Very nice food,friendly staff and love the fact you can bring your dog.

If you want a Sunday Lunch make sure that you book a table before 14:00hrs. Staff are very good and friendly especially Ashleigh.

Very nice pub all round. Parking on site is a bit of a premium, so advise to arrive early/car share. The interior is nicely lit, spacious and comfortable. The service was great, all the waiters and waitresses answered any questions without fuss and we're extremely helpful, well done all! The food... OMG the food is just perfect. The choices are very traditional and definitely cater for just about any age range, from 5 - 85. The desserts are simply divine. Overall, I cannot fault this place, very impressive and will definitely have to go again

Friendly staff, especially Paula, food always good. Dog friendly in most areas. Best to book in advance, especially at weekends, but have been accommodated before without a booking. Can be difficult to park, especially at known busy times i.e. Sunday lunchtime etc, as the carpark also services a few shops.

Clean and pleasant place. Our waitress, Paula, was polite and friendly. Lovely atmosphere and the food was very tasty 😋 Will definitely go back again! I had the Mac n cheese with pulled pork topping and garlic bread. My friend had the fish and chips.

We were served by Paula, she was great, very attentive but didnt bug you every 5 minutes. We weren't waiting long and the food was great.

We celebrated my daughter’s 16th birthday at Water Meadow with 30 family members of all ages. From the moment I pre-booked, the staff were incredibly helpful, answering all my questions quickly and making the whole process seamless. On the day, everything ran smoothly, and the team went above and beyond to accommodate us. While the food was decent, it didn’t quite reach a 5-star level. However, the overall experience, service, and atmosphere made it a fantastic celebration. Would definitely recommend for a stress-free event!

Couldn't of wished for more. All my family had a great time and were very happy with the superb food and quality of service.

Both times going this month the Milk jugs have had huge chips and cracks in them. also you have to share one small milk jug between two people so I have to try not taking to much of the milk first.

It is a good place to visit, easy access, usually some parking, although this can be an issue. I like the layout and when bringing my grandchildren, there are things to amuse and occupy them. Staff were pleasant and helpful, our server was a lovely young woman. The only problem I had today, and on my previous visit, was that the food tasted great but was pretty much cold! The chips were luke warm and the kebab meat was the same, yet the flatbread was hot(?). Such a shame because it made it rather unpleasant overall. Sort this out and it would have been a 5* review!

Lovely staff. Taken to table. But when my drink was delivered to my table the waitress slammer my drink down very hard on the table. Didn't even say a word to me and my friends. We waited ages for our food. When the food arrived. My burger was a bit dry and it was burnt. No one came to our table to ask if we were OK or if the food was OK. But they went to every other table and asked them. And both me and my friend had burgers and there was no burger sauce on our plates even though on the menu it says they come with your burger sauce. Please ask your staff not to slam drinks down in front of your customers. I found it very rude.

We upgraded to cheesy chips with one of our meals & normal chips arrived, this was rectified very quickly by the staff member who couldn't be more apologetic.

This pub has improved greatly .I have moved so that I am now close to it and I often incorporate walking my dog with stopping off here for food or a drink.The thing that has impressed me here is it is never too much trouble to just make me a coffee whilst I take rest with the dog .They do not make you feel guilty that it's just a coffee for one never any attitude which is different to some other places in melksham.Quiet or busy they very welcoming and accommodating.

A disappointing visit last Saturday. We always come to the watermeadow for birthday celebrations and sit in the family dining area, we have been doing this for years and have always been happy here and have always received friendly waiter service. We booked a table of 12 and on arrival were informed that we had to order our food on the app, this which was difficult for some of the members of our party so instead I took the order and went up to order, I felt like I was doing someone’s job for them and this wasn’t a relaxing experience. There were no problems with the food, however we were not offered additional drinks throughout our meal either, we didn’t really see anyone during our visit. We were told that they no longer offer table service in the family dining area however when we visited in December we did receive table service and when we booked a large table online we felt we should have been informed that there would be no table service beforehand. Not what we were expecting this time.

Came in here on Wednesday evening with my family. The place is clean and the staff were friendly. The food was very good, 2 steaks, a chilli & a burger. It’s a shame we have to drive to Melksham, when there is a similar chain nearby in Trowbridge run by Marstons.

Very pleasant staff from the moment we walked in. Very friendly and checked that all was ok. 1st time we have esten and been there. Will go again.

Another great meal and evening out at the Watermeadow. This place never fails us. Always guaranteed a warm welcome and yummy food. Great staff, friendly and extremely hard working. Paula is constantly making sure everyone and everything is OK, very efficient service and always with a smile. Wednesday night, Curry Night, is a firm favourite and always a delight. We love coming here. Great staff, great food and pleasant atmosphere.

Visited as a party of 17, booked online with no problems and confirmation of booking instantly. We offered to prebook our food but they never replied to our email. Food arrived quickly and was hot. Waitress was busy but did not have any interaction with our group. We would go back again.

Great food,great service and great value. We all had the Sunday roast which filled us up thoroughly. Only slight niggle was that we didn't get enough of the roasted carrots which were delicious!

We attended on a Saturday night at 7.30pm and the place was extremely busy and very noisy. However once the early eaters left it was quieter and then easier to sit and chat over our meal. The food was delicious and the steaks cooked to our liking. Paula was very attentive and checked in with us for extra drinks etc. This was our second visit and we would recommend.

Always lovely to meet up with friends in the Water meadow. The food is good and the servers most attentive..it’s convenient with lots of parking.. we will be coming back.. thank you
