The Lounge in Redditch

Fitted us in at the last minute. Bar staff were amazing. However be warned the drinks are next level!! No watered down alcohol here. I do however need to go back to apologise for our drunken behaviour.

Great little place, great staff

Wonderful little bar, there's always a warm welcome. Theres a good variety of beer, spirits and cocktails. Staff are great and make you feel at home. Everything a modern little pub should be.

I have been a few times and visit on my own. I have always been welcomed by staff and customers. Really friendly atmosphere, staff are helpful and friendly. Cocktails are amazing.

Fantastic atmosphere and brilliant service. Karl knew his stuff when it came to advise for the newbie cocktail drinker.

We visited here on a Saturday night and it was so lovely! We got there at 5 in time for happy hour and it gave us the opportunity to try all different cocktails! The owners were really helpful, helping us decide which cocktails to try based on things we liked. It was very cosy and snacks available when we got peckish! Can’t wait to go back.

We have visited the Lounge several times now and we love it, it’s a great addition to Astwood Bank. We also recently celebrated my birthday with a few friends. The cocktails are amazing and topped with great service. Thanks again you all work so hard.

Went here last night for a 40th party..staff were fantastic..so friendly..helpful and the cocktails are delicious..going back to try the rest soon!

Dropped in for cocktails and a couple of beers after an evening meal. 2 small tables out front, we were able to get one. Cocktails are well made and pretty authentic, well priced too. Couple of draft beer options, Becks Blue for me sadly at the mo but served well chilled. There is an oddity that, sat at the back of pavement watching the world go by on a warm summers night we could have been anywhere. There is no harbour or stunning view. But there is an atmosphere of welcome and enjoyment. I love what these guys are trying, and succeeding, to do. In a crazy world there is a bit of cafe culture magic. In Astwood Bank....... who knew! There to be enjoyed, please do.

This is a great place to come for a relaxing night out, where you can sit comfortably and enjoy a drink or some food with a partner or friends. Sounds like an easy recipe that can be found anywhere but I often find pubs and restaurants don’t quite offer what this place does. It’s the people who run it that makes it greatThere’s a good selection of food and nibbles to order and a large selection of cocktails and gins which are always large measures and fairly priced. A special mention for the Pilsner beer tooWe had loaded nachos, tuna salad, southern fried chicken burger, onion rings and fries. All items were fresh and tasty. Nicky and Jason are very engaging hosts and do a wonderful job of creating a very relaxing place for grown ups to enjoy in the evening!

Had a wonderful evening on Friday 8th March with friends. Small place, but the owners have a big heart. Very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, the owners spoke to us as if we were old friends, never had that experience before. They couldn’t do enough to help, whether it be recommending which gins to have or getting extra dips for our fries! The burgers were amazing, we had buffalo, kangaroo and ostrich. A good range of gins and tonics, and a very nice cider too. Will certainly go back.

Love this place! We are always welcomed with a friendly smile and the hospitable customer service continues throughout the visit until we leave . The gins with slush are just delicious and the anti-pasti board is a great add on to the evening. They are beautifully served and taste gorgeous! A great buzz too when busy

The Lounge always look after us and the kids so well - their burgers are the best! Lovely beer and gin too - what more could you ask for! We feel so lucky to have this on our doorstep, it’s a hidden gem 😀

Hired out the venue for an evening with friends, all 21 of us had a fab evening from the Mediterranean platters which were plentiful to the array of gins on offer. Doesn’t have to be an expensive evening, if you are happy to settle for a Bombay Sapphire it was cheaper than going to the pub!Draught beer, wine, cider & soft drinks also available for those that aren’t into their gin. Service was great.Have also been in for coffee & breakfast and service was warm & friendly then as well.

Went here with a group of friends for a Mezze evening.The food was fresh, well presented and the portion size was more than enough.The glass of prosecco on arrival was a lovely touch and if you like gin then prepare to be spoilt for choice!The atmosphere was wonderful and the staff are so kind and helpful.I cannot find fault and will definitely be returning soon.

Went for a friends afternoon tea, average food. Was a little disappointed the mince pies and some of other cakes served were not home made as you would expect with an afternoon tea.The bigger disappointment came when the bill arrived and it became apparent that I had been getting double gins instead of singles. I had specifically requested a single on my first drink and wasn’t asked after this. The attitude of the manager or waitress (not sure which) was disgusting. Rather than just being apologetic and admitting the mistake and immediately saying you won’t be charged for the price of a double, She tried to argue it, ‘everyone else was drinking doubles’ and ‘you drank it didn’t you.’ Trying new Gins I certainly wouldn’t know if it was a double or not. Yes my friend was drinking coke so does that mean put a shot of something in it because ‘everyone else was drinking’After I left the premises, leaving my money with my friends she then went on to question whether or not I had paid....for all she knows my friends were paying for me.I was also very disappointed with how the Prosecco was served. A glass each, superb! Even better when they automatically come round and top it up and as they were smaller glasses no one questioned it. Some glasses were topped up when they were half full still. However again these extra glasses were added to the bill. Just be wary that they make it appear these glasses are included in the afternoon tea, however only one is but they will just keep topping you up!So after a lovely afternoon, I left the Lounge feeling very upset and disappointed that the mistake of serving me doubles was handled very badly. I certaintly will not be returning and advise anyone going to check very carefully what alcohol measures they are being served.

Excellent we all really enjoyed it there. The food is good plenty variety of drinks hot and cold and brill Gin selection. Staff really nice.

Five of us spent a great evening here. What a good night! This little restaurant bar carries a huge selection of gins all very well described and rated with suitable tonics and garnishes. Jason, the owner, helped with our choices of new gins and Nicky, his wife served up two huge boards of delicicious antipasti which helped to complete a lovely evening.

Coffee and lemon drizzle cake! What's not to like?

This is at least the 3rd or 4th visit this month. A vast selection of gins and tonics to sample. I did intend to work my way through the sheet of listed gins, not in one visit i hasten to add, but decided against this as there were several beginning with 'W' that I liked the sound of. Lol

Popped in & will defo pop back. A really walm & welcoming eatery & the owners are really very friendly and nothing is an issue. We had a breakfast sandwich & cuppa & the food was of high standard. And not to overpriced. They also open late on Thurs, Fri & Sat evenings where you can enjoy burgers, antipasti and explore the wide variation of Gins. We will defo be coming back & cant wait.

This venue is a cafe by day and a Gin bar at night. When we visited they only had a temporary licence so were only open twice a month, however i believe now they have a full licence and are open each weekend (it may be a good idea to check though).

Have visited in the morning for coffee and cake and in the evening to sample a couple of the many gins on offer on a Friday and Saturday night.

So many different gins to try and you really are spoilt for choice. The encyclopaedic knowledge of Nicky the owner about each gin is very impressive.
