Love it here - always great ales, lovely service, no TV's or background football noise, just nice folks having having a chat with their pals, also usually at least a couple of dogs to say hello to, decent bar snacks and no/low alcohol options too

A regular watering hole for me and my mate. The welcome and service are always great, as is the food. Would highly, recommend a visit here, to anyone.

I love this cafe. Staff are always friendly & assertive,good quality produce & freshly cooked, beautiful sausage and very welcoming They go above and beyond with helping when there’s an allergy

Wow, what a pub this is beautiful hidden gem. Service was spot on and quick everything you want in a pub is here , definitely better than the bell.

Popped in for a quick drink after a local walk. Guinness was good. However a quiet drink was ruined by the loud mouthed swearing barmaid

I recently came with my friend and overall the food was really good. The sandwiches and the variety of options you can get are amazing. Especially the cakes! However I asked an employee I think her name was “summer” for a milkshake and she quote on quote said “who do you think you’re speaking to like that” even though my tone and works were polite and just my normal voice. I did get a bit aggressive back however I felt it was justified due to the horrible service I just got. At the end of the discussion she said she was going to put salt in my milkshake and told me to sit down in an aggressive manor. Overall though, the food is great and the other staff members seem nice

Typical country pub dog friendly

Went in for Sunday lunch as a family with my baby and in-front of our table at the bar were 3 men vaping. I approached the staff and asked whether that was allowed as obviously I have a baby with me and she told me that it was allowed. We then stated that we were leaving, as I obviously do not want anyone vaping around my child, when the men at the bar then said that they would stop. For the rest of our visit we then received dirty looks from the rest of the staff. It wasn’t a very nice experience and I wouldn’t recommend this pub for families and young children if this is what they allow. The food was okay but the whole visit was spoilt by this.

I travel to the pudding shop and buy at least 9 puddings. I love them so much I give them to my friends and family. Each one is its own masterpiece, and the flavours are out of this world. Wonderful hosts, Justine and Colin. I think I will end up 15/20 stone..lol

What great place for an adult night out. Went with a party of 9 so managed to book in advance. Loads of choice from beers to cocktails and 3 pages of gins! Service felt personal and the host kept seperate tabs without us knowing which made the end of night less awkward. So nice to have a Saturday night out and be able to talk and hear all the conversation over a large group. Its not a "quite" place but a lovely sense of chill amongst all the guests given its smaller size. I sat and had Kraken and coke all night, a nice touch, was given the can of coke so used over 3 drinks so didn't feel ripped off. It's like sitting in your own lounge with your mates but your own personal waiter. Will be going again for sure!!

Pop in from time to time, Great breakfasts, friendly staff and fresh top quality ingredients. Always a treat. Well worth a visit
