wine gravy. No crackling. No stuffing. Parsnips were totally devoid of any kind of taste, not sure how you do that. The gravy may have been near a bottle of red wine, but not put into the gravy. One slice of pork, one slice of beef and two tiny pieces of chicken. Drove from Hull, very disappointed. Told the waitress that there was no crackling, she went away, never came back.

The fish was flaky, the batter crisp, and the chips perfectly seasoned. Paired with a refreshing pint of beer, this was the ultimate pub experience. Highly recommended for a tea night out

Visited quite late on a Sunday evening and unfortunately, they had clearly been really busy earlier in the day as they had run out of many things. I had the cheese and leak pie and hubby had a burger. Both very happy with our food. Service was good.

Great food though lots of items were unavailable meaning there was a limited menu available.

Seated fairly quickly, table service. Drinks order taken, came again for drinks. Took about 40 minutes for food to arrive but it was a party of 7. The food was well presented, hot on arrival and all was correct. Toilets are clean and well stocked. Would visit again

Always feel looked after at the LP lindsay and Liz always make the visits memorable. Food is great and massively improved in the last few months, I like the old world decor , always feels clean and well presented.

Turned up after making booking online. First thing was a massive list of food they never had which only left a couple of meals on menu . Had fish and chips but they had no chunky chips so had sweet potato fries instead which was charged extra. Food had no flavour was so bland if I was not hungry after a long drive would of walked out. All 4 of us in our group will never eat here again save your money and go somewhere else.

No problem whatsoever lovely staff v friendly good food the accommodation is on site but separate to the pub which is good the room we had was clean and tidy plenty of parking we enjoyed our stay

Went for evening meal on Sunday evening 8/09/2034, before being seated we were told there were no roast dinners and no sea bass. After looking through the menu we decided to leave as those were the meals the four of us wanted. We again went for breakfast on the following Wednesday morning.we were greeted by a friendly young lady who was working on her own, showing people to their tables, taking orders delivering food and taking payments. The food when it arrived was almost inedible. The toast was burnt on one side and not cooked on the other side, it had no butter on the toast the poached eggs were rock hard and the beans and mushrooms were almost none excistant. Felt sorry for the waitress as she was very obliging while working under extreme circumstances.

Stopped here for 2 nights staff very friendly and helpful, didn't get chance to try the food but others seemed happy 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Had a very unpleasant visit here waited over an hour for food garlic bread came and was dry and unpalatable when returned was resent the same one with burnt bits looked like old oil poured on top. Main course never arrived when complained to a staff member (who would not confirm if she was the duty manager) started shouting at me asking me to leave and threatened to call the police! Absolute disgraceful behaviour and very embarrassing for all. We only wanted a nice meal and wasnt rude in anyway just stated the facts to her. This staff member gave an unacceptable level of service and was incapable of doing her job and was extremely unprofessional and actually made the situation much worse .

Visited Sunday 8th Sept mid afternoon the restaurant was clean and smart took a couple of minutes to get seated in a very quiet restaurant. Then we had to wait longer than was necessary to place our order, another table of six near us were also getting impatient we both had to stop the waitress to ask her to take our order. When the order was in the drinks and food turned up quite quickly and was tasty and reasonably priced the only downside was the wait to get the order in.There were quite a few staff around so seems they were not being utilised in the correct way.

We were lucky to get a table, as the majority were reserved or taken when we arrived early evening. The staff were very accommodating, and after checking on their system, there had been a cancellation, so they were able to squeeze us in. The staff were all cheerful and made sure that you were treated with respect and felt at home. The food was really tasty and was plentiful. I would definitely return.

If your from out of town, like to be refused drinks and be looked down on like a peasent then this is the place for you! 140 quid for mediocre meals and poor service.. stay clear..

To say our steak was small,does a disservice to small,it was slightly bigger than my thumb, I wish I had taken a picture. My wife only had an hour for lunch,she went over that. The starter was amazing,as was my daughter's fish pieces. It's been a good few years since our last visit, I can safely say it will be a good few years before we visit again.

Overpriced small portions over rayted dont wasye your money

First time visit, beautiful surroundings to have a drink, disappointed with the food, not value for money, green salad is one way of cost cutting, just a pile of lettuce, coleslaw needs to be cut finer. Had hunters chicken, not sure if I'll be eating there again, great for a drink.

We visited Lobster Pot back in March and really enjoyed it so decided to come again - we pre-booked our table for 2 plus our dog for 7:30pm, we arrived early and were told our table wasn’t ready which was understandable as we were early. At 7:40pm we still were waiting so went to find out how long our table would be, we were told it still wasn’t ready so they seated us at another table. We ordered starters which took about 40 minutes to come, but they were really tasty. We then had another half hour/40 minutes wait for our main. Chips were missing from one dish which we were told would come out soon, they had also mistakenly put mash potato on another dish instead of chips so told us they would bring another portion of chips. When we were almost finished eating we still hadnt had our chips fetched to our table and no longer wanted them as we were full. It is a shame of this experience as the previous time we came was much better. Our advice would be to just get a burger if you come. We also had to find our own menus when we were seated.

Really enjoy my visits to the Lobster Pot. Both myself and my granddaughter feel at home here. Hard to single anyone out but Kaitlyn was excellent sorting out a minor issue promptly, and also Hollie, who as usual made us both feel so welcome, they are both a credit to the Lobster Pot, and I cannot wait to return soon.

Great pub with beautiful food. Great selection and very well presented. Very friendly staff who can’t do enough for you. Recently moved to Bridlington and already iv been here 6 times with family and friends. Our local pub now. Love it .

Came for food here many times and the service is always exceptional. In particular the two girls serving Izzy and Hollie are always amazing, very helpful and polite always ensuring every need is met. The food is also amazing would highly recommend for food we will be back!!

Delicious food and reasonably priced. I'd recommend a chicken burger and haloumi fries that were made to perfection. We were served by Hollie and Kaitlin, who were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend Lobster Pot for a great atmosphere, great food, and friendly service. Also, good value.

Attended this place four years on the Trot and every year been left disappointed and vouched we would never attend again However this year we saw it had been taken over so decided to give it another go! Complete let down once again, half the stuff from the menu unavailable, items shown on the menu online no longer available as they have reduced their menu but not updated the menus in the restaurant, very dull interior, pie and pint night which we were not told about until we saw a poster on the wall, staff who do not know anything you ask them and have to go away and refer to senior staff for answers, we ordered fish and chips for 3 people, the fish inside was nice and decent size but the batter was burnt and they are clearly on rations for potatoes as there were hardly any chips, the child’s chicken tenders were also burnt and the hunters chicken although tasty was extremely small. When the manager asked how our meal was at the end we told him how small the chicken was he commented that he knew he had mentioned it to the chef last night! Clearly this has fallen on deaf ears and they choose to continue serving even though they know there is a problem with the portion size. Def won’t be giving this place another chance. A pub in this location with a brand new housing estate around it should be booming!!!

I came here with my family and friends and food was amazing. I had the hunters chicken with the upgrade to buttermilk chicken and it was perfect. Our server Hollie also went above and beyond to deliver what we needed and always had a smile on her face. The atmosphere was lovely and we will definitely be back

After a family visit to Lobster Pot, we would definitely visit again. The service we received was beyond expectations and Izzy ensured all our needs were met in a very polite, professional manner. The food was beautifully presented and the quality exceptional. The atmosphere was great and it is a lovely place.

Great food unfortunately served by rude, unhelpful staff not suited to the hospitality industry me thinks. "Senior" server had a very abrupt manner and managed to take both our initial drinks order and main meal order wrong. Similar attitude from another server (I have a very easy going nature btw). Further to order issues, a glass of wine was served in a glass with 2 inch crack in it - response from staff was to wait while other orders taken, and when it was dealt with I suspect they simply poured the wine into a different shaped glass and returned to us. It's a shame as the food was very nice and they pub looks great but I certainly won't be returning and wouldn't recommend it to others.

Food was ok. Service was ok but can be much better. We stayed one night room was ok but air conditioning not working well so the room is warm.

The Lobster Pot is a large Marston's pub. There is a good selection of beers, lager and cider, including two cask conditioned real ales. It's a large comfortable pub manly aimed at the food trade although I haven't eaten here the menu had plenty of variety and the meals coming out of the kitchen looked very nice. The staff are friendly and welcoming. There is a nice outside seating area and children's play area.

We really enjoyed our visit to the Lobster Pot during our stay in Bridlington, we were pleased to find such a nice dog friendly pub with nice staff and food that we found lovely and well presented, would definitely visit next time in the area

Only went as the kids wanted to go. Previously had average food and wasn’t really looking forward to going but something must have changed! The food was fantastic and the service was great! We’re going back again tomorrow.

We arrived at 6 to celebrate an important family celebration be told that there were lots of items missing from the menu. When we booked we had checked the menu beforehand to ensure that there was something available for my wife to eat as she is on a medically reduced diet. There was nothing available on the menu that she could have once we arrived. There was only a handful of customers there yet the wait time was over 40 minutes for food. The staff were unhelpful and uninterested and just shrugged at us. We had no choice but to leave without ordering. At such late notice we could not find anywhere else to eat and had to go home and cook a meal, which meant that our children did not then eat until after 8pm and this spoiled our special day.

Visited on Sunday lunch time, for a family meal, Food was lovely and a good choice of drinks, our waitress was amazing Lindsey couldn't do enough for us, very happy and knowledgeable, will definitely be returning

Very friendly staff. Steak and ale pie lacked seasoning, other 2 diners stated their food was tasty. Recommend that you visit early in the day as little cooked food available after 19:30. Pleasant venue.

Told no walk ins so booked online in the car park. Slow service due to staff shortage. Pastry in steak and ale pie was stodgey and tasteless.

Nathan our server was great, food took 50 mins to come, most of it was good, coleslaw was horrible though, burgers are good, £50 for two mains , a side and two drinks

Had a family meal, service was ok , food was ok….. I had the halloumi and red pepper flatbread which was nice but the halloumi was so over cooked it was crunchy hard , my daughter had the buttermilk chicken and again was very over cooked. Took ages for our plates to be cleared after. Not sure we would return .

This is the worst place i have EVER eat,staff are very ignorant and dirty scruffy looking,the portion sizes are very very small and you dont get any where near tasting what you ordered,curry was what i would describe as a boil in the bag curry from lidl at a price of nearly £15 , kebab was ridiculous and tasted awful it came without choritzo so let them know and a slice of choritzo was brought to the table uncooked,tables were that sticky my shirt had to be peeled from it . Avoid this place if you can and dont want to feel quite angry about what it cost you for what you got .....DISGUSTING PLACE !

Had a 5 night stay here. Jay and the rest of the Staff are very polite and helpful. Meals are of good potions and has vegetables as main choice with meals instead of chips. If you like a hot starter I would recommend the Buttermilk Chicken Tenders with red chillies and Spring onions. Breakfasts are cooked fresh to order.

We came here today as we are staying nearby in Barmston. We were unsure where to sit as we had our dog with us and asked a staff member for assistance. The lady was really friendly and helpful, explained where we could sit and made sure we were okay. Food arrived in good time and was really good. Everything was good quality and nice & hot. The waiter that cleared our plates was also very friendly and polite. We felt very comfortable dining there and would definitely recommend. We will return if we come back to the area in the future. *5 The lady had short hair and was wearing a summer dress and lanya. I assumed she might be the manager. The waiter was an older gentleman (older than the other waiter we saw) with longish hair (not shaved or very short). Sorry, I didn’t catch their names!

We’ve been on numerous occasions and always had a great meal. Liz the manager was very friendly and the staff always have a smile. Can’t wait to visit again.

Whilst in the area on holiday we had our evening meal at the lobster pot. Lovely place with a dog friendly area which was ideal for us. Really friendly staff and food very tasty. We will definitely dine again when in the area.

The staff member izzy, was very polite and well mannered. Checked up to make sure everything was good, explained dishes very well and made sure drinks were full. Atmosphere was very family friendly, very calm and full filled. 3 of us came for food, dishes were very nice, sweet potato fries were to die for! garlic bread didnt taste like garlic and burger was abit burnt but apart from that was very nice.

Ate here today for what was intended to be a late lunch (2pm) after a long drive from London. We waited over 1 hour for food. The bread with my food was hard and stale (picture attached) and the waitress got me a knew serving of bread when I asked (thank you) and didn’t appear to be surprised at the request . The bread was hard the way bread gets hard when it’s left out . Top tips for the managers; 1) please consider whether servers should be letting new patrons into the establishment when staff very likely are aware of a massive backlog and delay in food so that they can make an informed choice about whether they wish to be seated or not 2) Please advise your patrons when there is a backlog/ delay with food and let them know so that they can make an informed choice as to whether to order with you 3) Please provide some background music- this will help patrons not having to hear people at other tables also complaining to each other about the horrendous delays and will at least give patrons something to take their mind off the time 4) If you’re going to be long bringing out food (your reviews suggest this is a consistent theme) then please at least pass out some pens, paper, colouring books to kids (mine were fine but other younger children at other tables were literally climbing up the walls and very hungry) 5) Please get your waiters to ask patrons how the food is and when the bill is asked for to kindly bring it along with a card machine rather than ignoring the customers (I suspect this was a mixture of embarrassment and also staff being rushed off their feet) 6) Please provide water to your guests and at least offer another drink and name the fact that there are servere delays ie; “so sorry there seems to be a backlog with the food would you like to order another drink whilst you wait?” 7) I also wonder - why you have the name Lobster in the title of your establishment when I didn’t seem to see this on the menu? Just a thought- as lobster conjures up images of extravagance and luxury…. You don’t add a service charge to your bills which didn’t give me the satisfaction of asking you to remove it. I expect you probably don’t add a service charge (in London it is added nearly all the time) knowing full well that the service your team provides is not acceptable. The staff who were serving today- two of them were quite young (early 20s if that) and really it’s not fair on these staff to be serving food in an establishment which is below par where they are likely to get the brunt of customers wrath (I wasn’t rude but can imagine some patrons will be as they get well and truly frustrated and hangry). Today was our first day and taste (literally ) of Bridlington- onwards and upwards let’s hope and there won’t be a lobster pot in sight! I hope for other diners who go here, that the service gets better. No one in this day and age should have to go out and have a thoroughly awful time with suboptimal service and food which only just scrapes past acceptable. The free parking was great and the female toilets were clean and spacious- so if you like toilets and car parks then this place is for you!

This was the worst meal we have ever had service was very poor and we had to Waite one and half-hour when we were told there was half hour Waite the chicken was not cooked and it was so small it looked ridiculous on the plate we paid over one hundred pounds will not teccomrmd very very poor

Food was nice, better than some other Marstons we’ve been to. It did take 50mins to arrive from ordering. Adults meals came out before the children’s. Fish and chips was nice. Stake burger was over done Roast dinners for the children was lovely and plenty of it. Service was pleasant enough. Tables a little to close together, you could visibly see people didn’t want to sit down when shown to there tables. Other than that I would return. There is outdoor seating and a little park on the grounds.

Was told 45 minute wait. Waited 2 hrs for food very expensive. Food disgusting had to send undercooked chicken back. Waste of £120 on 7 meals

Very nice food and a pleasant atmosphere, with the only down side being the place seemed under staffed - this is in no way a negative comment towards those working, but for the amount of guests in there was a longer than average wait for service.

Been many times on way home from bridlington for dinner thats.why we called and thought it was empty for such a busy.place anyway placed our 4 orders service was prompt food was over cooked mine was one tiny chicken breast on a new.yorker chips over cooked few scraps of lettuce my friends fish and chips were hard over done she was offered another but refused as all.meals went.upt to much needs to change whatever is going on at the.moment

Expectations high but very disappointed. Meal not served hot and lacking in all respects steak cold chips same cold. Ate meal due to being hungry having waited. Some inconsiderate person smoking in no smoking area, dog whining. Only good point was friendly staff however didn't come to check if meals were ok... Si posted this instead.. No plans to return.

The food was very nice and the staff were very friendly. However when you go, please note that you will get your ID checked for ordering a mocktail, even if everyone at the table has ordered a non-alcoholic drink. When asking the staff why, they could not tell us.

We had a table booking to 7 30 arrived early for a drink or two we were told there was a hour wait for food and when we asked if we could take our table early we were sternly told no .We eventually received our meals 70 minutes after ordering as a Burton family on holiday we were ashamed of you Marstons

Very disappointing. 10 items not available saying they had a busy weekend but I went past Sat and Sun and hardly anyone there. Had out 3rd choice food. Lasagne microwaved within an inch of its life. Mouldy salad. Mine was burger. Burgers burnt. Even the dog turned her nose up. What a shame. Peak season. No wonder it was empty
