Friendly coffee shop with play kitchen for small children. Great place for a coffee and a chat.

Had beans on toast for breakfast but disappointed as last time they gave a generous amount of baked beans but this time hardly a scoop. But apart from that the gentleman who served us was very helpful, pleasant and friendly. Atmosphere is really good and vibrant. Nice place for kids to go and play in the pretend kitchen and they also have colouring pens and books too.

Lovely little coffee shop tucked away

We have visited this shopping centre in Shirley many times, but did not realise that this café was here. It has a pleasant interior and outside seating on a terraced area. We enjoyed two flat white coffees which were good quality and very reasonably priced at £2.50 each. The staff were efficient and friendly. We will definitely visit again.

Lovely friendly cafe, great staff. Only problem a friend pointed out, acoustics give high noise levels, difficult to hold conversations unless, we did as everyone did - spoke louder.

Delicious cakes, tea and coffee. Also very tasty cold or toasted, freshly made to order, large array of sandwiches, jacket potatoes with a nice side salad. Yummy soups, hot croissants, panini’s etc. Such a lovely atmosphere. Very clean and staff are fab. They do some fab offers and events. (You can also arrange your own event here). Would definitely recommend. Such a lovely place!

A lovely coffee shop in Shirley tucked away at the back of Park Gate. A very clean, friendly cafe and I love the fact the food is very fresh. Highly recommend.

I really enjoyed Kairos Coffee this morning. The outdoor seating is ideal. I had a delicious sandwich and iced coffee. Then later ent on to have scone, clotted cream and jam with an Americano. All was delicious! Great service too. I’ve added some extra photos I’ve took at different visits too!

Wonderful to be able to come here once more. Lovely people, delicious (and ethically sound) coffee, and a wide range of very tasty, light food choices. Importantly at the present time, they also observe impeccable covid precautions. We always look forward to our weekly visit and cannot recommend Kairos highly enough (or their bacon butties, red pepper and hummus, tuna mayo etc. etc. offerings, accompanied by a couple of large espressos and a capuccino). Very good value too!

Great little coffee shop - out of the hustle & bustle of the other coffee houses..& hottest chocolate ive ever had and food lovely.

This is a lovely place to enjoyed a coffee and meet up with friends coffee is good value £2 for a regular Latte with a complementary biscuit the staff are lovely with a very pleasant ambiance excellent range of snacks cakes and pastries flat screen TV area for the children. A must visit.

Very friendly team at Kairos coffee, lovely coffee, cakes and selection of food all well priced. You are always made to feel welcome, and provided good customer service. They have lots of different different events taking place, keep an eye on the boards around the store. Look forwards to coming back soon :)

Tidy. Big menu on the board. Friendly people inside. It's good to spend time over there. It's next to church and on the table, there were also leaflets about some programs happening in the church.

I helped out at the Youth Café today and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. It was a great opportunity to chat to people from the community and test out all of the syrups! #hopethereissomeleft

I went here with my wife on a Thursday. We were very pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is very welcoming and there is a great vibe to the place. We had soup and sandwich. Which was freshly made to order. Also, a jacket potato with tuna mayo and cheese. This came with a nice side salad on the plate. We were both really pleased with the food. As we were enjoying ourselves so much we decided to stay and chill out!We ordered a pumpkin spice latte which was delicious! (Cream and spice on top). The wife had an Earl Grey tea which came in a nice teapot. We shared a piece of carrot cake which was very good! There were some lovely cakes to choose from. We didn’t even realise this place was in Shirley until we accidentally came upon it. Don’t know how we missed it!(It is just past Shirley Gym by the library. Walk past both and it’s set back a bit on the right). PS.... staff were fab too!Would definitely recommend.

When I first went into Kairos Coffee, I made my order and was thankful that the staff was friendly and helpful. I was indecisive that day! I sat down with a flat white coffee (which was soooo nice) and waited for the cheese salad I ordered. I noticed how lovely and relaxing the place was. Also, how clean it was. My salad was not long coming. The salad looked delicious and it didn’t disappoint. Was very fresh and tasty. I was then tempted by all the lovely cakes they had on offer and ordered a Bakewell slice with another flat white. It certainly hit the spot! I would definitely recommend Kairos Coffee. I actually didn’t know it was there and I have been to Shirley many times! (It is behind Shirley Baptist Church. By the end entrance of ASDA parkgate. A couple of doors down from Shirley Library, next to PureGym set back on the left). Thank me later! 😉

I am a regular at Kairos with my toddler, we both absolutely love it there. Great atmosphere, spotlessly clean and lovely food! They also have some books and toys to keep my toddler amused, which is always a bonus. The sandwiches are made fresh to order and the staff are all so friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend!!

BBQ chicken and cheese melt fabulous. Lemon meringue pie good too. Friendly efficient service. Good prices.

Arranged to meet some friends at this community coffee shop where everything is freshly made and the coffee was excellent. It’s off the High Street but conveniently you can use the superstore car park. The only downsides are the limited opening hours and the length of time it takes to make each coffee. Worth the wait but be aware of this

Cosy and clean cafe, good for catch up over a cuppa and cake (gluten free option available). Good access for clients with buggies or wheelchair. They have few high chairs for toddlers as well as box with toys to keep young guests entertained.

Honest little café. Good value. Very clean.

My husband and I went for coffee this morning to Kairos. When we arrived the cafe was deserted apart from two ladies and we were told that the coffee machine was not working so they could only serve filter coffee or tea, we opted for the filter coffee which was duly served to us. However some 15 minutes after our arrival crowds of mothers and toddlers began to arrive and the place was bedlam! We spoke to one of the staff and she told us it was a special craft morning for the children. I maintain that we should have been warned that this was going to take place when we first arrived and we wouldn't have stayed (there are plenty of other coffee shops in Shirley). We couldnt stand the noise and just had to leave. Why on earth didn't they close the cafe to the general public while the craft morning was taking place? It was unfair to other elderly people who just want a bit of peace and quiet to drink their coffee and read the paper. We won't be going there again! No real apology either, we were just told it had been advertised!

Went here for tea and cake before shopping. The cafe is located adjacent to the Baptist church. Board games and colouring activities available. I ordered the brownie which was rich and delicious. The texture was dense and squidy, the way a perfect brownie should be. Tea was good and quality tea bags used. Their supplier is clippers tea. All coffee and tea is ethically sourced and fair trade. Great little cafe with community vibes.

Quiet and secluded - away from the busy sameness of the high street coffee shops. Very friendly staff, and good cake!

I often meet up with friends here for coffee or something light for lunch. The staff are all friendly and efficient and the food simple but delicious. The range of cakes is great for those feeling naughty and it's always popular which (to me) shows how good it is, especially in this area which is awash with cafés and restaurants.

This is the cafe which forms part of the Shirley Baptist Church and all profits go to the Church. The cafe offers drinks , cakes and snacks - all freshly made to order and is staffed by volunteers. I have always received a warm and friendly welcome and the cakes are lovely with a generous pot of tea at reasonable prices. I believe in supporting this cafe as the volunteers and members of the Church do so much to help others in the community - so supporting this cafe also supports the community. I highly recommend it . I popped in past for a take away tea but was delighted by the quaint tea room. The selection of tea and coffee available was great. There appeared to be a generous amount of seating and the decor was very welcoming. Tea tasted wonderful too. Definitely worth a visit.

Warm welcome, great coffee and good selection of food. If quality coffee is important to you then this is the place to go in Shirley, and if you fancy something to eat I recomend a Brie and Bacon baguette. This place is suitable for families, small children welcome.

Have been coming here since it opened with my partner and love it. Staff are so friendly, coffee always consistent. Its getting quite busy now and I'm glad because it deserves to be doing well.

I have become a regular user of the Kairos coffee shop since it opened a couple of years ago in the Parkgate shopping centre. Theymake a lovely cup of coffee and some tempting cakes and pastries a very friendly staff. Well worth trying.

I have been in several times for drinks. I haven't eaten here apart from cakes but the food looks lovely and the menu has good lunch choices. The service is welcoming the coffee lovely and a relaxed comfortable atmosphere. This has been a great addition to Shirley and I will carry on having a cuppa here, may even try the lunch

Kairos is one of many cafe's that have opened up on the new development that is linked to the Baptist Church in Shirley. The serve a lovely cup of coffee as well as snacks sandwiches and cakes. Lovely friendly staff. Nice modern surroundings. Well worth visiting.

A café run by volunteers from the Shirley Baptist Church. The food is varied and the service is excellent. A good place to refresh yourself after visiting ASDA or the shops in the Parkgate Centre. It is located behind the Church next to the north ASDA entrance.

I've been here a number of times and have found all the staff and volunteers really friendly and always greeting you with a smile. The food is excellent quality and the drinks are a very reasonable price. It's a great addition to Parkgate and there is handy parking facilities available via the new Asda car park.Will definately be returning as a regular!

We have visited this cafe on two occasions in the past week and to be honest it not very good. We only had sandwiches and crisps but sandwiches are average at best and baguette wasn't at all fresh and at nearly £4 for a cheese ploughmans its to expensive especially when it only had pickle on it not what i would call a ploughmans. The octogan coffee shop at the methodist church is by far a better option and much cheaper so i would give that a try rather than this expensive place.

I'm not really one for deviating from my favourite coffee shop chain, but I might think twice having been to Kairos. It struck a great balance of being a quiet yet friendly atmosphere. Our drinks were great quality and cheaper than my usual chain, and the staff were happy and helpful too. I'll definitely be back!

Excellent Flat White and lovely Lime & Zucchini cake!

Tried to get a panini and a cup if coffee. Took way to long. The servers don't seem to know what they are doing Push the religious angle even in the WiFi password.If you want to be surrounded by church types and weirdos this is the place for you.Never again.

Brand new coffee shop, so only open for a week. Nice coffee, really good bacon sandwiches and handmade cakes. Food is prepared to order, rather than heating up a pre-made item. Will definitely be going back.
