Very disappointed with the food quality been very poor to say that the place was very quiet. Steak pies were cold and the chips very anemic and peas dried up as though they had been keep under heat lamps too long. The hunters chicken was over cooked and dry. Our party opted for a dessert and wished that they hadn't. The staff member who served us reached over us to pass food to the the people on the otherside of the table instead of walking round to them and not the most pleasant of odours. We will not be returning as feel that it was a waste of over £60 on food alone.

Food was good . Relaxed atmosphere and dogs allowed in 👍 Will definitely call in next time we are in the area .

This place is just a joke. We went on a Saturday ( already left feedback for that visit) and then we went last night. We were greeted by a young man who was very pleasant but quite obviously stressed, we had booked so he sat us at our table, we were then greeted by a surly miserable young woman, who asked if we wanted drinks which we did, so when she came back she read off a great long list of stuff they didn’t have. No steaks, no chicken, no mixed grill and on it went, so i asked why on earth don’t you just close if you haven’t got anything on the menu; I know it wasn’t her fault but her attitude didn’t help as we were by then already annoyed by the whole set up, I appreciate it’s the week between Christmas and new year and things are tricky but you are a massive chain, this shouldn’t happen and then be even more wound up by miserable staff….. we definitely wont be going back

Booked for 3 courses boxing day never been so disappointed mushroom starter overcooked, main cold and roast potatoes were more like boiled. We had preordered christmas pudding but was told none left. Asked to speak to manager but sent waitress to deal with problem. We spent £80 in total and have never been so disappointed.

Having been seated we asked if anything was not available and were told that there were 6 items on the menu that were not! Including fish and chips, steak pies, sirloin steak and lasagna (we could not even see the lasagna on the menu). The rib-eye was tough the burger over peppered. Ordering at the bar was interrupted when the server decided to check someone into the hotel other staff just passed by without making eye contact or saying someone will be wit you shortly. All in all we feel the Lobster Pot let them selves down.

Great food though lots of items were unavailable meaning there was a limited menu available.

Food when available is good, beds are the comfiest ever but cleanliness of toiltets is despicable. Breakfast not worth the money. Not everything out/ available.

Stayed overnight to visit relatives over Christmas we were let in a timely fashion the room was lovely and clean and we even had a Christmas card and cracker left from housekeeping. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Grim, is a fair word for the Lobster pot. Service is among the very slackest I have ever encountered. No urgency in the staff whatsoever. The place was not even a quarter full but still took just over an hour to receive our starters. Then overheard a customer complaining of a lemon tart still partially frozen and a chocolate brownie under done. That's when we really started to wonder why we bothered to retry this place 2 yrs later. Burgers were fine ,very edible. But no coleslaw accompanying any dish. My daughters macaroni cheese was substandard, served up in a shallow dish which must have been left under the heat lamp for an age. Very crusty and hard. The bread was nice though. Basically I couldn't even bother to complain as the staff had very little interest in trying to make our visit enjoyable at the least, so felt like I would be banging my head against the wall. Paid up and walked, no more Marstens. Will say though you have a lovely big carpark.

We have been for Christmas dinner today.and from going in to coming out was a very nice experience. Great reception amazing food and the service was second to none. We were in fir 12 noon and left at 2pm. Credit to everyone involved and we will be booking again for next year. Thank you to all the management and all your staff. Good atmosphere, friendly staff. Tasty food for breakfast and dinner, including a reasonable amount of gluten free options. I really enjoyed the breakfast omelette, and for dinner I've had the Hunter's chicken, Caesar salad and chicken tikka masala. Staff are very good when it comes to understanding dietary restrictions when taking your order. We often stay at the hotel next to the pub when we visit Bridlington due to the reasonable prices and good food here.

We had lunch today with friends. What a lovely experience, from the friendly welcome from Lindsey, who knew that we had booked, to the food from the lunch menu which was very good. I particularly appreciated the care and attention Lindsey paid to my egg allergy, advising me on what was suitable for me to eat. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, and the staff checking to see that we had everything we needed. We have had similar experiences here before but for our friends it was a first visit and they are planning to visit again on their way up the coast. Thank you Lindsey you were very much appreciated.

A massive carpark, best to leave your bags in the car as reception is in the pub and the rooms are in a different building Quick check in all info given Room was up some stairs no lift available The room was a good size plenty of space as was the bathroom. Shower was hot and powerful, bed was very comfortable WiFi wasn't that great Evening meal was OK plenty of choice on the menu good value No breakfast included but could add if wanted. A short walk to the seafront also good for a run . Back again on the 2/12/24 Still excellent value and good to stay ! Would I stay again and recommend definitely yes 👍

Went for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon in December. We practically had the place to ourselves. The food was fine and the service was excellent, friendly and helpful. We have visited the restaurant over many years and it is consistently welcoming and never disappoints

Last came here a few years ago and gave it a glowing review. Not so now though. We came Sunday 5pm and ordered the Sunday roast. When it came there was lots of it, but it was luke warm and the roast potatoes were rubbery like they had been reheated from the lunchtime carvery. My husband ordered turkey and I ordered pork, but we were both given pork. Although they did serve hubby's with cranberry sauce 😂. The restaurant was really chilly and not a cosy inviting place to have a nice meal. I pulled out my chair after being shown to our table, and the seat fabric was worn through to the blue foam underneath. The chairs looked dirty and tatty, not what you want to sit on when you are wearing nice clothes. There were only a couple of people in the restaurant when we arrived, but we stood waiting to be shown to the table whilst the staff were chatting at the till. A man came out of the kitchen and came to show us to the table. Food hygiene states that food needs to be served at a safe temperature to avoid bacterial growth and food poisoning, this fell very below a safe temperature. I teach cookery for a living, and would never recommend the food here on that basis. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get photos.

I know it's a dog friendly pub but come on putting a dog were ur eating and the barcking when ur trying to eat is not good at all food was nice the staff need to smile more as well beer smelt like it's been down the bog don't think il be back

To say our steak was small,does a disservice to small,it was slightly bigger than my thumb, I wish I had taken a picture. My wife only had an hour for lunch,she went over that. The starter was amazing,as was my daughter's fish pieces. It's been a good few years since our last visit, I can safely say it will be a good few years before we visit again. The Lobster Pot has replied, I have rung and reserved a table, I didn't speak to a human,it was automated,even though they said to ring. I'll let you know the outcome tonight after the meal, fingers crossed it's the world better than the last one.

Lovely to look at from the road.. that's all the positive feedback I have. 2 adults and 3 children. We were sat on a table out of the way which was fine. But we were more than forgotten about. Was told it was table service. Yet after waiting more than 20 minutes I had to leave the table to find a staff member to order desserts for the kids (ice creams).. we then waited close to 30 minutes for them to bring them out. Clearly forgotten about as I had to ask a staff member where they were. Portion sizes were ridiculous. The kids meals looked bigger than the adults. I had the chicken and chorizo kabab. Which consisted of two cubes of chicken, some burnt red onion, a huge dry flat bread. And a whole bag of rocket. Way over priced for the quality of food way over priced for the quality of service. I had to find a staff member for the bill. Who has no interest in the quality of our stay, just a grunt "card or cash" There was no satisfaction checks throughout our stay. When I told the staff member I was unhappy, the was no form of apology, just a small discount. The restaurant was far from busy, and if anything overstaffed as they were all stood in the bar area talking amongst themselves. To be honest. I don't know what we were expecting, but it certainly wasn't to be felt like we were neglected because we had children with us, and then to pay for our experience on top of this was nothing short of an insult. Will not be returning, Will not be recommending WILL be spreading the word for people to avoid.

The food was ok nicely served and standard for the establishment. The service, however, was exceptionally good. we were welcomed and asked if we had booked ( we hadn't). The young girl checked and showed us to a table. The girl that took our drinks order was really nice and friendly too our young grandson was eager to give his order she listened and chatted away to him. Each time both of these girls came to the table, they were smiley and chatty. Our food was ready when a 3rd lady helped with that yet another smile and friendly chat whilst serving us. We then got the chap that served drinks he was just the same. The staff that served us were brilliant and made sure to give us a warm welcome they are a credit to The lobster pot they worked well together, I would say half the tables were in use and the service never faltered.

The girls was friendly but the Sunday roast was cold certainly not worth £16.79 didn’t get stuffing& crackling as stated we at to mention it

4 of us went in around 4pm on the off chance they would still be serving on a Wednesday. Greeted by the host Liz who was epic. Sat down straight away. Lovely chatty and quick service. I ordered the mixed grill, others had chicken and mushroom pie, meat and potato pie and a sausage and mash. My mix grill was beyond epic and done how I asked, the others loved their food but standing out was the gravy. We highly recommend this place. Perfect food, great drinks but the host and the staff make this an experience you will definitely be happy with. An 5 star venue.

Service...a bit hit and miss, but generally ok. It seems there's only a few staff members on service ,which at busier times means a long wait for your food. The staff are pleasant and do their best, so it's a try it and see situation. Generally clean and tidy but well worn in some areas. The seat I was on had the foam padding gouged out on the front ,the sort of thing I'd expect in a salvage yard office. Toilets were ok,and worked. Doors to the toilets were filthy from lack of adequate cleaning . Menu was comprehensive and something for everyone, however the plate price of the main courses didn't quite match the quality, with poor vegetables and carrots. I've had much better for £3 less. Kids menu was ok, however we ordered some chicken pieces , that must've come from a cremation...,. Very poor for 5.99. Tip get the chicken from the adult starters menu , it's 200 times better. 3 out of 5 ? Yes...nearly good...but no cigar.

Popped in following visit to the area, nothing we wanted on the menu but given the day expected. Moved to drinks only area but staff accommodating. Only weird point was when my 2 year old niece was told off for going near the bandit and looking at the lights on the way out with her grandfather of 80+years. A bit over zealous. However if I had been there I'd have held the two bells. Not that she understood or my father at his age heard. Maybe we took attention away from the party vaping inside the restaurant. #wantapictureofthatlobsterletmeknow

Delicious food, all fresh and very tasty. Generous Sunday lunch and tasty puddings. The prices aren't too bad except the Pepsi at nearly £4 a glass. For such a quiet time, service could've been quicker I'd say, and the staff, while polite, were not all that happy in their role. Would return though, on the strength of the food quality. Update: more excellent food, delivered quickly this time, with excellent friendly service. Just one small gripe. We didn't really get much gravy on the Sunday roast (the pic is from last time), and when we asked for a little more we received a very small pot between us and were charged for it! Another update. Excellent food and service, no qualms at all.

A decent pub meal outside of Brid. The servers are super polite and nice. The burger and cauliflower wings were surprisingly good. Solid pub food options. For people with kids - massive outside area with playground to keep your kiddos happy.

Went on a recce to see what it was like and found it a nice place to eat outside the seaside town of Bridlington. Went at lunch time midweek and it was quiet. We were greeted with a smile and shown to our table. The food we ordered was nice no complaints so we booked a table for a family get together. Update Saturday the 2nd of November waited for food up to 40 minutes in a not busy bar/restaurant thinking my star rating needs to go down after the second bad experience.

Not the best meal I've had, steak was supposed to be well done, came out black and burnt.Wife pie was straight out of a microwave and didn't taste nice (could tell it been microwave as very hot), kids found foil in pudding, kids hated food and everyone complained about how slow service was.For few times I've been to this place we would not return again .👎👎😞

Looked online and there were tables available to book. Turned up and got told that we couldn’t eat because the restaurant was fully booked. Showed them that we could still book online so would do that to be told that didn’t mean we could eat. Turned away despite there being tables available. Very poor. Avoid!

Service & meal was good, but knives could do with sharpening, we had trouble cutting through roast potatoes.

Tables were very sticky. Went to order fish and they didn't have any!! Didn't really have any interaction with the staff.

Shabby rooms, could do with uplift, carpets especially. Shower poor and quite cold. Overall appearance very 70s.

20 minutes stood waiting to be seated in what appeared to be an almost empty restaurant to be told table bookings only :/ as a regular customer Iv never made a booking in the 6 or more years prior to this evening and sure il never return

First time eating here, but definitely won't be the last. Very nice food and great service. Plenty of space to maneuver my electric wheelchair. Ample room in disabled toilet & parking too.

It's a pleasant place to visit. A long wait for food in the day we went. Shame there was no rotisserie chicken.

Very friendly member of staff who checked me into the hotel. Room was clean and very comfortable. Great price compared to similar hotels in the area. I really liked that parking was free as I had to pay £7 to park at a competitor hotel and these are things that make me not want to return. The most valuable thing for me is that my room was very quiet. It’s so much easier to relax in a peaceful room. Room was nice and spacious with good facilities. Suggestions would be to make it clear what to do with your key card if checking out early as I had to wave through the pub windows to get someone’s attention when I left. Not a huge deal but something to think about. Thanks for a great stay!

Stopped off for breakfast and although wasnt busy it was quite a long wait. Lovely coffee but the food was very disappointing. Ordered poached egg on toast with a side of beans the egg was hard, beans were cold and the bread was only toasted on one side and no butter provided. Dont think will return. Felt sorry for the one waitress that was trying to do all jobs

I had forgotten just how lovely it is here! It was a last min decision to visit. We both decided on two starters and a dessert. The soup was delicious. The other starter ‘Sticky Chicken’ was the nicest starter I’ve had in a long time, I’ll definitely be back for this alone! It was quiz night and a lovely friendly atmosphere in the pub. The chap who served us was friendly and he offered to take our order to save us messing about on our phones with an app! It’s what us oldies want - conversation!!! Also an app does not tell you what soup of the day is! Anyway he offered to take our order without us having to ask him which was lovely. I think the main reason I have not visited in ages was that I hadn’t realised you can sit indoors with your dog. It’s lovely that they welcome well behaved pups! We’ll definitely be returning sooner rather than later! Big thanks to the chap for his excellent customer service! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Excellent! Last time we waited 30 minutes for food. 3 minutes to order and good food came in 10!

Stayed here for 2 nights in September, Rooms were clean and spacious, with comfy beds and lots of soft pillows (on request). Large flat screen TV, Tea and Coffee making facilities. Good size bath/shower. Very quiet. The bar/food area is nicely furnished, and they have a nice beer garden. Staff are very helpful and friendly. A good selection of drinks on offer at the bar. We had the full English Breakfast which was hot, very nice, and of good value. The Evening Meal was very nice (Steak) and (Mixed Grill). The service was very good and quick. Special Mention goes to Nathan, who served our breakfast, and was helpful to us and had a long friendly chat about the Lobster Pot and the area in general, and took an interest in our activities. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Extremely slow service, only 1 other person eating and took 45 minutes for the starter to arrive. The pate was a generous portion but the toast was tiny, make the portions match. The tables are sticky, you can scrape off the layers, they need a thorough clean and sand. Beer was nice and the wine was lovely.

The fish was flaky, the batter crisp, and the chips perfectly seasoned. Paired with a refreshing pint of beer, this was the ultimate pub experience. Highly recommended for a tea night out

Not really impressed by the food. The menu said, crackling, stuffing, parsnips in maple syrup and red wine gravy. No crackling. No stuffing. Parsnips were totally devoid of any kind of taste, not sure how you do that. The gravy may have been near a bottle of red wine, but not put into the gravy. One slice of pork, one slice of beef and two tiny pieces of chicken. Drove from Hull, very disappointed. Told the waitress that there was no crackling, she went away, never came back.

Seated fairly quickly, table service. Drinks order taken, came again for drinks. Took about 40 minutes for food to arrive but it was a party of 7. The food was well presented, hot on arrival and all was correct. Toilets are clean and well stocked. Would visit again

Visited quite late on a Sunday evening and unfortunately, they had clearly been really busy earlier in the day as they had run out of many things. I had the cheese and leak pie and hubby had a burger. Both very happy with our food. Service was good.

Always feel looked after at the LP lindsay and Liz always make the visits memorable. Food is great and massively improved in the last few months, I like the old world decor , always feels clean and well presented.

Turned up after making booking online. First thing was a massive list of food they never had which only left a couple of meals on menu . Had fish and chips but they had no chunky chips so had sweet potato fries instead which was charged extra. Food had no flavour was so bland if I was not hungry after a long drive would of walked out. All 4 of us in our group will never eat here again save your money and go somewhere else.

Went for evening meal on Sunday evening 8/09/2034, before being seated we were told there were no roast dinners and no sea bass. After looking through the menu we decided to leave as those were the meals the four of us wanted. We again went for breakfast on the following Wednesday morning.we were greeted by a friendly young lady who was working on her own, showing people to their tables, taking orders delivering food and taking payments. The food when it arrived was almost inedible. The toast was burnt on one side and not cooked on the other side, it had no butter on the toast the poached eggs were rock hard and the beans and mushrooms were almost none excistant. Felt sorry for the waitress as she was very obliging while working under extreme circumstances.

Visited Sunday 8th Sept mid afternoon the restaurant was clean and smart took a couple of minutes to get seated in a very quiet restaurant. Then we had to wait longer than was necessary to place our order, another table of six near us were also getting impatient we both had to stop the waitress to ask her to take our order. When the order was in the drinks and food turned up quite quickly and was tasty and reasonably priced the only downside was the wait to get the order in.There were quite a few staff around so seems they were not being utilised in the correct way.

Had a very unpleasant visit here waited over an hour for food garlic bread came and was dry and unpalatable when returned was resent the same one with burnt bits looked like old oil poured on top. Main course never arrived when complained to a staff member (who would not confirm if she was the duty manager) started shouting at me asking me to leave and threatened to call the police! Absolute disgraceful behaviour and very embarrassing for all. We only wanted a nice meal and wasnt rude in anyway just stated the facts to her. This staff member gave an unacceptable level of service and was incapable of doing her job and was extremely unprofessional and actually made the situation much worse .

We were lucky to get a table, as the majority were reserved or taken when we arrived early evening. The staff were very accommodating, and after checking on their system, there had been a cancellation, so they were able to squeeze us in. The staff were all cheerful and made sure that you were treated with respect and felt at home. The food was really tasty and was plentiful. I would definitely return.

If your from out of town, like to be refused drinks and be looked down on like a peasent then this is the place for you! 140 quid for mediocre meals and poor service.. stay clear..

First time visit, beautiful surroundings to have a drink, disappointed with the food, not value for money, green salad is one way of cost cutting, just a pile of lettuce, coleslaw needs to be cut finer. Had hunters chicken, not sure if I'll be eating there again, great for a drink.

Overpriced small portions over rayted dont wasye your money

We visited Lobster Pot back in March and really enjoyed it so decided to come again - we pre-booked our table for 2 plus our dog for 7:30pm, we arrived early and were told our table wasn’t ready which was understandable as we were early. At 7:40pm we still were waiting so went to find out how long our table would be, we were told it still wasn’t ready so they seated us at another table. We ordered starters which took about 40 minutes to come, but they were really tasty. We then had another half hour/40 minutes wait for our main. Chips were missing from one dish which we were told would come out soon, they had also mistakenly put mash potato on another dish instead of chips so told us they would bring another portion of chips. When we were almost finished eating we still hadnt had our chips fetched to our table and no longer wanted them as we were full. It is a shame of this experience as the previous time we came was much better. Our advice would be to just get a burger if you come. We also had to find our own menus when we were seated.

Really enjoy my visits to the Lobster Pot. Both myself and my granddaughter feel at home here. Hard to single anyone out but Kaitlyn was excellent sorting out a minor issue promptly, and also Hollie, who as usual made us both feel so welcome, they are both a credit to the Lobster Pot, and I cannot wait to return soon.

Great pub with beautiful food. Great selection and very well presented. Very friendly staff who can’t do enough for you. Recently moved to Bridlington and already iv been here 6 times with family and friends. Our local pub now. Love it .

Attended this place four years on the Trot and every year been left disappointed and vouched we would never attend again However this year we saw it had been taken over so decided to give it another go! Complete let down once again, half the stuff from the menu unavailable, items shown on the menu online no longer available as they have reduced their menu but not updated the menus in the restaurant, very dull interior, pie and pint night which we were not told about until we saw a poster on the wall, staff who do not know anything you ask them and have to go away and refer to senior staff for answers, we ordered fish and chips for 3 people, the fish inside was nice and decent size but the batter was burnt and they are clearly on rations for potatoes as there were hardly any chips, the child’s chicken tenders were also burnt and the hunters chicken although tasty was extremely small. When the manager asked how our meal was at the end we told him how small the chicken was he commented that he knew he had mentioned it to the chef last night! Clearly this has fallen on deaf ears and they choose to continue serving even though they know there is a problem with the portion size. Def won’t be giving this place another chance. A pub in this location with a brand new housing estate around it should be booming!!!

Came for food here many times and the service is always exceptional. In particular the two girls serving Izzy and Hollie are always amazing, very helpful and polite always ensuring every need is met. The food is also amazing would highly recommend for food we will be back!!

I came here with my family and friends and food was amazing. I had the hunters chicken with the upgrade to buttermilk chicken and it was perfect. Our server Hollie also went above and beyond to deliver what we needed and always had a smile on her face. The atmosphere was lovely and we will definitely be back

Delicious food and reasonably priced. I'd recommend a chicken burger and haloumi fries that were made to perfection. We were served by Hollie and Kaitlin, who were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend Lobster Pot for a great atmosphere, great food, and friendly service. Also, good value.

After a family visit to Lobster Pot, we would definitely visit again. The service we received was beyond expectations and Izzy ensured all our needs were met in a very polite, professional manner. The food was beautifully presented and the quality exceptional. The atmosphere was great and it is a lovely place.

Great food unfortunately served by rude, unhelpful staff not suited to the hospitality industry me thinks. "Senior" server had a very abrupt manner and managed to take both our initial drinks order and main meal order wrong. Similar attitude from another server (I have a very easy going nature btw). Further to order issues, a glass of wine was served in a glass with 2 inch crack in it - response from staff was to wait while other orders taken, and when it was dealt with I suspect they simply poured the wine into a different shaped glass and returned to us. It's a shame as the food was very nice and they pub looks great but I certainly won't be returning and wouldn't recommend it to others.

Food was ok. Service was ok but can be much better. We stayed one night room was ok but air conditioning not working well so the room is warm.

This was a lovely place to visit as a family with a dog. The staff were very friendly, the choice of food was great and reasonably priced. Would visit again when in the area.

Best Sunday roast we've had in years! Can't wait to come back!
