Absolutely wonderful couple of hours here , beautiful gardens and lovely tea room. We definitely recommended this place and will return 😊

A great cafe with amazing cakes, light lunch and coffee. In desperate desperate need of atmosphere though. Very quiet even when full and could be transformed by so quiet music or something to create a buzz as it’s still verging on an old fashioned tea room.

Our favourite place to relax with a hot drink and a pastry, lots of options available for every appetite along with beverage selections. Dog friendly setting with plenty of seating, always spotless & staff are quick to clear up tables ready for the next customers. Star of the show today was Jasmine, service with a smile, gave great advice on the food & drinks menu and looked after us very well 👌 Highly recommend

Lovely staff and wonderful cafe. We sat in the beautiful courtyard. Really great coffee and they offer dairy alternative for latte. Lots of choice for light lunch and delicious cakes. Dog friendly. I will be going back very soon.

The food is reasonably priced and there are many options to choose from. I ordered the ‘Fatboy burger’ and my husband the ‘Bog breakfast’ and I can really recommend it. A nice place for a short stopover. Today it was cold outside but unfortunately inside the building too, which was not pleasant.

A splendid home-made soup that was simply bursting with flavour of the ingredients, followed by a nicely prepared jacket potato with cheese + a hot chocolate drink provided me with a great snacky lunch. I gathered that Claudia, our cook, was born and grew up in Switzerland, which probably influences her style of cooking. I have no hesitation in recommending The Mustard Seed for this type of meal.

This is just what a pub should be. Firstly, the beer is well-kept. And the welcome is always friendly. I've visited a few times over the past few months and it's always the same; a place where locals meet up for a nice pint and a chat, in a warm and friendly atmosphere. If you want loud music and multiple TV screens, this is not the place for you. It's a rarity these days but, as I said above, this is a proper village local pub.

Mi esposa, tres amigos y yo fuimos a ver un almuerzo en vivo que presentaba a mi hija Isobel Thatcher, cuya reputación europea está creciendo: ella también ha sido no. 3 en las listas de países canadienses recientemente. Izzie tocó y cantó maravillosamente, y el encantador personal nos trajo excelentes baguettes, paninis y ensaladas, con té, café y vino. Qué alivio del mundo libre de música que se nos impone. Izzie también vendió algunos álbumes: le cancelaron unos 40 conciertos y ha sido un año terrible. Puede comprar “Keeping On” y “On My Own” de Isobel Thatcher a través de su sitio web o en todos los medios habituales. Mientras tanto, todo el personal y el tipo de la megafonía hicieron que un año de basura fuera un poco mejor.

Very disappointed as last time we visited the food was very good , today's food was very disappointing, food was undercooked and greasy , knifes and forks were dirty the whole place looked like it needed a good clean , doubt if we will be visiting again

We booked the Angel for a belated staff Christmas party. Dan was helpful in suggesting possible options for us in regards to layout and setup. The pub was clean and tidy. There was a wide selection of drinks on offer, and all requests were catered for. Dan even hosted our own private rock n roll bingo session which was a great hit. He was fun yet professional. Everyone had a great evening. We will definitely recommend and use The Angel for future events.

Great to have our local back in action. The various visiting food outlets are brilliant and very popular.

Huge pub. Sad to see it so empty

Fantastic service amazing staff food perfect (Nigel the chef) great setting and accommodated 4 adults and 3 large dogs at very short notice . The lovely lady behind the bar was what every hospitality business needs.
