I Have Visited The Pelican Inn On Two Occasions, Whilst Waiting For A Bus. The Landlady Is So Incredibly Kind To Me, Just Letting Me Use The Ladies Toilet's. I Have To Say They Are Incredibly Clean, Smell Absolutely Beautiful. I Have On Both Visits Left A Donation To Wiltshire Air Ambulance, A Worthwhile Cause. What A Beautiful Lady, Am Going To make A Concerted Effort To Visit For A Meal With Family.

We have visited the Pelican several times. This time we called in for a beer while waiting for the bus. Lovely dog friendly pub with a good selection of beers. Lovely staff. Well worth a visit.

I loved this pub! It is a typical locals pub. Coal fire burning, locals playing euchre and a landlady that has been there for decades, at a guess. The landlady was friendly and welcoming. Excellent pint of Guinness.

Friendly, happy landlady, barmaid and YTS student Nancy, makes this pub rock! Food plentiful and fresh. We had a Christmas party and just a get together party, on both occasions the food was yummy, and plentiful. Good things come in small places and this place nails it. Thank-you Pelly

Good twin room. Nice shower. Location spoilt by roadworks, rubbish bins, locked front door and service , apart from a kind reception, non existent. Lack of parking in issue.

We only spent a night at the Pelican Inn but wished we'd stayed longer. It's in a great spot in the centre of town and is a fabulous place to stay with lots of parking nearby. We received a warm welcome from our attentive host and we were shown to our chalet-type room off a lovely courtyard at the back of the pub. We had a key to the courtyard gate so we could choose whether to come in through the pub. The room was superb, sparkling clean, beautiful decor and they really had thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. The wifi signal was great in the room, the beds were comfy and the noise from outside was minimal.

Really lovely bar maid and great choice of lilies cider. Shame the owner is stuck up and made it very clear that she was the owner and that we should not be eating chips in their pub court yard despite the multiple rounds of drink we had purchased. And the fact we had asked the bar maid for permission plus that they were also not serving food. Made an enjoyable experience very uncomfortable and for an owner in the trade her public relationship skills have a lot to be desired.

Very impressed by the standard of food for both these takeaway meals. The Valentine's Day one was a 3 course Sunday lunch with great roast beef and excellent range of fresh vegetables, awesome home-cured salmon as a starter and a Sticky Toffee Pudding dessert. This led us to try the Cuban Night with again 3 amazing courses, all very authentic with delicious Ropa, (spicy pasty) Prawn Sofritas and excellent creme caramel type flan for dessert. Cannot recommend too highly.

A seemingly freshly decorated room. Keeping some olde worlde charm. Had some problems with the Internet connection speed - used to fibre and 5G, spoilt 🙃 - but improved a little after a restart ( thank you ). Even though over the towns (good) pub quiet and peaceful. Many thanks, it was a good base to visit the surrounding area.

Awful, disappointing coffee which cost £3 and was scalding hot from a machine. Can not recommend. The only saving grace is the lemon tart which is the sole reason for my visiting this bakery, as they are exquisite, so that I can recommend. Overall, nice place with a good selection but I was massively disappointed with this coffee, it was foul. You can actually see how weak and pathetic it is in the picture, please for the love of all that is good in this world, PLEASE stop serving people this sort of pitiful excuse for a coffee when you have such quality baked goods to pair it with, it makes no sense.
