Delightful country pub. We met the owner and he was a lovely genuine man. Fish and chips was superb, and beer was perfection!

Just had an incredible meal here, we ordered Crabvacado burger and the trout and garlic prawns both excellent in flavour and presentation.. Finished with the rhubarb crumble and the brownie equally well presented and delicious. Service matched the wonderful food all in all an excellent experience.

Popped in for a lunchtime meal and ended up having 2 traditional breakfasts and 2 coffee’s. Food was served quickly and was piping hot. Along with the friendly and efficient staff and great prices, means we’ll definitely be visiting again. Thanks a lot.

Ideal quick drink before heading home.

The staff were great and helpful, the room was clean and nice and the bed was clean oaderless and comfortable. But most of all the room had a modern controlable and quiet air con unit.

Good food, good atmosphere, very good value for money, a real traditional English country pub, we will definitely be back!

Great place to sit and have food and drinks and watch the skydivers! Nice choice of food. Great to have the option of bar drinks for our non drivers. Special mention to the server with pink hair. Went way above and beyond to ensure all of our party (some dietary requirements) were fully accommodated for. Attentive and friendly. Professional. (We noticed not everyone there had the same customer service skills). They are lucky to have you. If you read this, I work in hospitality and you should be running a place like this with the skills you have. The sky is the limit...

Lovely clean rooms. Well equipped with tea and coffee etc. Perfect central location.

Ive Been coming here on and off for years and out of all costa's ive been in this is most friendly. Bring to table service with a friendly smile . best flat whites from all ive visited.

We had a lovely time with all our friends and the chicken was amazing! We all loved our Sunday Roasts and our dessert was just as good. The pub dog was very friendly and we even got to give her a treat! We definitely recommend for a nice pub lunch. Staff were very polite as well!

We went for afternoon tea yesterday, which we enjoyed but not the best we’ve had. We had a voucher which had unfortunately expired but we explained due to illness we hadn’t been able to use it when planned. We were told it wouldn’t be honoured & would you like you bill ( £79) which we paid & went. Needless to say we will not be returning anytime soon for what turned out to be a very expensive & disappointing Christmas gift.
