We were staying in Upton and visited the Old Anchor pub, where we enjoyed puddings that had been made at this establishment. On leaving the pub we decided to find the shop in order to buy puddings to take home. Delicious homemade steamed puddings are available to buy from the shop or online. The puddings are all made on site using traditional methods and are big enough for 2 people to share. Currently they are £3.60 each or three for £10. We bought 3 of course and our only difficulty was choosing from the huge range available. They freeze well so no need to eat them all at once!

I believe it is now 2nd generation. My friend always buys her Christmas pudding from this delightful artisan pudding shop. We called in late afternoon to get some puddings as a dessert. At this point in the afternoon, I believe the savoury puddings are sold out; a very good sign in my opinion. I opted for the "Black & Blue" pudding. It was utterly delicious. The blueberry with a blackcurrant sauce and a light fluffy sponge is divine. It is a super-fruity tasting pud. This is a decent sized pudding and there is no scrimping on the fruit/sauce and it microwaved really well. I'm embarrassed to admit, that I was so pleased with the look of it that I ate the lot before remembering that I should have taken a photo! The Pudding Shop, is just of the main road, on a small industrial estate, so it has parking at the front, which is helpful if you need this. I liked the fact that you can see the work area from the counter at the front of the shop. The service was polite and helpful. I am sure the next time I visit my friend's in Malvern, we will be heading back to the Pudding Shop, so I can sample more puds. If you are in the locality and love puddings and/or supporting local family run businesses, then I can highly commend the Pudding Shop. Sadly, I didn't pay enough attention, so I am not sure if special dietary needs are catered for.

Visited The Pudding Shop / Upton upon Severn on the way home from The Mumbles, Bought three sweet puddings and have had the Worcestershire Treacle, which was beautiful. Looking forward to having the next two.

We recently visited the Pudding shop, it was towards the end of the day and sadly they had sold out of there meat puddings, the selection looked yummy. We did purchase some dessert puds. Service excellent and super friendly.

There's not a great deal to bring you to Upton but this shop is one. You can see the staff making their puddings behind the counter and the range numbered around 12-15 (?). Both savoury and meaty on offer, and so very very tempting !

puddings are small with hardly any filling. not worth the money. i will not be buying from this company again

Extremely clean and very friendly and a good choice at a fair price. Also you can sit down and have tea/coffee and cake/pie.

Just eaten the Steak and Guinness pudding with gravy....... fabulous! My sister and I found the shop on a visit to Upton on Severn yesterday. We came away with 3 Christmas puddings and 4 Steak puddings and had a warm welcome from Justine.

I ordered a box of 6 puddings from the pudding shop website ! They were literally devine ! the best that I have ever tasted & The service was amazing. Love this business it fascinates me ❤️

We found this shop by accident , the service was friendly and helpful, it couldn’t have been better and we will be back. My husband ate the Steak and Guinness pudding and said it was fantastic. Light suet, delicious, thick meaty filling and a pot of amazing gravy to go with it. He’s northern and said it can’t be beaten ( praise indeed). My daughter had the Worcestershire Treacle and gave it a big thumbs up too .

Although not accepting people for dining in, we received a very warm welcome to The Pudding Shop for take away. The assortment of steamed puddings available and also added bonus of freshly baked Christmas puddings made it a very hard choice. The knowledge of ingredients, best ways to cook and store your puddings was first class. Not the easiest place to find but follow the post code and you will not be disappointed.

Went here to get a steak and kidney puddings and left with 3 and 2 sweet puddings. There was even a choice of three gluten free puds. Lovely people. Well recommended.

Best Christmas pudding we have ever had by a country mile, indeed we are still salivating 2 weeks later.

We dropped in today to buy an award winning Christmas Pudding. The warmth of the welcome was great. They serve puddings on the premises if you are visiting Upton or buy one to take away - or both. It is tucked away in the aptly named Back Lane - but seek it out!

Don and Dorothy are very hardworking and make the most fabulous handmade artisnal steamed and savoury puds. We called today and were blown away by the warmest of welcomes. A batch of steak and Guinness suet puddings had just been made and Don kindly put three in the steamer as hubby loves suet pudding. We ordered two coffees which were cafitiers along with a black and blue and a ginger pudding. The black and blue pud with vanilla ice cream was fantastic with lots of blackcurrant sauce and the ginger sponge with custard I have on good authority was scrummy. The savoury suet pud was full of succulent beef served with gravy, peas and bread to mop up the excess. Don and Dorothy know how people want to be treated and are definitely treasures. We also bought a variety of puds to take home with us and we are looking forward to putting in our order for our Christmas pudding. See you on our next visit. Andrea and Paul

We visited the shop whilst on holiday and ate Steak & Guiness Pudding followed by sweet puddings. Each was delicious. The couple who make them were so welcoming and it was a visit we will be keen to repeat. We then took some puddings home and there were also delicious. We will be ordering more!

People and product both get top marks. They focus on quality content. I think it's a total shame and unfair that trip advisor list the only bad review so boldly in listings ( in real life some things do happen outside of our control). We had wonderful quality puddings in the shop with excellent flavour. My mum used to make puddings like these, I miss them, they are a fine example of something good about The UK and we need to value anything good lets face it. Thank you to the workers. Personally I'm suspicious of the bad review.

Myself & my Partner come every year to the Upton Jazz Festival and we have always made a point of calling in at this fabulous and friendly little Shop & Cafe. We always have a chat and we are always made to feel like we have been friends for years. We usually sit and have a cuppa, served in a lovely way, and this year we had a piece of the lemon cake which was absolutely delicious. We always take puddings away with us and thoroughly enjoy them. We moved up to Cumbria this year with the caravan and joined our friends and we had the puddings between us and our friends loved them as well. Whenever we go to Upton we will definitely call in at this delightful Shop & Cafe.

Found this my chance from a poster and although not the easiest of places to find, easy when you know how, what a gem. A tiny cafe in an industrial estate that serves tea and coffee and the most delicious steamed puddings. the choice was tremendous - from the spotted dicks, to Cherry Kirsch, to a Lord Randall! some with booze and some without. We had a coffee when trying to decide what to choose and it took us ages. In the end came away (they do take away) with 4 sweet puds, 1 steak and Guinness and 1 steak and kidney. All microwaveable and just had to be had with some hot custard. All in all delicious.

We had a fantastic lunch in the Pudding Shop cafe today. Steak and kidney puds followed by lemon pudding with custard. Simply brilliant food and lovely people making and serving the food - a great family business. We will return.

This was the best Christmas pudding by far I have eaten and I was so proud that I was serving it to my guests on Christmas Day, who all thought the same as I did. Dorothy and Don are lovely. Their shop is a 2 hour round trip for us , but knowing know how delicious it was, I would travel even further to collect it😀 thank you.x

Quite a modest dining area, being an adjunct to the main production facility, but the puds are superb. We’d tried the sweet puds before (the Lord Randall is recommended) but this time took away two steak & kidney which, on microwaving at home, were delicious. Will look out for them at the forthcoming Malvern Autumn Show.

If you follow the signs for the pudding shop from the car park at the back of Upton (backfields) this place really is a little gem.I’d be the size of a house if I lived closer with the delicious choice of savoury or sweet puddings.Very big thank you to the Gentleman behind the counter. What a chap. Busy afternoon and we didn’t wait too long either.The pudding shown in my picture is a Steak and Kidney, we also had Steak Pies & Puddings in the party and a selection of the sweet ones too! Found details of the Pudding Shop in the information room whilst staying at the Malvern Hills Caravan Club site, visited on first day, as it sounded just my sort of place, greeted warmly by Don, and selected some puddings to try whilst on site,they were one of the highlights of our visit ordered Steak puds and more sweet puds to collect on our day of departure,all fantastic a real culinary triumph . Just waiting to get home to place an online order, i am sure the first of many. Their enthusiasm shines through all they do Thank you

I ordered a non-alcoholic Christmas Pudding at short notice. Delighted that it arrived in time for Christmas Dinner. A lovely, tasty, not-to-heavy pud. Highly recommended.

I spent a thoroughly lovely morning with Don, Dorothy and Clare, learning how to make their incredible Christmas Pudding. They were so friendly and welcoming, and obviously have a huge passion for their puddings, it was a joy. We also got to taste 'one they made earlier' and it was divine - rich, tasty and full of top quality ingredients. Can't wait to taste the one I made, thank you for a great workshop.

Egg shells in my pudding I bought in Abergavenny food festival Saturday, never again !

We happened to find this little shop tucked away in the pretty town of Upton and we're so glad we did. We purchased two steak & Guinness puddings, one Spotted Dick and an Apricot Sponge pudding. Top marks on service and the aforementioned were all delicious. Will most certainly return if we find ourselves this way again.

Tucked away down a back lane we found the Pudding Shop/Cafe. We had been in several cafes in Upton but could not find any gluten free cakes for my wife on her birthday. She more than made up for this, however, by having the deliciously light jam sponge pudding with custard! I had the steak & kidney pudding, also good, and we took home more puddings. Run by a really friendly couple. Well worth a visit.

We have been searching for the perfect Puddings like your Nan used to make and we have found them. Real old fashion Puddings, suet and filling ( We had the steak & Ale & Sweet Puddings Black and Blue ) were top quality. We steamed the Savory ones on the hob, 15 mins they come out perfect, we put the sweet ones in the Microwave for 1 min again came out perfect. I gave one of the Meat Puds to an elderly friend who love a moan but he couldn't find fault either.What a find, we will be ordering again regularly

Absolutely terrible at communication. As a business they need to learn this is the one thing that drives customers crazy. Extremely slow delivery. I would not recommend ordering online from this company.

Just arrived home from collecting my Christmas pudding from the pudding shop! They are gorgeous and are the only thing I love about the big day ! LolCollected my usual 12 individual sponges for my best friends and treated my self to a coffee and cake while I was there! I love this place so much ! Be back soon Mr and Mrs Bridges xxx

We stumbled upon this place whilst walking in Upton. Really friendly service and a great range of puds to try. Took a couple home and really enjoyed them!! Well done the pudding shop guys

We had three puddings to takeaway the first was ok the second had mould on it. we complained and received an apology and a replacement. We then opened two Spotted dicks and found them to be just lumps of suet with about half a dozen currents in. I would have rang and complained again but the thought of wasting time again and receiving some more inedible puddings seemed a waste of time.

Tiny premises, a bit tucked away on a trading estate behind main shopping area. Several tables, nicely decorated with fresh flowers, where you can sit & eat a pud of choice. Not really a restaurant or cafe, primarily a shop where you can also try the puds. Amazing selection to buy to take home, both sweet & savoury. You can see the friendly staff behind the counter making these puds. Definately recommended.

In Upton visiting my aunt who brought me, my daughter and partner to visit this lovely little shop today. The puddings where absolutely gorgeous, reasonable prices and the staff where absolutely lovely. Would recommend to anybody!

We were in Upton for the Sunshine festival and after walking down to the end of the high street and visiting the Flea Market in the village hall, we got hungry and fancied a coffee and scone like you do. We saw the sign for the Pudding Shop pointing down the back street and found it set back off the road. What a great little business. Well done to you all there, loads of choice of pud and the chance to have coffee and scone whilst watching you go about your business. Also taking the time to talk to us as if you'd known us forever.Love the calendar as well. A return is on the cards

We are regular visitors to Upton upon Severn for the blues music weekend. While exploring the town we stumbled across this lovely little place where the quality of the puddings is to die for. The added bonus was the amount of brownie points we won from our wives who absolutely loved this little place, which is now part of our weekend every time we visit.

I returned again yesterday to my favourite little coffee shop. Hidden in the back streets of Upton, I almost feel that its my best kept secret! Although having said that we had to wait for a table this weekend so maybe not such a secret !The cakes are amazing but I love the coffee. I really love stocking up with puddings, I buy a pudding called Lord Randell which I can only get here.The staff are so accomadating and put aside gluten free puddings for my daughter if I email them before I go.Def try it if your in Upton because I always struggled to get a decent coffee before I found here

As a pudding lover, I had to bring my family here. We received a very warm welcome and had a nice chat with the owners. We tried several of the puddings. They were all delicious. We will have to return on another visit and try more!

Wow wow wow....love the puds and pies they are home made and taste just like what my nan used to make, may be priced more than a supermarket but so worth it for the taste of memories. BB pudding is the best.

I visited the pudding shop for the first time today and received such s warm welcome. Both the steak and kidney and steak and ale pies went down very well for tea tonight -we will be back. Such an amazing range of sweet puddings as well and just on our doorstep. Lovely lovely people.

We didn't go for the sweet puds but rather lunch--a limited beef only selection; fine for us but others perhaps not (including the vegetarians who walked in, then out). DELICIOUS beef & ale suet pudding, served w/peas & gravy. With plastic chairs & tablecloths, we thought the pricing was a wee bit high (& no toilet facilities)--but wonderfully friendly service & atmosphere.

We discovered the pudding shop after looking at Trip Advisor on a day trip to Malvern. We'd had lunch so we decided we needed pudding. We were not prepared for how nice they were going to be! The staff were really friendly and co-incidentally from the same town as me. I had a sticky toffee pudding and my friend had the chocolate which we ate in complete silence with grins on our faces. Would definitely recommend, especially if you happen to be on the M5.

We were recommended this little cafe by a friend. We both had the steak and kidney pie with peas. It was delicious, the pies were filled with excellent quality meat, packed full. The suet pastry was excellent. Really enjoyed our visit here, and the staff couldn't have been more polite and friendly.

Visited the Pudding shop stall at Droitwich-Spa food festival. Have had puddings from them before and got a selection of them for our freezer as they are so good .particularly like the Lord Randall one, but the others-quite a range of these traditional English puddings are equally as good. The steak and kidney pudding was simply amazing, full of meat and the suet lovely. Can’t remember the last time I had one as good, may be at my gran’s having to go back to the 1950s!! .Service very friendly too!

A must visit if you are within 250 miles of the place. The pies were the best we have ever had and the staff were so kind and friendly. Brilliant.

My six month diet regime took a serious lapse on visiting the Pudding Shop. What a marvellous find! Tucked away in Upton this family run business supplies a wonderful range of mouth-watering sweet and savoury puddings. This is a working kitchen from which they supply customers worldwide but have a few tables where you can be sample the delights of their pudding menu. We had a steak & kidney pie served with an extra jug of gravy served with peas which was delicious, followed by an equally moreish lemon pudding and ice cream. The whole family were excellent hosts and company. Their enthusiasm was certainly infectious and the food fantastic. It was difficult to leave without a smile on your face.I would thoroughly recommend but would suggest elasticated trousers for your visit.

I'd been looking forward to visiting 'The Pudding Shop' in Upton after reading all the great reviews and was not disappointed. I have lived in the USA for 26 years but still crave the taste of traditional, British food. The Pudding Shop is a gem!The puddings are all handmade with care by the owners. You can witness them mixing the ingredients in the kitchen as you sit in the small and cozy seating area. The steak and kidney pudding was delicious and I couldn't resist trying the St. Clement dessert pudding. I also bought four more flavors to take home :-) I can't wait to try their Christmas Puddings that I will be ordering from Texas. The owners are extremely welcoming and friendly and the pride and care they take in making their puddings is evident. Thanks for sharing your passion. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed stopping by.

Back in Upton so we returned again to the pudding shop for our usual coffee and scone. This time we ended up speaking to the people who own it who were telling us of their plans for this year. Which includes afternoon teas and pudding events. I just love the quirkiness of the placeWe came away with our usual bag of Steamed puddings which were freshly made that morning . This time I bought a bag of 4 puddings for a gift. Ooh meant to say the coffee is fab!

We called in the pudding shop on our trip out to Upton. It's not your usual style cafe from the outside but boy what a treat as you open the door. The smells alone are inviting but the welcome you receive is just as good. We had a lovely coffee each and I had a scone with jam and cream and my partner had a big slab of chocolate concrete which took her back to her old school days. It was great to be able to see into the open plan kitchen where all the lovely puddings were made and speak to the owners who were absolutely lovely. Would definitely recommend anyone to go here. We will definately be making a return visit.

Today we went to the pudding shop on recommendation of Trip Advisor - my husband had the chocolate pudding and I had the syrup - amazing - and I love steam puddings - and it was a 5/5

We were in Upton on May 2nd and found the town in full swing with Morris dancers and all sorts of "folky things" . After 2 hours , we walked back to our car , which we parked just out of the centre.My wife noticed the sign for the Pudding Shop which was tucked away and not easy to find . I have to say , from a distance it looks a little like a small warehouse that had a few tables and chairs outside . Our curiosity got the better of us and I am so pleased it did , There must be 20 different sweet puddings to choose from , all made "on the spot" . There are Savoury ones as well . But on this occasion we chose three different steamed puddings all served with fresh custard and washed down with English Tea in Bone China cups . All very civilized . Great quality , great prices , great service . If you want a treat and your in Upton on Severn then check out the Pudding Shop . Limited seating within , but you can have " take aways" and make your own custard at home later . HIGHLY RECOMMEND !!

The puddings are delicious and what a choice. We liked the xmas ones and the blackcurrant as well as the savoury too. Also you can pop in for tea or coffee with a scone or cake. They are always friendly.

I could eat there pies and puds every day .....amazing taste like nan used to make. Complete to take away gravy incuded.

Go to the shop or shop on line. Its up to you. Excellent puddings both sweet and savoury. The also have a small cafe on site where you can eat the delicious puddings. They are all home made on the premises.

My husband and myself popped in last week for coffee & home made scones.The coffee was freshly made(cafetiere) and very tasty.The scones were absolutely delicious,other half Just had butter but I went for blackcurrant jam as well as butter-yummy !Dorothy,Don & Justine,you have a great little cafe & your friendliness is lovely.We will visit you again

A hidden gem. As the name suggests, this is a great place for enjoying both sweet and savory puddings. There is a nice seated area to enjoy your pud or scone while enjoying the delightful conversation of the family that run the business. Not on the high street but well worth searching out.

Went over for a gluten free Christmas pudding for my granddaughter and what a delightful place so friendly and welcoming. Don, Dorothy and Justine although very busy have time for people, chatty and interesting. We had cafetiere coffee and my partner had a home made scone and jam which he said was scrumptious the nicest he had tasted. We bought home a blueberry and blackcurrant steamed pudding which needless to say did not last long, it was absolutely delicious.We really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back before Christmas as we would like to sample both the steak and kidney pudding and the steamed chocolate pudding. Anyone wanting perfect steamed puddings that are different The Pudding Shop is a must.

Dare I say it! .....it shows!.. We popped in on a walk to check it out and bought as a take away a steak and kidney pudding. My wife thought it would do for Sunday dinner, but she was very mistaken. It was noshed with relish as soon as we arrived home and it was very delicious. Great crust and generous filling. Just as good as mum used to make (in fact a lot better!)All the traditional puddings too... even chocolate concrete' remember that!A very special place, well worth a visit and next time you plan your dinner party.. get a real pudding.

Staff very friendly, ordered steak kidney puddings for collection next day. Once home re heated, very tasty.Next time we are bringing home a few selections of steamed sweet puddings. Was in Upton on Severn as part of Jazz weekend. Planning to go back to collect next order soon!

Having lived in the area for almost 10 years I am devastated not to have found this place sooner.Fabulous home made food served by the most pleasant people. I will definitely be back on a day when I am not attending the Jazz Festival and stock up on steak & kidney pies for hub and icky sticky toffee for myself

I only had time for a quick cup of tea and a scone, but I wish I had had time and the appetite for more. The scone was just out of the oven, still warm, and was absolutely delicious – looking at what was on offer, if the puddings are half as good as my scone & pot of tea, I would have been very happy. I WILL be back!

Discovered this small cafe tucked away behind the main street In Upton. Very friendly, great freshly brewed coffee and lots of lovely treats freshly baked on the premises, the speciality being steamed puddings. Obviously not a secret with those in the know as they had sold out of all of their savoury puddings. Despite being hidden away they had plenty of happy customers, most of whom appeared to be repeat visitors, which must speak volumes.Will definitely visit again next time we're in Upton.

This Weekend we attended the folk festival in Upton, So what better way to spend saturday afternoon then to sit eating beautiful cake and listening to the White thorn dancers!! The cafe is full of interest .... including a wall with trendy chalk boards of suggested puddings to take away! The great thing is that we did not break the bank but had a wonderful hour. Cant wait until July when we return again.

Delicious puddings [all of them, and had most], lovely people great value

Had not been to Upton upon Severn for years, walking round we saw a sign for The Pudding Shop, just had to take a look. What a little gem of a place. Warm very friendly greeting. Decided to have a cuppa and toasted tea cake, what can you say about a toasted tea cake ? These were the best I have ever had ! We purchased a lemon sponge & spotted dick to take home, they were lovely, light sponge, not over sweet & lovely flavour. A hidden gem that you must take the time to find !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We were made to feel like old friends popping in for a chat. Nothing was too much trouble for the lovely couple who own this little gem tucked away in Upton. The freshly made scones with jam were the best we ever tasted and the chocolate concrete was amazingly good, so good we took some home with us along with a few of the wonderful puddings we had watched being made. Everything is freshly made on the premises and it is quite obvious from the taste that high quality ingredients are used. Well worth a visit. We will certainly be ordering more puddings from their website.

We are often in Upton when we visit our caravan, Many times we stroll around looking for the perfect place to enjoy a coffee and cake but struggle. By complete default we found the pudding shop cafe.... we loved the whole experience so much we returned the following week.The cakes and scones are gorgeous, The coffee is of a great quality (and we are fussy)! The people who own it can't do enough for you. The whole experience is intriguing and been part of The pudding Shop of Upton on Severn you can leave with a bag of steamed puddings freshly made ! Gorgeous. I can't recommend the cafe enough. The only negative about the cafe is the opening hours! We took friends back the following week and it was closed which was so disappointing to say the least.Our only regret is that we found it late in the caravan season.

We were travelling around Upton Upon Severn and found this Fantastic little Cafe and Pudding shop. Lovely people and a brilliant range of steamed puddings. We stocked up on Steak puddings and had a good cup of coffee. we will be back!
