Lovely staff and wonderful cafe. We sat in the beautiful courtyard. Really great coffee and they offer dairy alternative for latte. Lots of choice for light lunch and delicious cakes. Dog friendly. I will be going back very soon.

Invited by friends to try this café as it is doggie friendly. There was a warm welcome and quick service. Nice coffee and some very tasty cake (try the Avocado & Courgette). Comfortable seating area with plenty of space and a lovely courtyard for when the weather is better. Will be going again!

We discovered this lovely, and very dog friendly, coffee shop/café the last time we were in Salisbury, and loved it so much we returned. This time it was different, but no fault of the establishments, it was because of COVID-19, there is social distancing, the fact your cannot amble around etc. The dog loved it here, he was so small last time but this time made the most of it and revelled in the attention. I ordered a latte and my partner a hot chocolate and they were both lovely, the coffee is really good quality. I also ordered the eggs florentine gluten free, it was very tasty indeed, my only suggestion would be that as the bread is gluten free maybe toast it. We also ordered the gluten free courgette and avocado cake, it sounds absolutely horrendous I know, and I thought it would be, oh how mistaken I was, it was moist, light and so delicious, I wolfed it down, and even the dog was looking at me for more. After a trip of let downs food wise it was fantastic to be able to know that we can always rely on Monty and Mabel to put our faith back in place, cannot wait to return.

Delicious food, friendly staff, super dog friendly. A really cosy, quirky place to spend an hour sipping coffee and fussing over the dogs that come in. I couldn’t decide what to have and the Turkish eggs were recommended by the staff - amazing!

When visiting family in the area we always make sure to take the family dogs and children to Monty and Mabel's. It's a fun and slightly different venue with small courtyard seating for sunny days or cosy , squashy sofas for less sunny days. Dogs are welcome and made a fuss of but it's also a calm place to catch up with adult friends. Food and service are good and there is a small selection of dog equipment for sale.

Tried here a couple of times recently and although the coffee and cake is fine, the attitude of the young man (manager?) working there is so unenthusiastic, it’s put me off returning. Having a dog-friendly coffee shop is a great idea but the FRIENDLY part seems to be absent. No great welcome, no acknowledgement of dogs, no conversation, no goodbye. I’ve now reverted to using Coffee Darling which is equally dog-friendly but has staff who actually show an interest in its customers (and their dogs).

So pleased to have a little place to be in Wilton! Lovely atmosphere, very inviting and friendly. Plenty of space, warm vibes, lovely and varied drinks menu and the food menu I look forward to trying also. Comfortable to visit alone and catch up on work or even read a book. Absolutely lovely owners who I could quite easily sit around and chat with a glass (/bottle 😂) of wine with for hours. Look forward to the event evenings in future and am grateful to have somewhere so lovely so local.

I had read about M&M and wanted to try it, so we drive from Salisbury to Wilton to see if it was as nice as the website made it look, it is not….. It is better. You enter and the team are so welcoming and friendly, from the minute you enter. The café is deceptively large and goes quite a way back, we sat right at the back on the extremely comfortable sofas. The whole area is dog friendly and they excel at making the place as dog friendly as possible, Huki absolutely loved it and settled down making himself at home, until the cake arrived!!! The coffee and selection of cakes is excellent with a cake to suit all tastes and they are delicious, very rare to get a cake that I enjoy quite so much. There is also a small shop area which is very tempting, in fact we went away with two coats and treats for Huki, who was delighted with the attention!! I really cannot recommend M&M highly enough and it will be my new regular haunt when in Wiltshire

I called Monty & Mabel’s on 19/5 early in the afternoon to find out if they were open. The young person who answered the phone told me they were before the phone was then taken off her. I was then told they were in fact just about to close as the rest of Wilton was closing early, which was fine and totally understandable.

Been here before with my dog in the past and have found it very friendly and a great service. But sadly today went in and the owners have changed the experience was terrible we felt that coming in to a cafe and ordering drinks and some lunch was a massive task !!!! There was no one in the place. Anyway got are drinks and got are food 35 mins later. The owner was more concerned about a table booking coming in and could clearly not handle anymore than two customers at once’s. I tried to pay when ordering the food and she the owner could not even work out the till so we couldn’t pay.

A quirky and interesting cafe/shop with an eclectic range of furniture where dogs are very welcome. The menu was good and the toasties we had were delicious. What let the visit down was the lack of interest from the staff. There was no greeting when we arrived from the staff behind the counter even though no one else was in there at that time. We sat and waited before eventually finding the menus ourselves. The rest of the visit followed suit. Maybe it was a bad day for the staff but it certainly made this only an average experience.

Dogs not only welcome but the café is themed for dogs, including dog menu and dog snacks alongside main dishes, salads, cakes and range of drinks. Apparently double as bar in the evening. A little confusing and lack of initial welcome as staff tucked away on arrival. Nice cakes and good range of teas. Unusual and a definite stop for dogs visiting nearby Grovely Woods.

Totally fab local, dog-friendly (though none present on our visit) cafe just down from the market square in Wilton. Friendly, clean, a little quirky (lots of doggy stuff for sale, dog portraits on the walls) this was a brilliant find. I had the Serrano ham and fig chutney bagel (it should have had manchego cheese as well, but I’m sadly having to eat low fat) and my friend had the cheese platter (3 cheeses, local interesting bread, pickle, gherkins, etc etc) and everything was delicious, prepared and served with care. Great selection of teas too and the coffee was excellent.

I took my sister to this café with her dog for lunch last week, because there had been an article in the local paper and it had been shared on facebook as a good place to go. It is often difficult to find somewhere that you can feel really relaxed in with a dog, so it seemed the perfect option for us. Firstly I would say that the design was a bit mixed up. I know the idea is to be relaxed, homely and welcoming but we found it did not tick those boxes at all. It seemed scruffy and mixed up, quite frankly it looked as if the furniture had been donated by a bunch of neighbours who were just trying to help out. And although yes there were dogs sitting on sofas I was disappointed that there were not at least 2 dog beds and water on the floor inside. There were two bowls of water outside, one of which was empty but we could not see any on the inside. The food was okay, the homemade jam delicious and the staff and owner delightful but I feel the overall ambience did not live up to expectation. I feel this is early days for this café and feel sure as time goes things will improve.

I always want to support interesting new independants in Salisbury and surrounding area. We managed to go here this week and was thrilled to see it absolutely shouldn't "need" support - it is absolutely fab - a real treasure - gorgeous light stylish seating area at the back with a lovely little open air patio if you are lucky enough to go on a sunny day like we did. Fab coffee with a great range of non dairy choices, genuinely lovely friendly chatty host, well priced food (including interesting breakfast taster option), really lovely stylish items in the little shop at the front if you are in the mood to treat yourself (or someone else!) and my usually very-fussy little dog devoured the bangers & mash cupcake...I absolutely loved this little place, I really worry about the low footfall and just hope it can keep going - I highly recommend it even if your not dog-mad.

We do not live locally to monty and mabel's but wanted to go somewhere we could have lunch and take our dog. We ordered meat platters and they were absolutely delicious and really filling. They also do fish and cheese platters. They have fentiman cold drinks and great coffee. We also had a divine rose and pistachio gateau that was to die for. Overall the food and drink was superb. Our dog was spoilt with pawsecco and dog popcorn. There is an array of dog treats and luxury items for sale that you will not find in your average Pet shop or pets at home. Our dog loved the attention and this cafe is a great place to socialise your dog. I would like to point out that you don't have to be a dog owner to enjoy the wonderful food and drink this cafe has to offer all at very reasonable prices. The staff are exceptional and make you feel so welcome there is such a relaxing atmosphere. We plan to visit monty and mabel's much more in the future and highly recommended to all even people that do not own dogs

I have used this new establishment twice now. Up front this is an extremely friendly and welcoming cafe - whether or not you are a dog owner, and this is just the beginning. Service is reasonably fast (depending on what you order) and accommodating. They offer a varied lunch menu with freshly made coffees and cakes. Dogs also have a menu focused on their needs menu, soups and various snacks for them. Coffee and cake at £5.00 is a welcome break. I also used the cafe to fill a space when I missed lunch. I did not want a full meal which they had on a board at the main bar, so they put together a smoked trout with trout pate sandwich with fresh baked, seeded bread and coffee for £7.00. Exceptional quality, value and service. Worth noting is the 2 hours free parking in the Square just outside. If visiting the area it is well worth spending time at this establishment.

Have been coming here about 4-5 times a year over the last 3 years. We were disappointed this time. I understand that they have moved a few animals around for grazing purposes however there wasnt as many animals as usual. I have always supported them as I love what they do and I understand animals are expensive with vet bills and with food. Which is why iv always felt the price was worthwhile and rather cheap for the costs animals take to maintain. However I left today feeling they should atleast move the signs when animals are moved as I couldn't remember which animals you can or can't feed. I feel atleast half the pens were empty :( and others were just a few more goats or pigs in them. The pens were overgrown in the unused pens. And the ducks very over grown. I asked where the missing animals were and was told they out graizing. It was hot but you can see when they in pens due to the layout. I just feel that a notice stating new layouts or even a sign or online update would be a better way to warn people not all animals as usual are around. There is definitely alot less sheep than usual. I'm disappointed this time. And we watched a budgie escape and the staff were left with a net that was so short they wouldn't be able to catch the bird. Unless sorted out I can not recommend to friends anymore due to being so sparse.
