Brilliant Sunday roast. We opted for the 2 people sharing option with the fillet steak which was all very tasty and cooked brilliantly. Plenty of extra gravy if required and were made to feel very welcome from the outset of our visit. Would recommend and will definitely return when back in the area!

I regularly walk the dog on Painswick beacon and have been trying to find a coffee stop nearby. Came across the Painswick Pooch and it has become a Sunday ritual of mine, the perfect place for a rest and coffee. Cakes are to die for and the staff are lovely and so welcoming. Not to mention Jasmine has treats even time we come, safe to say we will now be regulars!

Busy but friendly little cafe. One of the best decaff coffees that I’ve had and my mother loved her fruit scone and the generous serving of butter. Would definitely return as the rest of the food looked delicious too.

For mum s birthday was delicious and after being diagnosed gluten free with the dr the week before this was not a problem the cafe catered for myself and it was delicious my only sadness is I don’t live closer it’s a hour away out worth the drive and I’ll be back

We were a party of 3 and visited The Red Lion for lunch on Easter Sunday. The pub looked lovely with Easter eggs hanging from the lights and a decorated Easter tree in the corner. The food was amazing and the staff lovely and so attentive. My husband had the nachos to start and they were brilliant. For the main I had the roast lamb and my elderly mother and husband had the beef and it was all cooked to perfection. We especially took note of the unusual vegetables - baked beetroot! Fabulous! The puddings were unique too and I had the vanilla and rhubarb cheesecake which again, was delicious. All in all everything about our lunch today was EGGCELLENT! Thank you Rosetta and your staff we will definitely be back x John, Belinda and Brenda from Uley

Thursday 24/04/2025:- My first visit to the Corner House since it moved from its original site on the London Road to Union Street (previously Birch). Shared a seafood platter for lunch with a friend which was very nice. Our server Antonio was personable and very helpful. Not many customers despite the restaurant offering 25% off food. The autistics are challenging with other people's chatter and laughter reverberating around the room. Not for the hard-of-hearing.

We have wanted to dine at Williams Kitchen but never arranged to, WOW, we all experienced a very enjoyable evening, 3 x swordfish which was extremely good and I ordered the lobster which so nice, finished with some very pleasant dessert’s and coffee. A very nice Pouilly Fume to accompany the food. Staff were very friendly and polite, huge compliments to the chef and kitchen staff. Quite expensive but so worth it. Thankfully we live quite local.

Stopped off here as we had an hour spare before going to the cinema - really glad we did! The staff were really nice - all really friendly and made us feel welcome as they got a table ready (it was busy, despite the town itself being quiet at the time - this is a good sign!) We both ate and had a drink - my wife had tea and I had a coffee - both really good. But it was the food that stood out - particularly the Haloumi, Spinach and humous toastie! Thoroughly enjoyed it all and definitely going to return next time we are in W-u-E (we travelled over from Cheltenham). A new addition to must-visit list for the town for us!

We stayed at the rooms and enjoyed the 8 course tasting menu. The food was prepared with great skill and attention to detail. Everything was very tasty and the wine matches were interesting. The staff and chef were very knowledgeable and passionate about the food and service. No liquid nitrogen or gimmicks just well cooked and presented food.

Had the loveliest meal in a really relaxed setting, all 3 courses were delicious, we all said we have to keep coming back until we have tried everything on the menu. My one bit of advice would be to maybe not serve the wine on the menu next to where you can buy it on the shelf as the mark up is just looking you in the face.
