This is the 2nd time we have had breakfast here. Both times the food was excellent and great value for money. The staff were very pleasant and the cafe was spotlessly clean. We will be visiting again soon 👍👍

Saddened to have to write this, but left today with a bit of a sour taste in my mouth. We have been coming to this cafe for a long time, around 6 years. The food is good and to my mind slightly better than 2 mugs down the road. We have always had pleasant experiences with the staff here but today was an exception. Our 4 year old broke one of the salt dispensers, it really clearly didn’t go down well, we weren't told not to worry and definitely picked up on a bad vibe from the owner. Upon paying i apologised, explained my 4 year old (who is a great boy, barely puts a foot wrong) was suitably told off, and tipped what was definitely more than the value of the salt dispenser, all i got back was “ok”. While i can understand being busy can lead to stress, its not an excuse for rudeness. Sadly i will not be returning. Dan (a previous regular and loyal customer)

Fantastic tasty breakfast, coffee, and toast, very clean, attentive friendly staff.

Breakfast take out ordered. Baguettes were full and tasty. Quick service despite being busy. Great little cafe with parking outside. Would recommend and return.

Excellent full English great coffee friendly service

The owner should take a different career! Unfriendly, arrogant, unapologetic. He is a business owner at a cafe I've never seen him smile or greet a customer. Best advice, go a few shops to the right of Frankies and get your food and drinks there. This guy doesn't deserve to operate a business of this type!

By far my favourite cafe in the Midlands... food is excellent and healthy, service brilliant and it is a really warm and friendly place. I took my kids there over the holidays ... they loved it so much we had to go back - the cakes are home made. My two favourites - the cheesecake which was deliciously creamy and some home made fudge which was Biscoff flavoured genuinely the best fudge I've ever tasted, lovely subtle and complex flavours.

food wasn’t that bad tbh i like the sausages as lashfords farm are the better sausages in my area but the staff who worked there were rude i think it was the manger who was rude he sounded american that was the guy who was rude he just didn’t make eye contact with us and told us to sit back down after we offered to pay before hand and when went we went to order our food we were waiting for 5 monsters at the counter then got told to sit down even though we got told today down and someone will come to us before but no one did. I went to the toilet in the back and there was mold in the toilet and in the back we’re the drinks are and where they store some food there was a sink with so much mold like it hasn’t been cleaned since the day they got the place and also inside the dishwasher there is mold will be calling to get there restaurant inspected because it shouldn’t be open

What a fantastic spot for lunch and breakfast. Still serving breakfast at 1330 and it was amazing. Really good standard english breakfast in a friendly warm and clean place with plenty of staff and table service. A proper cafe. Also had some amazing cakes and coffee. The rest of the family had bagels and paninis. Awesome place and would highly recommend. Not expensive either.

My boyfriend and I have recently moved to the area and decided to visit this morning. We sat down and nobody came over to us to greet us or hand us any menus. We presumed we had to go to the till to place our order. My boyfriend was served by the owner who explained “thats not how we do things round here” and said we had to wait to be served at our table and then pay afterwards. We are unsure how paying later is any different to just paying there and then but sat down and waited. Shortly after, the owner put the menus down on the table making no eye contact whatsoever and did not say a word. This was my first encounter with him and to not be acknowledged whatsoever made me so uncomfortable considering this is an independent cafe where you’d expect that basics of customer service. The waitresses were great despite the owner’s poor attitude. When my boyfriend went to pay, he said that the owner again barely made any eye contact and seemed irritated. Considering there is lots of competition locally, we are surprised by this service. WILL NOT BE RETURNING!

Visited Frankie's cafe yesterday with a colleague as we were working close by.. Great welcome from the owners, friendly staff. Food was very good and prompt to the table… Tempted by the Easter egg cheese cake decided to behave.. Nice little place..

I recently came to this cafe after great reviews from my son and his partner. Myself and my son had a lovely breakfast which tasted amazing very good value for money. all staff were very happy and so helpful will definitely revisit again soon

Food was good, service could have been quicker

Chronically bad customer service. Waiting to be served while the counter staff fiddled with the till for an age. Would have been nice to have been noticed. As my custom was not important to them I left. Disappointed as the breakfasts are reputed to be great.

Always amazing food, but order a delivery as the staff seem to prioritise these over bums on seats. Took forty minutes for the food to come to our table.

Highly Recommended for a delicious Breakfast. We both had the full English which was beautifully cooked and presented wit( great quality ingredients. Coffees were very good too. Service was incredibly friendly and place very clean. Easy to park. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Order was wrong went back and the owner was funny with us he was comparing his cafe to other cafe's in the area which walk all over him including Becketts Farm told me he's sausages were special which they're clearly not

Very clean, quality ingredients, nice coffee, worth paying a tad more. Owner was pleasant but not over friendly, focused I would say. Will definitely be back.

I had a nice breakfast here. The serve fully English breakfast and other healthy breakfast too. Lots of locals. It 10 minutes walk from the electric canal bridge. Although walking to it fro the road it's a bit tricky as there is limited pavement. Watch for the fast cars of the road but that breakfast it's worth the walk👍🏾

Nice Cafe. Clean and modern. Had the large breakfast and it was lovely. Nice pot of English breakfast tea. Experience spoilt by being charged £8.20 for a £6.95 breakfast. I was too British too comment and just assumed the tea was not included. Looking at the menu it clearly states the tea is included so this has left me a bit negative about the experience

Welcomed by an abrupt male "25 minute wait!!". To which I replied no problem at all I'm more than happy to wait. Continue to make my order with the polite young girl, he then rudely interrupted again "25minute wait". Yes I heard you first time! Asked for a time to come back to collect which was approximately 20/25mins later. Arrived on time and continued to wait a further 10mins, no major problem can appreciate its a busy period. For the next 10 minute period I witnessed this same male be abrupt and unwelcoming to every customer through the door., barking out lead times rather than instructing customers politely. Unfortunately his staff don't seem to get any special treatment neither, short, abrupt, rude and borderline tyrannical to the young waitresses. Perhaps if you want the complete article and experienced staff maybe pay more than the £3 an hour you most likely pay the school kids. Think you should be grateful your busy, many businesses are struggling! Keep up your dire customer relations you'll soon get your waiting times down permanently :) . Food was good though thankyou, at least there's some positives.

Waited nearly 25 minutes for a sandwich, ended up having to cancel because it took so long and had a train to catch. Women behind the counter was extremely rude. Used to like it here, won't be back after this experience.

Ordered the bacon, tomato and mushroom panini (would recommend) and sausage and egg sandwich for my daughter really good. I have used this cafe for a number of years and they all work hard and treat everyone with respect.

Great breakfast place I had excellent service and the food was great. I used the pickup service from their website and food was just being prepared fresh as I arrived.

I’ve been here many times with my family and found it to have a lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, and reasonably priced food. I was in for cakes to take away the other day and was delighted to find out they are all home made by the owners. Delicious cake, will be back for more.

I have visited Frankies Cafe almost daily for over a year now and I can honestly say the food is first class! I'm a HUGE fan of the Lashford sausages and the crusty roles from Wedges bakery! I like the fact that they go the extra mile to buy from local suppliers and as a result they deliver premium quality food. For me the best part is its all cooked right in front of your eyes. The place is clean, the staff and friendly and the food is fabulous! Highly recommended!

The owner was rude and argumentative when I had to go back because they messed up the order and I mentioned while I was there that a couple of sandwiches priced at £8.20 was a bit high regardless of what brand the sausages were, the sandwich did taste okay after all the hastle of going back but sausages weren't anything special, not any better than other cafes I go to where the same order would cost around £6.60.

Great cafe with very friendly staff. I've been twice now for brunch and have enjoyed it quite a lot. They're very accomodating to different preferences if you'd like to mix/match meals. They do have some vegetarian options such as a vegetarian English breakfast and omlettes, however I don't think they do plant-based milk for their coffee yet (at least not oat milk).

My favourite café! Local to me, Denise, Grant and the staff enjoy the banter, and visits are always a joy! Food is fab! From cooked breakfasts, sandwiches, salads, baked potatoes, cakes to unending coffee & tea, the place is a gem! You are always welcomed and food never disappoints. Rushing through, or sitting in, its the perfect place!

Been to frankies many times For breakfast and brunch and always great in every way. We opted for lunch this time and wasnt disappointed. Kids had the usual but I had the chicken Balti jacket potato. Presentation was nice and the balti was home cooked and probably one of best I’ve hadGreat cafe in Shirley and can really recommend it

Brilliant little cafe. Parking outside. Tables with dog bowls outside & clean well spaced tables inside. Breakfasts were cooked fresh to order, hot & very tasty with Lashfords sausage & bacon. Very popular but free tables still available. Take away food also available. Great prices. Only lost one star as wasn't keen on the herbs used they cook mushrooms in which apparently isn't available without as batch cooked. Extra large or normal English breakfasts available. Definately be returning.

Staff were pretty rude, well one lady was. I was asked to give my details for track and trace, and being uncomfortable doing so, I said I didn't want to, which is absolutely my right... I do not wish to give out my private details just to eat a breakfast. Upon leaving I get a lady yell at me "it's law!" to which I replied "it's not law, it's legislation, its a guideline, there's a difference" to which she replied, quite rudely I might add, "well it's our legislation" as if to tell me it's their rule and like it or lump it... Very professional, great customer service, NOT.. I'm a customer service manager and you'd get the sack if you worked for me and spoke to a customer like that. Will never return to this cafe.

I just had lunch which was a new pasta line they do. Chinese chicken. Soy sauce .wow. cant wait to go back. Lovely.

Myself and my daughter called whilst my dog was being seen by a cardiologist and we had a spare hour.Looked at the reviews which were very good.We had 2 full English with drinks and wow we certainly weren't disappointed.Proper bacon and sausages,friendly staff.All in all great service.Will definitely revisit the next time we are in the area.

My wife and I have had breakfast here pretty well every weekend for the past 18 months, and the food is both excellent and great value-for-money. May sometimes have to wait a while for it to be served, but you know it's always going to be freshly cooked to order. We're extremely pleased they are offering a take-out service during the CV-19 lockdown. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I have had a breakfast sandwich from Frankies pretty much every Friday for the last 2 years. I have not found a better sandwich locally yet and have tried everywhere else locally. The service is awesome and the food is great value. Wholeheartedly recommend Frankie's to anyone looking for great food.

The loveliest local café with the loveliest owners. Has created a real community feel in the area between the regulars. Delicious breakfasts, my favourites include the creamy mushrooms on toastand the bacon cheese and tomato croissant. It’s one of my family’s favourite places

I dropped into Frankie's cafe on my way to the station and to my delight was greeted by extremely friendly staff. My breakfast was cooked to perfection and a lovely coffee alongside it. Great value too. This will be my go to place for great food,great staff and a lovely atmosphere. Well done Frankies

Had a lovely day went for a run this morning so after popped into Frankie's cafe. Been served by some ladies who worked there happy to help us. Nice and clean food or breakfast whatever you fancy I would recommend it. I have give this cafe a 5 star because it deserves it and I sure you people that go there would recommend it as well. Came for my moms birthday breakfast and as we love going out for breakfast we like to look around local independents! I had the eggs Benedict with salmon and spinach and it was sooooo good!The hollandaise was so light and tasteful!Will definitely be returning! Thank you for a lovely brunch ❤️

First time visit on Sunday with my sister and brother. Two of us had a full and one the small breakfast. It was brilliant and so were the staff. So glad we found this place. Me and the siblings intend to make this a monthly event at Frankies.
