The Bath Arms in Wiltshire

Only 2nd time in a 'spoons and it was really nice, well most of it. I'm nit a gambler so I was taken with the slot machine things or the big TV' s showing racing but thaf was my only dislike. We enjoyed some really good good, I had the veggie burger and it came with a drink so I had wine, my partner the curry and a pint, what a bargain. We are hoping to move to the area and if we do I think I'm going to enjoy visiting many more times. Friendly staff, nice drinks and food.

Top Banana had a great visit to Warminster and fantastic Sunday Breakfast.

I went here for a drink and food with a couple of friends. The pub was busy and service was fine. The food was fine for the very acceptable price and took a reasonable time to arrive. A good system and friendly service.

Only popped in for a well priced bbq burger and drink each but was very impressed at the attentive staff, quick service and lack of the loud louts who sometimes take up residence at other "spoons" pubs. Toilets were clean and on the ground floor too. Looking at the hotel website, the rooms look nice too.

Typical Wetherspoons, great value, good location and lovely building.

Stayed there in the past and had one of the most stressful hotel stays in my life. Service is terrible always seems be terrible never enough staff always two kids that seem clueless to their roles. Location is beautiful but make sure you have everything you need as there isn't a single convenience shops anywhere, madness

Second, stay in a Wetherspoons hotel, again can't fault the product. The Bath Arms was great, rooms clean and modern, beds very comfortable, wash facilities immaculate, Staff here very friendly and helpful. Young lad who seemed to be the team leader (im sorry i didn't catch his name) was extremely helpful, very polite, and sorted out any queries very quickly. There is no car parking on site. However, a local council car park right behind the hotel, which is reasonably cheap with ample parking.

It's a wetherspoons you get what you pay for. Their lasagna is nice though.

I know this is going to upset all the dog lovers but one of the good things about "spoons is the no dog rule, virtually everywhere else we went in Wiltshire had plenty of dogs snuffling, barking and gazing at your meal, so nice to have a couple of Flack's Double Drops at the great price of £2.63 without our furry friends, it's a decent 'spoons, but the loos weren't in the best state

Great pub, good selection of drinks and food. Very clean and had a great atmosphere. The customers were wide and diverse with lots and chatting and laughter inside. Worth a visit when next in town . 👌

It is a very good place to stay. The room is clean, the food is very delicious, convenient. I send my children to study at Bishoptrow College, so I found a place to stay near the school. Grilled chicken is very delicious.

Safe choice for breakfast, Nice food

We stayed twice in this hotel. The first time we had a comfy, clean and modern room. The second time we had an AMAZING room (check the pics). There is a functioning elevator (which is not to be taken for granted!) Water, coffee and biscuits are available in the room. The service and food in the pub are nice and the Kitchen is open till 11 pm. Great breakfast selection

It would have to be dire for me to give a Wethies less that 4 stars, because I am not judging it against anything other than other Wethies. Wethies are an experience unique to themselves. This one does what it says on the tin. I would have awarded 5 stars except for the fact that my all day brunch came out with literally stone cold beans. This was quickly rectified, with the whole meal being cooked afresh. That's fine with me, but I just can't understand how cold beans could slip under the radar in the first place. Good real ales, £210 a pint, and a very pretty and efficient T-girl behind the bar (which isn't something you can say often!). I would gladly call this my local and feel at home.

Visited this place while on holiday . Had a curry that was nice .the staff were excellent .even though very busy they asked us a few times if we were OK and was the meal OK. Then are all very hard working and polite they should all be very proud of themselves as doing a amazing job

I was staying in accomodation elsewhere but i needed a quick breakfast as i was catching a train. Lady who cleared dish v friendly. Very accomodating- received porridge quickly and v tasty. Returned late same night (after 9pm) & enquired if they still serving. Ordered pasta alfedo which was very nice. Waiter lovely - very friendly and cheerful. Took time to chat. I will be returning and hope to stay here next time!

My wife and I pop about once a week for a few drinks and quite often a meal. The staff these days are hardworking and know what they are doing so any waiting time is minimal at the bar or using the App. We have never had a problem with the food. Last Thursday 21st (T 20) we ordered a Curry & a Small Plate 3 for £14.. everything was cooked perfectly ! I've had Portsmouth FC supporters in there with me in the past and we've always had a good time and great service.

Had the chicken jalfrazi was nice for cheap pub grub. Had two pints of doom bar presented well.

Credit where it is due. This Wetherspoons is probably the best I've been to in Wiltshire. I am a regular, often for breakfast, sometimes just for a couple of pints. This afternoon I visited and enjoyed a Guinness, a Stowford Press and a packet of peanuts for less than £7. The staff on duty today was the youngest I've seen, yet they were polite, friendly and efficient.

The Bath Arms has been renovated,and looks very nice but I've not been inside yet. I'm sure its a very nice place and serve very good food and beer/drinks. Service and staff good too. Must check it out soon as you all should too when in the area. Take care all.

Very good location. Stayed at the hotel to visit Longleat Safari Park. Great service for food and the room was lovely. Spacious, clean and even had hot chocolate sachets along with the general coffee and tea for the room. Would definitely stay again! There is a car park on site but can easily be missed. We parked in the car park round the back but due to arriving at night and leaving early in the morning, there were no charges.

Me and my friends walked in for breakfast sat in the restaurant and got told to leave and couldn’t that I couldn’t order food but it’s also a restaurant and the woman was very rude to us won’t be going again

Have visited this pub a few times and the decline in the quality of the food has been noticeable. Not sure if it’s a change of supplier but formerly reliable meals like the chicken bites are staler and less flavourful versions, and the once crispy chips often come out soggy. Also the steak we ordered as medium rare was served as well done. It is unfortunate because we love coming here whenever we are in town.

Sorry to say a really poor quality lunch. As a wetherspoons pub I have visited several over the years. Recently have been to the kings head in Salisbury and this week The Bath Arms in Warminster. Standards and quality are certainly not what they used to be. You could always bank on a reasonable priced lunch with a beer that was nicely prepared but feel they are now just going through the motions and no longer care. This weeks lunch was the Christmas special cheese burger. Their burgers now are 2x3oz patties and these were just so dry and tasted really of nothing. Can't understand why you just would not just stick to a 6oz to keep some moisture. Chips were OK. I understand it was busy but now had 3 meals in a row that have just been mediocre and just there is now better value elsewhere. What a shame

The service was terrible 2 girls in particular were especially rude, a blonde girl with a black eye and a dark haired girl with red eye shadow had a bad attitude and ignored us several times. Sent the food back wanted a refund but never got one so left very unhappy customers.

Called in for a breakfast as a family of three, traditional breakfast was cold and the egg was hard, the smashed avocado had a slight trace of avocado on the muffin, lucky I ordered poached eggs with this, but unfortunately they had spent too long in the microwave. I know this is a Wetherspoons breakfast of which I’ve had many of, but this has to be the worst one ever, staff were friendly and polite, just need to find someone who knows what they are doing in the kitchen

All of the staff were really friendly and the food was good as usual. Don't often review but this is the first wetherspoons in a long while that the tables have been cleaned. The last 4 visits to other wetherspoons we have cleaned the table ourselves or asked for it to be cleaned.. Well done.

We stayed here overnight as part of a visit to Longleat given its useful proximity. The atmosphere was welcoming and the staff were incredibly accommodating. The room was perfect for our needs, with comfortable beds and a spacious bathroom. The room was incredibly clean and a good temperature, plus it was quiet which was great, though bear in mind we stayed from Monday - Tuesday. We went down to the pub for dinner and were so impressed. The service was incredibly quick and the variety of food was lovely, with loads of different dishes including those that suit smaller appetites. The value for money is unmatched! The same can be said for breakfast in the following morning. Our stay was already brilliant, but I have to mention the wonderful El who went above and beyond to make me a packed lunch for our visit to longleat the following day, despite the hotel no longer officially offering this service. The food was delicious and meant we had one less thing to worry about, and it meant the world that she was so willing to provide this for us. I hope this encourages the hotel to reinstate this service officially!

Big 'Spoons fans - this visit was a disappointment. Long wait, 20mins - we had a train to catch from the town, Steak overcooked, no steak knife provided, The chicken was as dry as it could possibly be - and cold. No check back from the staff to see if the meals were ok otherwise ok - we could have complained at the time. Good points, Gin was great and the limited salad ok. Complained via the Wetherspoons website and we offered free drinks at this location.

Had Cod and Chips, Mushy Peas. The Cod was brown and not golden, looked over done, Chips was old brown and soggy, absolutely disgusting, I should have complained but didn't want to ruin the after noon.

Took parents to Warminster and as dad's favourite pint in Doombar we ended up here for lunch! Sadly due to their Ale Festival Doombar wasn't available! We all ordered the Buttermilk Chicken Burgers but what made today's lunch stand out for us compared to other Wetherspoons we have visited was our waitress! Young lady with dark tied back hair, glasses and tattoos (I think) on her left shoulder and arm! She did a check back to ensure our meals were ok and cleared our plates away as soon as we finished eating, again making sure we were happy! She's an asset to this pub and will go far in the hospitality industry!

My husband booked to have lunch on Valentine’s Day. We arrived 5 minutes before our booking, ordered a drink at the bar, the guy seemed not very with it especially when we said we had a table booked. He said he would tell the person in charge. Funnily enough he didn’t leave the bar area. Twenty minutes after our booking slot we got up and left, no one called us back. Terrible service, spoilt Valentines lunch.

An enjoyable evening spent in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. I ordered a steak meal and it was tender, hot and delicious. The member of staff asked before hand how I would like my steak cooked. Two members of our group had vegan based meals and they were not dissapointed, the other person had a chicken curry which got the thumbs up too.

Unforgivable to be served barely luke-warm food. Ordered fried eggs on toast and bacon. When it comes with no temperature it’s so disappointing. Why would a chef let it go out. Sorry won’t be back if you can’t make a simple breakfast.

I have to say that this is usually a go-to Wetherspoon’s for us (even though we have one where I live in Trowbridge). We all know what we like and the majority of the time, it is very good. This time however, it would seem that they’ve either changed the chipotle mayo that usually comes with the chicken strips and in the Southern Fried chicken wrap or decided to introduce sweet chilli into the chipotle. When I questioned why I had sweet chilli in my wrap, I was assured that it was the normal chipotle that has always been served. I am not usually one to complain, but when you know, you know, especially when it’s your favourite meal at spoons and your favourite sauce. Anyway, disappointed with the response to my query, especially when the manager told me there can’t be sweet chilli in the wrap because they don’t have any on the premises…. My Mom also asked if there was any salad cream and the response was, “I don’t think so.” Anyway, usually very much enjoy my food here… maybe just don’t come on a Wednesday afternoon.

I can't comment on the beer in the Bath Arms as I've never had one there, but the coke is all sugar-free, and it's diluted more than it should be. The Hot drinks are pay for the cup and sit and refill for free. They are value for money. The all-day Breakfasts are good value for money. The food, in general, is very good quality and good pub grub. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Quality of cooking can be a hit and a miss sometimes. Particularly at busy times. Patience people! My friend and I pick up there for a once-a-week meet and enjoy the pub, it's clean and the pub has character, loads of spaces to sit and even outside. It's a massive place. There is patron parking at the back of the pub, but to get to it you have to go around the back as if you were going to the main car park, then figure out which is the pub, because it is not marked at the back until you're in it. Warminster does have a free car park where Iceland and the Library are. You have up to 2 or 3 hrs there. This is a Weatherspoons pub = Bath Arms.

First visit to a Wetherspoon hotel. On arrival informed no hot water or food as water boiler was broken, but it would be fixed next day. Agreed to stay. However, boiler was not fixed in time scale promised and that it would be 3 more days before it was. Terminated visit after only 2 days. Also, in bedroom windows overlooking busy high street could not be closed properly and 1 room light were broken and another not working. Both window and lights problem reported but nothing done. Decor was also very tired looking. Over all, a huge disappointment. Only plus, we a great Thai food place at a hotel across the road

Went in here for drink & something to eat whilst staying in Warminster. Was one of the dirtiest Wetherspoons I have been in and rowdy as well even on a Tuesday with people who had too much to drink and to top it of someone was sick in pub, staff mopped it and threw powder over it but smell still got in pub so we left!

This restaurant could do with a good clean. The tables were very mucky, although I tried to clean ours with a wet wipe, the dirt had been there so long, it wouldn't come off. We were only having coffee, so we put up with it. The menus could do with a good wipe also, they were very sticky and there were cup marks all over them. We didn't go back there for lunch as we thought the whole place was dirty.Saying this, the food is good and cheap. The coffee was excellent and you could get a refill if wanted. It was very packed as you would imagine as these prices and also very noisy. Not the place for a nice quiet Saturday morning coffee with friends!

Our family of 3 stayed for 2 nights as this hotel was close to Longleat (about £16 by taxi). The hotel is a few minutes easy walk from the station. Our room was large and well appointed though it did not have a minibar/bar fridge. There is a lift for those with luggage however the room we were allocated did have a set of stairs to get from the private entry foyer to the room. We ate in the pub downstairs which was affordable and served decent portions. The staff were friendly and efficient. We used the Wetherspoon app which allowed you to order and pay while at your table. This was useful to avoid having to line up to order. There’s a few shops in the street behind for groceries, bread, etc. Also a few op shops. This hotel was a short drive to the Dents Outlet which sold a wide variety of gloves, hats, beanies, scarves, umbrellas, bag and decor.

This was one of the bigger Wetherspoons I have visited and you always know what you are getting,-good food and drink deal. Although it was very busy on the Friday evening, we managed to get a table fairly easily and our food was bought promptly too. No problems!

Me and my boyfriend decided to have a quick lunch at Wetherspoons in Warminster. As we walked in it wasn’t busy at all, we ordered our food and was told 10-15 minutes. Half an hour later I asked a waiter where our food was to which she said she would have a look but took a little while. 10-15 minutes later I went to the bar to ask what time I ordered my food to which I was told it was coming and that was it. Terrible service. Terrible staff and vile food. When receiving the food there was no salad in the wrap looked awful. When asking then to take it back and put salad in I got an unprofessional response. When receiving it for the second time they had completely annihilated the wrap in sauce. No refund offered or anything. Didn’t eat the food. Absolutely awful place definitely not recommended for food or for customer service. Will NOT be coming back.

4 of us stayed here for 1 night, and I was not in anyway disappointed. The rooms are very well maintained, spotless and finished to a very high standard. The hotel is a 17th century building which makes it very interesting in side, to say the least with slopping floors and ceilings. It being a spoons makes food and beer the same throughout the country, so you know just what your getting without surprises. Constant noise in room from (we found out next day) a door directly below the room, in the pub, which was slammed every 10-20 seconds (toilet access door with no restrainer). Also crowds on pavement directly outside room from the pub till 1am smoking, shouting and fighting, then from people waiting for taxis at rank opposite till 3 / 4am after the nightclubs throw out. And every footstep from the room upstairs. And the party of drunken middle-aged folks at 2.30am trying to find their room in the corridor and Mary saying she didn't want to go to bed yet "Shhh Mary! Mary - shhhhh!!!".

Has a jacket potato with chilli for lunch and it was good. Another night we had a pizza which despite its soggy bottom was much more tasty than the pizza we had at the Firestation restaurant the night before and for half the price.

We stayed here for 2 nights, upon check in we we’re question about payment which we had already made, bar service was slow throughout due to there being one person serving at the bar at all times. The hotel reception area never had a member of staff present, when we arrived we had to go around to the bar in search for help and upon check out after waiting for ten minutes resorted to just handing in our key cards to the bar - very sloppy.

Stayed here once before and it was great. Rooms are very well equipped with tea, coffee, biscuits, hairdrier and lovely big soft towels. The room was so quiet I slept all night, unusual for me. Breakfast isn't included in the room rate but it's a Wetherspoons so breakfast is cheap.
