Lovely day out with my niece. Had a Caramel Iced Frappe however there were no sprinkles!! Sprinkles are the best part of this bevarage but I didn’t get any. Absolutely rubbish and highly disappointing.

You have some 5 star staff working here! I couldn't get the app to work and they sorted it for me, went above and beyond what they needed to do. This tired new mum appreciated it more than they'll know.

The best. The staff are helpful and friendly. They dealt with a problem we were having in a kind and empathetic way.

All the staff are always extremely friendly and the drinks are lovely! The atmosphere is nice too and the cafe is always very clean.

Staff are fantastic always polite and service is always quick. It's a nice place to just sit and relax.

When we went in the staff took ages to serve us, like we where invisible. Then I ordered the drinks food n cake. One started making drinks the gingerbread latte with cream, it was half way down glass coffee n cream. Then the one who served us went to do the hot sandwiches. Once drinks where done, I was still whating for the cakes. I mentioned it to the one doing the drinks. She went oh don't worry u will get them. But she had to remind the one doing the hot food about the cakes. She said oh yeah. Poor service and staff just didn't care 😖🫤 29 th October

It's your typical Costa coffee, but for me, it's so loud in there that I can barely hear my friend across the table talking to me. But that just attests to its success in the area, I guess! I enjoyed a soup cup (large) coffee. Handles on both sides of the cup who, for a person who has temperamental problems with their hands, proved to be Costa's biggest success!

Hessle Costa is a very nice place to meet socially. Friendly atmosphere and staff.

Coffee with extra shot great and nice with breakfast bun deal. Free sauce. Great cappuccino and toast. Consistent and improved with recent refurbishment. Our go to place for decent coffee.

Staff seem more interested in reserving food for the Too Good to Go bags. Arriving at 2:30pm we asked for 2 slices of cake. We were refused as these were for the Too Good to Go Bags. For those not familiar with Too Good to Go, it’s an app that allows Buisness to sell cheaply food at the end of the working day. Costa obviously values these bags more than people wishing to purchase coffee and cake. The server at costa was just rude to her colleague when they went to serve us the cake. Clear customer service staff training needed here

the worker with the coloured fringe is the worst worker with the absolute worst customer service, she is a joke! packed away food at 2:30 for toogoodtogo bags which don’t even get picked up until the end of the day - she heard me say what i wanted and packed all 4 away. another worker went to get me one out and she stopped her? i thought you were supposed to help a paying customer not stop them from buying things! i’ve already put in a complaint about her so hopefully none of you have to deal with this joke of a woman- yuck! she lost 3 customers by the way, not the way to go when you’re apparently in charge for the day.

this place is a joke! the worker with a coloured fringe packed up the lemon loafs at 2:30 for the toogoodtogo bag after hearing me ask for one! absolutely disgusting apparently they had to ‘pack them early’ but too good to go is whatever is left at the end of the day, not what a paying customer is asking for hours before the bags even go on sale!!! the other worker went to get it out for me because i asked and the coloured fringe woman said no… lost 3 customers because she is a rignt joke and i will be putting in a complaint for her

This place is far more efficient than the one I usually visit in Lincoln, not only that but the toilets are so much cleaner.

I am a wheelchair user and love how accessible you are and your consistent fantastic service. Your staff always bring my order to a table without me having to ask and no matter how busy they are.

35 minutes til closing and you can't sit down as everywhere mopped up and soaking floor and wasn't allowed to order a cold drink as they where shutting too soon? Absolutely ridiculous needs sorting out, would give 0 if possible.

Is it standard practice for Costa outlets that state a 5pm closing time on the door to turn the oven off at 3.50pm and refuse you hot food? My wife & her father, our newborn child and I thought it would be nice to pop in for a toastie and a coffee on our first little excursion to our local town square but left empty handed.. We had been allowed in and nobody thought it would be courteous to let us know the oven had been turned off before we got seated… It was only when we chose what we wanted that we were abruptly informed “no sorry the oven is off”. After questioning this given is was 3.50pm we were also informed that “we shut at 5”. I’ve never written a complaint before but now is the time because I recognise well enough when someone has been rude. Very disappointed with the common courtesy and manners we experienced here.

The electronic menu screen is a nightmare now, as is the covid screen. Can't see what you want cos the menu keeps changing, had to help an elderly couple. Then cos the covid screen is so big, the order was wrong. Costa pick up your game

Long wait to get served. The toasties we had were awful. I honestly thought they had forgotten to put a filling in as they were so flat. Supposed to be beans and cheese but you couldn't tell . Not a great selection of cakes. Definitely won't be going again.

Went in for two frappes, the girl on the till was disgustingly rude. Shes needs to think about the way she speaks to customers, instead of with an attitude, speak politely to people, its not hard! Then another customer came in and got a frappe. Shes stood making the frappes with her legs crossed, hand on her hip, complaining to another girl that its so annoying how people order different frappe all of the time and why cant they have the same!! Just disgusting customer service if you ask me!

Stroppy manager after I requested a filter coffee. Said they had none on because they closing at 4pm. It was 1.40pm. Its happened a few times here so complained first time and the reply was, it should have been on. Manager asked for area managers name which meant she didn't believe me. I couldn't remember his name tbh. Much better staff working here in 2022. More friendly abd polite.

Friendly, professional staff with consistently good coffee. Staff now remember my order, which is invaluable - I'm mostly incoherent before my first coffee :)

Dirty tables and they don’t seem to clear them of cups / cutlery after people have finished and left. Seems the staff are more interested in talking with their friends and colleagues .

Tried their new sandwich but whilst it was tasty the texture of macaroni cheese on a sandwich was just not a good experience! Pleasant staff. Nice coffee. I did tell the staff my humble opinion in a nice way!

15 mins for 3 coffees 3 members of staff on girl cleaning tables just pushing past people not saying excuse me or anything, two girls behind the the till were going so slow they may as well of stoped Gass obvs gone in the cream as it wasnt whipped! Came her at the begining of the week the girl was on her own had excally the same order she had a queue and was in and out in less then 5 mins

A v wet cold Saturday. Saw a new Costa as local cafe was closed friendly staff..clean. had hot chocolate & toasted Panettone yum

Really rude staff. 14th sept. Walked in 20 mins before closing and they refused to make me a cooler because ‘they were closing in 20 mins and had already cleaned’ they should be catering for all drinks until closing, this was completely unacceptable. They were already wanting to lockup and get out of there asking me which way I was leaving before I had even collected my drink. Really bad rude service.

Good, tasty coffee. Kids enjoyed a Frostino. Drinks expensive when compared to other local independent Tea rooms, but normal for franchise coffee shops. Clean and tidy inside. Had a long wait to get served, could do with more staff.

Unbelievably rude staff..was told to “step back as this customer was first” - despite the fact that said customer was messing about entering and leaving the store asking her friend what she wanted. On a second visit (I know I know, I should have learned first time), was made to wait 15 mins whilst the servant prepared online orders. The very worst Costa I’ve ever been in - badly run by uppity young females. The place needs shutting down.

Awkward silence between the staff clearly no communication and it showed . 15 minutes for 2 coffees and I was at the front of the queue !! Also my milk was burnt

They where to busy serving online customers. Told us we had to wait. So me and and another customer walked out. Plenty of other coffee shops in Hessle

A decent cappuccino for the price the restrictions put in place meant I could sit down with my daughter who had a vanilla latte

Went Costa with 3 children and myself, (within government rule) not been often so thought treat kids not choc my friend came in after us while we in que with her 4 kids member staff abruptly and rudely said are we taking out or staying in we said staying in she ashumed was altogether even tho entered separately aahumed just coz talking each other she said rudely she hasn't space seat is all due to government rule of 6 so even tho lots space n didn't plan sitting together as wasn't together there was enough seats 2 tables taken 1single person and group of 4 we taken order out but way made feel and treated why was group 4 allowed but I went in as family of 4 is it discrimination I was totally disgusted

Came in today ar 2pm friendly staff and the barista Luigi made a great coffee very professional and friendly one of the reasons I can give the store 5 stars.

As a regular user of Costa Coffee shops across the country I was looking forward to a relaxing coffee!! The coffee itself was good but the customer service and overall experience left a lot to be desired, in fact we felt almost unwelcome!! We will stick to our friendly local Costa I think!!

Very clean and excellent service

Staff are really pleasant and helpful. It would be useful to have some chairs with side arms. There were no paninis which are our favorite. But overall enjoyable experience.

A few of us meet up every week to have a Costa. Staff are always polite and helpful and my daughter and niece love the Ruby hot chocolate. We really look forward to it, it's our chill.out time of the week. 😊

Went here today was waiting around 15 mins to be served, two staff members on during a busy period, I had to clean up someone else's mess so I could sit at the table, the toilets were locked and 4 people was queuing for the disabled toilet. I was looking forward to a nice hot chocolate and it had clumps of choc powder inside almost like it was made with asdas own brand add water.

Warm, friendly, welcoming. The staff are the best you could get nothing is too much trouble for them, and they make the best drinks of any Costa I have been to and I have travelled all over the world!!!
