Visited 7th November. We were served by Lexy and Mary. Can I just say it was such a nice visit. They both had a big smile and were pleasant, positive and very well organised. The service and food were absolutely perfect thank you.

Booked for 8 + 3 children for a 70th Birthday Celebration. Family all arrived on time and enquired about the the table where we'd all be seated. We had to wait 15 minutes after the agreed time of 2.00pm for the table to be set up because no one had attended to the table booking prior to our arrival. We all sat down and read through the menu (as you would) only to be told that the only available food was the Sunday Roast menu!! Then to add insult to injury, everything was 'off' but the turkey. Eleven turkey dinners it was then! Approximately thirty minutes later the food began to arrive at the table - luke warm and in diminutive portions. The adult portion was the same size as the kids but cost twice as much! Pudding time! We enquired about a sweet................and with a sigh and a roll of the eyes the young man said, 'I suppose so.........but we aint got much'. That was the last straw. We all left shortly afterwards. Crap selection, poor service, slovenly unfriendly staff (you know who you are Lexi), and just generally scruffy. I'd be surprised if this restaurant was still in business in 12 months time.

Have been coming here for breakfast for over a year now. In my opinion you can not go wrong with this value for money. The staff are always on hand to try and accommodate any of your requests from any allergies to fresh porridge. From the front of house/managers to the waiting staff you always get a smile. The staff do like to talk to the customers and make you feel welcome. It is advised to book before hand especially during holidays but they do take walk ins where available. Always felt welcomed. Thank you Lexi, Emily, Sophie and Charlie and all the other great staff.

I am shocked to read all good reviews, We had the roast dinners Went large ( like veg) and had extra pigs in blankets, Meals came out and we were both surprised at how little was on the plates It looked nothing like advertised at all Had a stuffing ball, 4 slices of carrot and a table spoon on of peas, 5 small roasted potatoes 2 massive Yorkshire pudding and 2 slices of thin gamon When the server came over to us to ask if all was ok I mentioned how small the large was and she actually said “ the chef is stingy” and walked away, We eat up and went to pay Asked if all was ok so I said no and told her , Bless got a standed I’ll have a word with the chef ???? I said it was a bit late now we were leaving, To which she said had she had known earlier it could have been looked at and she didn’t know. So I stopped her there and said she did know as the server had left our table and gone to her and had clearly pointed us out to her so she ( Mary h ) did in fact know, She apologised and refunded the drinks, I have a mail detect but got no response,

Had to find a staff member to show us to our table. Seating upholstery stained. Floor had crumbs and debris on it around our table and surrounding tables. Salt and pepper pots sticky and unclean. Portions small, peas were dry and tasteless, tartar sauce was served in a chipped dish. No one checked meal quality until we had finished eating. Staff rushed off their feet. Waited 30 minutes for desert.

Booked a table for 7.30am. net by a very friendly lady who showed us to our table, explained how it works there and left us to decide. We went for the unlimited cooked breakfast - MISTAKE!!!! Everything was cold and the egg was snotty. No point speaking to anyone as they were all too busy chatting with each other to bother with customers. Everything was really cold, not warm, cold. The good points were the cranberry juice and the mandarin juice were both beautiful other than that a big thumbs down, Not even asked if everything was ok.

Food was cold, steak was tough and full of gristle, curry was minute and sauce congealed & barely warm. Paid extra for slice of leathered chicken to go with curry and they reduced the amount of curry so a very tiny meal. 5 pieces of veg in the veg curry. Choices of mains very limited. No chicken, no fish, no gammon no Sunday roast etc Ruined our Father’s Day meal table of 7 people. No Nan bread with curry but charged regular price on standard menu. Staff members very unfriendly and tend to gather tog chatting. Table was a nice view but sticky. Menus and serviettes stuck to the table! Teaspoon of peas! Dad was ill after his meal! And worst of all the staff do not respond to feedback! Also a dodgy character in men’s toilets approached my 90yr old dad. And …. Said something!! Not nice! Do not let your little ones go in alone!! What sort of establishment lets people like this into a family restaurant? Dad told me later otherwise I would have complained but I feel any complaints do not get dealt with so all said in vain! I really do feel the staff inc kitchen need to retrain and learn about customer care. We’ve stood waiting ages to get a table and get no welcome sadly! Yes I am annoyed!! But if the staff commented and tried to make things better, as we’ve complained before, I wouldn’t feel so angry. It’s like they just don’t care. We have in the past had a fair meal. But Boxing Day was a big let down, as was a recent meal and now a family Father’s Day meal! Just serve up hot decent meals with a smile and a hello, and give us value for money etc. We’ve been loyal but our loyalty has not been suitably rewarded! The young girl who actually served us was very pleasant. She was prob the most Juniour!!? But could teach those in charge or more Senior a lesson or 2 on customer care. So our issues are not with her. It’s not much to ask for and what should have been a nice evening was ruined once again.

Had a lovely lunch at The Freeman. The menu has so many dishes to choose from. We opted for the Value Meal as we wanted something light and were pleasantly surprised with the generous portions and quality of food for the price. There is also a good selection of beverages on offer. The staff are friendly and accommodating.

Have to say this place was somewhere we used to visit quite often and always found it was good food and good service but during November and December we visited several times both as a small group and a bigger family group on all four of these occasions the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy and the food wasn’t brilliant but the service was absolutely awful from start to finish, delays on taking orders and bigger delays on food arriving with no explanation or apology for the wait I think this place needs a serious overhaul and rethink in its staff and the training given, unfortunately we won’t be revisiting until these problems are sorted there are other places to spend our well earned money.

We visited when staying at the Premier Inn. There was an offer on for Premier Inn customers, for dinner and breakfast, so we took advantage of it. The first evening we waited around 20 minutes for someone to take our order, and in the end we had to flag down a passing member of staff, who sent someone straight away. It was a Sunday, and very busy, and I got the impression they were short staffed. The second night the service was much better. The food was good. We all had prawn cocktail, which had plenty of prawns. Breakfast is a buffet style and basically you can have what you want. There is a 'continental' section and a cooked breakfast section. We were more than happy with the breakfast. There is a loyalty scheme, which we found out about from two locals, who go there frequently. A lot of the tables have a sea view.

We went for lunch today, I booked online only 40 mins before hand and had no trouble at all. On arriving we parked in the free for upto 3 hours car park and verified our registration number on a tablet inside, were asked to wait in the bar area until the exact booking time but were told we were welcome to order drinks whilst waiting and given a allergy sheet for non gluten for my husband. It was a few minutes before we were seated and were told our server would be with us soon, they were quite busy so it was about 10-15 minutes before our order was taken. The server was very pleasant and helpful with our order even took items that I didn't want and put them on a separate plate for my husband to have. The drinks we had were non alcoholic as my husband was driving, he had the sirloin steak medium and said it was melt in the mouth and very well seasoned. I had the smothered platter and enjoyed everything on my plate. The meals were, not only delicious but also really filling. I would definitely go back again and would also recommend trying ot for yourself.

Once again another restaurant in this area that needs to update its staff or close down. Our fault for thinking a chain would know what it was doing. Another one to avoid.

Whilst staying at The Premier Inn in Bridlington, we used this establishment for breakfasts. There was the usual range of buffet breakfast, along with a good selection of continental breakfast items as well. The food was well cooked and presented and, with a member of our party having complex intolerances, nothing was too much trouble, even down to checking the ingredients on the packaging! We also ate here one evening. The food was freshly prepared and, although there was in item that was unavailable (jacket potato), a substitute plate was concocted, which was well recieved. The fish was cooked to perfection, with the option of having it either thickly battered or thinly, the gammon was well cooked and tender, as was the chicken & ribs that were also ordered. The prices were very reasonable also. Special mention must be made of our server, Charlie. Nothing was too much trouble, with many journeys to the kitchen top make sure everything was OK, and the end result was a meal that was enjoyed by all four of us. We would be quite happy to eat here next time we're in Bridlington (and we will be back!!)

What a disgrace! Staying at the premier inn, We arrived at the restaurant at 7pm and were asked if we had booked. No we had not, not knowing we had to, so we were asked if we would like to book for 8 or 8.30pm. My wife book for 8pm,despite at least 4 tables in the "dinning" area and well over 10 tables in the "drinking area" been free. So we returned at 7.55pm and said we had a table booked for 8pm and we got told to return at 8.05pm, and we would be "taken straight through" despite the booking been for 8pm! At 8pm we were called and we were seated on one of the tables that had been empty since 7pm! The food was ordered and did arrive promptly, despite all indications of a delay, As we were eating one person on the table next to us, simply got up after their meal and walked out without paying, as the staff simply were not bothered or paying attention to what was happening. Indeed I could have done the same, as after our meal, My wife went to the toilet, and I stood near a till point to pay, and staff members walked past me 2 times until one asked if i was waiting to pay! I could have walked out on a near £23 bill without it been noticed. The service, attitude of staff and overall experience was a disgrace! Very very disappointed in the whole experience, and will not be retuning to yourselves, when we stay at the hotel again. I

I went with my family to the cookhouse and pub restaurant and we came before 6pm so looked at the cheaper menu. In the end we decided although the cheaper menu was okay we fancied more of the main menu. It was quick to receive hot food and the management was really nice to talk with when seated at our table. We look forward to visiting this pub and restaurant again for excellent service also food and drink.

Nipped in for a beer whilst out shopping in Beverly. It's a little difficult to find as it's on the next street back from the market. It's a bit like Dr Who's Tardis, looks small from the outside, but it's not, its massive inside. Lots of the usual spoons drinks on offer, plus lots of real ales on the bear festival menu. Toilets were of course, upstairs!

Stopped here forca quick drink while out in the town. Love a mocha from here and husband loves the Americano with milk. Nice shop, usually very clean but was very busy so tables were not being cleared as quick as usual. We ended up clearing our own! Staff friendly and polite and drinks good value for money.

first few times the super steps breakfast was really good. Friendly staff good prices. Within the last few days went again but although the breakfast was the same size the addition of a 6" piece of human hair on the plate was off putting to say the least. Not going again
