i ate breakfast there which was delicious but also pretty pricy for a tourist. Although my uncle payed if i were the one who pay i wouldn’t eat there. Good to visit once but not as an often place to eat.

There was a Tesco right in front of the room and the room was clean. I wanted to eat some food, but the last order was at 8:30, so I couldn't make it in time, so I was directed to another restaurant. Late at night, the store will close and you won't be able to enter, so if you're planning on going late, it's best to check with the front desk first.

We only popped in for a quick drink, great selection of beers. I recommend the Arkells 3B. It was warm enough to sit in the courtyard. The food looked great for another visit.

I just popped by after a long day in the car looking for a nice pitstop to weigh-up my thoughts. I was greeted with a very pleasant atmosphere that has comfortable and varied table seating that's spacious and well staffed! Despite being a total stranger this evening, the barman made me feel as welcomed as one of the locals. Very very impressed, I shall return 👍

Just visited this cafe and although the food was good the price of a large glass of wine was £11.95! Wine not even listed on the price list. Tables dirty, and half of our guests had already been served and eaten their food before the other half food arrived. Not impressed!

Exceptionally friendly staff, great rooms and excellent food made a very nice weekend stay. We walked some of the thames path and this made an excellent base. Highly recommended.

Our first impression was the prompt attention we received at the door. Service was good and food ok. Cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Dirty tables, dirty menus and stained cutlery and Crockery. Will wait for change of ownership to see if things improve. Overall, a nice meeting place for brunch.

What happened to this place? It used to be so good. The service was shocking. I ordered a macchiato and what I got looked more like half a cup of latte. When I asked the Barista to make it the traditional Italian way (not how the big chain coffee shops serve it) her demeanour was so sour and unpleasant. She brought it to our table, more or less threw it down and stormed off without a word. The food wasn't up to their usual standards either. Poached eggs were over cooked (no runny yolk) and the whole plate was dry; there was hardly any hollandaise sauce or dressing. By this point there was absolutely no point complaining due to how the staff had made us feel. We shall not be returning anytime soon - not until they get these issues addressed. Shame because it used to be absolutely bang on for food and service.

What a little Gem of a place! Food was delicious and the staff were so friendly! Husband had Eggs Under the Sea and I had Eggs in the Woods. Totally Scrumptious.

Ruined my Christmas by serving pie so hot it's scalded the inside of my mouth, with no apology.

We had a great evening, buzzing atmosphere and the food was wonderful. The portions are large so think before you order too much. We will definitely be going again!

We have always had a great experience at the CC which is why we decided to go here again for a special anniversary. Tonight we were very disappointed. The menu had changed and was very limited - especially for vegetarians and there were no 'specials. Unfortunately we will not be visiting again.

We read about this place in our Extra Mile book. We arrived around 10.30am, and it was heaving. We were asked if we minded sharing a table - this is something I would encourage more for elderly singles, and encourage customers to chat if sharing tables. (How about a conversation menu). Not all meals were available, but staff knowledgeable and recommended other dishes, or reduced portion size and price. Food was nice, but a little on pricey side - but this could just be the region. Another Extra Mile cafe ticked off. Nice place.

Haven't stayed here but the food is spot on and reasonably priced, very friendly staff, will make this pub my local.

Very busy cafe with sticky tables. Unable to provide a simple sandwich although they offer sourdough bread and toast. Nothing to tempt one to return. Free car park just round the corner. Club for hire as a party venue.

Visited with a friend hoping to eat , at 8.30pm but despite advertising that they served food up until 9pm they had stopped serving early because they having a reshuffle as new management are taking over. Not all drinks available. I am sure the food would have been good .

Just a coffee today but have eaten in the past and the food it nice and has a buzz about the place. However, they must address the problem with the overwhelming smell from the open kitchen. The whole place smells like a greasy spoon cafe. The last time I was there with 4 friends and sat near the kitchen. We didn't stay around long. This time I was further away but the whole place smelt of cooking oil and garlic, it actually made my eyes water even though I opened the window next to me. It lingered in my hair and clothes for the rest of the day. Such a shame, I won't be going back.

The food is fabulous, if you want a cheapy breakfast/brunch place this is not for you. What's the saying? "you get what you pay for". Very good quality and the staff are wonderful.

This is a first choice brunch spot for me and my boyfriend. The service, food and the atmosphere at the Cricklade Club is unmatched. The prices are also very reasonable with the quality of food. Our recommendations are the muesli, pancakes and the toast with smashed avo and poached egg on top. Will always recommend!!!

Great buzzing venue. Really good young waiter, both welcoming and efficient. Nice wine and good food.Menu could have benefitted with a main course salad option, which I don't think would stretch the tight kitchen operation.

My daughter has been wanting to take me here for ages as the food is so good and I was not disappointed. Spicy ndula eggs, bubble and squeak scrambled eggs on toast were all amazing and though I would normally have a bigger breakfast it was so filling. The server (didn’t get her name) was so bubbly and really welcoming it made it a even more better experience.

Quirky and it all works! We are occasional users of this venue, unusual and inventive. Fresh food procured locally wherever possible. On our last visit we were invaded by prams with babies, I though it a little unfair on the staff to accommodate about 10 of them but they did magnificently.

We are staying in the area and had stopped in after noticing how busy it looked just after mid-day on a Saturday. Although we didn’t have a booking, we were fortunate to get a table in a large bar area. Service was prompt and pleasant, and the background music gave a great atmosphere. I was surprised, and a little disappointed at first to be given the brunch menu despite it being after midday; this was short-lived once the food arrived as both of us thoroughly enjoyed what we had. I had the cauliflower tacos and my partner had the bubble & squeak-fresh tasting, good portion sizes and overall delicious! Would definitely come back and would love to try the evening food/ambiance based on our visit.

The venue is fabulous. The decor too. I just wish they sorted the service out. It takes far too long to order (15 minutes to be asked) and this is after numerous attempts to ask. The food is great - the coffee too. I just wish they invested in training the staff.

It looked lovely from outside and inside. I was very excited about the menu and cocktails but unfortunately it was very disappointing. My husband and I were seated at a large table for 6 which was a bit odd! The French onion soup looked good but was very salty making it unpleasant to eat. I managed about half with the gruyere crouton but couldn't eat the rest. My husband's pate was good, however. We both chose the quesadillas with pulled pork for our mains. They were both completely flat with a very thin layer of pork and cheese. They were pretty dull with no side salad or garnish. We each ate about half and took the rest home in their takeaway box. We plan to share it between our dog and the local fox. We wouldn't bother going again....

Up until lockdown etc, I couldn't fault The Club. The food was super, still good but not quite as good as it was with a change of chef. The ambiance is good and Covid measures have been in place. The coffee seems to vary - I like a tasty coffee and sometimes it's excellent but other times it hasn't had enough taste for me - maybe that depends on who makes it?? I still regularly call in but whereas I would have scored 10 out of 10,now I would say 8.

One of my favourite places to visit in Cricklade! The food here is absolutely DIVINE! All of the ingredients are sourced locally - and you can definitely tell by the taste and presentation of the food. For the prices, the dishes are an absolute steal! Service is always fantastic and have never been disappointed with any of the dishes. If you’re in the area, it’s worth booking a table so you can ensure you get to experience the food!

Visited today after hearing many great things. Extremely disappointed in the service or lack of we received today! Waited 15 minutes for menu’s, Had to flag down a member of staff to take our order even tho the table next to us who came in after us were served before us! Drinks order was wrong, we waited over half an hour for our plates to be cleared to order some puddings & coffees which never happened. Not one member of staff even checked to see if everything with our food was ok.Had to go to the counter to ask for the bill! Paid & left. Won’t be returning

We are regulars at the Cricklade Club but usually forget to write a review. Today we ordered A Sunday Special which was pulled pork on wedges, melted cheese, with salsa, guacamole and sour cream - delicious - huge portions. Service is as always fabulous and friendly! Amazing staff. Nothing too much trouble. Gave us a box of cakes to take away - was the icing on the cake! We will be back again and again. Thanks xxx

We go to the Club every Sunday which I know shows a lack of imagination on my part but the breakfasts and brunches are wonderful. The Specials are available all day too and the food is always fabulous. The whole team are so friendly, attentive and such lovely people. The coffee is also so good that we order our beans from the same supplier now. There’s a large function room out back which is great for parties too with vintage motorbikes on display. We love this place and highly recommend it. Try the Eggs Under the Sea (you won’t regret it).

All four of us are veggies. Fantastic menu for vegan/vegetarian.GF diets. Not the usual pasta one-off option but a host of well thought out, creative dishes and very well presented. Meat dishes can be readily adapted to a veggie option.All food sourced as locally as possible and fresh. Great craft beers and lagers.Friendly, vibrant staff. Welcoming and informal. Not overly intrusive but appropriately attentive.Loved the ambience of the place. Also, town centre with free parking!Never having heard of the place before, I am not an investor!! One of our friends found it online. Really pleased with the find. Will definitel go back; can highly recommend. Our stay was two hours so not a flying visit and there was no pressure to move on.

Popped in here as a different type of venue and we both enjoyed the social vibe of the place. It is different and seems to act more like a community hub than the usual bar feel.

Booked for a Saturday lunch with parents and brother who live fairly locally. Really nice vibe and atmosphere, felt very relaxed and instantly at home. Great menu with lots of quirky options and loads of veggie choices. Between us we had cauliflower tacos, eggs down under and a bagel dish from the specials menu. Everyone enjoyed the food and it was all good value. Staff were attentive and friendly.....wish I lived nearer as think we'd be in there all the time!

What a find! A very unassuming front to the building on the high street, then you walk around the side to the entrance and you're greeted with a lovely facade of outside seating and huge indoor space. We arrived at 10am minutes after opening time on a Sunday and already quite busy, but the staff had everything under control. Coffee ordered within minutes of sitting, before returning to take food order at just the right time - ample time to decide (and choose cake for afterwards!). The coffee was perfection, and the breakfasts we both had utterly delicious. In total we were there for about an hour and didn't feel rushed or ignored at any point. We will absolutely be back and I will most likely now pop in for takeaway coffee when passing

My two sisters and I were excited about our birthday brunch - I was treating my sister for her birthday. I had been before and really enjoyed it but this time was so different. We sat in the corner on the sofas and basically we were forgotten for most of the two hours we were there. We waited at least 20 minutes before someone took my drinks order and so we ordered our food at the same time in case there was a similar wait. When the food arrived they explained that one of the french toast dishes had burnt so it would follow. I handed the dish to my sister and she noticed it was black on both sides. We sent it back of course. When wr both finally received our meals and tasted them , we were both underwhelmed. The french toast was thin and tasteless, some of the fruit they used was frozen and some fresh and the black currants were really sour. The whole dish needed sweetening and so I ended up using the packets of sugar to try and improve it. The yoghurt was obviously fat free and just didn’t have the flavour it needed. Even when we were ready to order second drinks we had to get up and ask for service. The coffee was unpleasantly strong as was the Earl grey tea. No one asked us how our food was so I thought I would leave this review instead

What a truly lovely place this is. Serving breakfast, evening meals and drinks during our stay in Cricklade. Each and every member of staff were fab! All very polite , helpful and attentive. Breakfast was delicious and the coffee choice was good. We really could t rate this place more highly

On the high street and shouldn't be as good as it is. Has become a regular place for coffee, lunch or evening meal. Well worth a vist. So popular parking can be an issue.

Been a number of times now and the food is still exceptional. Yes it’s a bit pricey (9.95 for eggs balmoral) but it is value for money I think. Decor and atmosphere great and staff clearly well trained and friendly.

Not being awful but the pubs in Cricklade aren't renowned for their great atmosphere. This is why this place stands out even more. It has a great atmosphere , music, and the staff work hard to make you feel welcome with a good choice of beers and cocktails. The only minor criticism is the food menu is a little overpriced for what it is and I suggest the price of the food doesn't quite connect with the setting. Bring your prices down slightly and make the menu a little more contemporary and reflective of the environment.

A really fabulous place. Day three of four along the Thames Path, it made a lovely change to all the pubs. We came and had few cocktails and they all delicious! Everyone was really friendly and we had a lovely time. If you are passing through Cricklade, the Cricklade Club is a must visit!

Very attentive staff, often checking everything was enjoyable. Quick service, quickly rectified a small mistake when a requested add-on was forgotten. Lovely coffees, lots of choice for a delicious brunch. I enjoyed scrambled eggs, bacon, spinach and smoked cheddar whilst my friend had French sourdough bread, compote and fruit as pictured. Looking forward to my next visit Highly recommended.

Regular visitors but have seen a gradual decline in quality of food and definitely customer service. Just finished our food when we were told we had to vacate our pre booked table as tables are turned round after 75 minute. When you ask for customers patience as all food is freshly prepared then you need to consider that with your bookings.

Despite being very busy and our not having booked, the staff went out of their way to accommodate our party of 8 which needed 2 tables of 4, Quality of the food was also very good.

From the moment you walk in the customer service is top notch. Covid safe friendly service with a good selection of drinks and amazing food. Decor is amazing and feels like a special day/ night out. Cannot wait to come back. Thanks guys!

Impressive service and venue in a charming little Cotswold town. We were a party of 13 cyclist who dropped in for late morning coffee and snacks. Despite not booking we were greeted warmly and served amazing rapidly by a delightful team including Sara who checked we all had what we wanted. Coffee top notch as was the bacon sandwich. We visit numerous cafes in the Cotswolds on a weekly basis and this one impressed everyone and is my personal favourite now. I will return for a full meal ASAP.

Lovely decor, friendly buzzing atmosphere, tasty food with a focus on local fresh produce. They offer a set breakfast menu (always yummy! With fresh bread) and then have a specials board with 5-6 yummy options, they offer homemade cakes, coffees, gins and lots of beers.Lovely place for a brunch

An old social club repurposed as a great coffee shop and restaurant. We ate their twice, once for Sunday Brunch and again for a light lunch. The brunch menu was varied, well presented and pleasantly presented and served.The lunch menu was varied and according to the waiter, there were specials every day.All the food we had was of a high standard, sufficient and very well priced.Each evening, there are different themes and whilst we were not able to try any of the evening menus, I have no doubt that they would be of the same high standard.

Had a great evening yesterday for the football. The food and service were top class, Jake and Asha were always there making sure you didn’t have to wait long for drinks too, even having sticks with “Beer Pls” on so they could see you needed a drink! 5*, definitely worth a visit, football or not!

We came to watch the football, and it was a brilliant night! The staff were so attentive, Jake and Asha were topping up our drinks every time we raised the beer sticks we were issued! Wonderful idea!!!! The food was delicious and arrived perfectly at half time! Our friends loved the experience and we will be back! Thank you - a must visit and a great venue!

Booked today for a Sunday Brunch and was a bit surprised to see that recent reviews were poor. Relieved, and not surprised at all that the food, service and atmosphere were all excellent as always. Thank you!

Popped in for dinner on Friday evening and had a great time, our waitress was so helpful and the food was perfect. We're definitely coming back and thanks again.

I just popped in here for a spot of lunch with my wife and daughter. They were relatively busy and it took 10 minutes before our order was taken, which was fair enough. After another 15 minutes I became conscious of the time as I needed to be back home for a meeting, so I asked if we could have the food made up for takeaway instead, which they said was OK.After another 5 minutes, I paid for the entire order, but only two out of the three meals were ready and I'd run out of time, so I said not to worry about the third one (my meal), and I'd just take the food for my wife and daughter.What I found completely unacceptable at this point was for the blonde woman in the kitchen to start shouting at me in the middle of the restaurant that "this is a restaurant, we are busy and you've only been waiting for 20 minutes!" and then to have all the other staff looking around saying "what's happening!"Frankly, it was humiliating and completely unnecessary. I'd paid for the meal, I accepted that they were busy and that time had gotten away from us. It goes without saying that we won't ever be returning to this place.

What has happened?We have just been in for tea/ coffee and cake and we were gobsmacked by the awful service and possibly the worst tea I have ever had.Once our order had finally been taken, the lady serving us proceeded to go off and have an ice cream.The other members of staff were sat outside enjoying a nice beer!!When our order finally arrived, once she had finished her icecream, the tea must have been stewing all this time. We couldn't be bothered to ask for another as any normal person wouldn't have served the tea as bad as that.We would have understood if it was busy however there were only two other tables occupied.Two stars because the Brownies were nice, a bit dry but nice.
