Excellent service; first class person and machine; prompt, efficient and skill full. No supervision necessary and took extra care to consult when finished.

Popped in for breakfast on the way home from a weekend getaway. 2 cooked breakfasts for the adults and a child’s picnic box were all delicious. The breakfast was quick, very hot, well presented and really delicious. Granddaughter’s ham sandwich went down a treat. Will definitely return. Thank you.

Asked for a table for two, staff pulled a small table 10 inches away from a larger one for six, placing it effectively floating in the middle of the aisle. This is what we were offered. Not the vacant table in the window immediately in front of us ??!! I didnt stick around to find out what a social dining experience would feel like. It wasnt even full, if it had been i wouldnt have even gone in. This is the second time this has happened and its the last. OK I only wanted a couple of hot drinks and sandwiches but still. Let customers choose where they want to sit themselves, all the other garden centre cafes manage to. ??!!

Kept waiting for a table, not for the first time, no one else in the queue, plenty of tables. Nice waitress sat us at a table gave us menus then 2/3mins later came back to collect them from us, saying the kitchen was closed, only cakes and coffee available now, it was 3.04pm. Cafe doesn't close till 4.30pm!!

Lovely garden centre but the restaurant is an awful experience. Had to wait 10 minutes for anyone to acknowledge that we were standing there, staff just walking away even though plenty of seating available. Ordered a Thai Crab Fish Cake and what was supposed to be a Traditional Sunday Lunch which was a selection of Beef, Pork or Turkey. I ordered the turkey along with mash and veg. Lunch arrived and to my horror what arrived was a nice looking Thai Crab Fish Cake and not a Traditional Sunday Lunch. The veg looked brilliant but the Turkey was from a packet of turkey wafer thin slices (2) not off a bird. £8.95 for what can only be describe as shiny plastic meat! Do not order from their menu the Traditional Sunday Lunch as it is not traditional but wafer thin meats from low budget freezer centres! What a disappointing ending to our day!

we always try to eat here if possible as the owners wife has the same food intolerances as my wife, [ gluten, egg and dairy ]. this gives us great confidence that when they say something is gluten, egg and dairy free, then it is. it is one of the few places we have found that actually do a desert that my wife can eat [ cheesecake to die for ] food menu is quite extensive. always tasty and with a choice of potatoes and vegetables. lovely food and friendly staff

I was having one of my better days so felt we could go out, which I hadn't done since November. Our dog does not get a lot of outings and loves to go with us so she also came along. We realised the dog could not go to the inside eating area so I sat on the outside decking with table and chairs and the dog sat under the table. My husband went to order the food and when he said we were outside a man came out with my husband and said we were sat in the wrong place with a dog. He said we had to sit in a shaded area, given it was February would have been cooler than where I was sat in some sun, on thick gravel, which my scooter would not move on and at picnic tables, so I pointed out I could not get my leg over the benches to face the table. We were the only people outside. He said where we were, in summer if there was a lot of dogs it was difficult for people to get past the tables. It was not summer, we were the only people there. I asked if we could stay there as I could not use the other area because of disabled access. The answer was no. I asked where the outside disabled area was then, but a shake of the head and told we would have to go to the other area with no disabled access. My husband said we would go somewhere else to eat and he was quite happy for us to do this. I felt like a third class citizen and our custom was not welcome. I just hope one day this gentleman suffers the same chronic illnesses I have and gets treat the same way he did with me and he will know how hurtful and upsetting it is. I don't want to be disabled. We have travelled all over Europe in our camper with my scooter and dog and been welcomed at places and looked after, not refused service. We have also travelled many part of the UK and had a warm welcome at pubs, restaurants, museums and shops and the dog has not once been a nuisance to anybody. This man said it was the law but that is rubbish, it is just their own rules which are very outdated. We left without looking at the goods for sale which we had intended to do after we had eaten. I am disgusted with this place and most certainly will not be recommending it to anybody only warning - don't bother going there.

My elderly mother visits here at least monthly with some of her friends and that’s the demographic it seems to cater for. The vegetarian food is limited. I mistakenly forgot to ask for my Mums steak pie without gravy and it arrived with the whole plate drenched in it, including in the chips. We acknowledged it was my mistake but we were told a replacement would be full price. At the end of the meal we asked for the original we had also paid for to be packed to takeaway but we’re told they had disposed of it so we’re given a refund. We were told the owner had made the decision to charge full price for a replacement meal. but left the staff to tell us. Owner… your staff are a credit to you, particularly the man on the counter and the lady serving us. I was there to please my mother but she won’t be returning and neither will her friends, I’m told their bill is usually around £90 when they visit. A reduced price would have been acceptable or the duplicate meal we paid for packed up to take away not thrown out. A bit of goodwill goes a long way. This place has lost ours sadly.

Disappointed by the cafe. Garden centre plants selection was very modest but there are lovely antique shops, a pet shop and a comic book shop. We were staying in a lodge next door so decided to take our well behaved pooch for a wander round and have lunch. We were informed that we had to sit on picnic benches (which are not suitable for anyone with mobility issues). The dog was expected to lay on large grade gravel. I don't have a problem sitting outside but at least make it comfortable...There was no shelter at all. The prices were on the high side for a garden centre cafe but the quality didn't match. We've lunched at a lot of garden centres with our dog but this wasn't a nice experience. It was almost like we were an inconvenience, with the lady greeting us with a sharp "you'll have to sit outside, and you can't sit on the patio". We paid the same as everyone else for our lunch but certainly wasn't treated the same.
