Falcon Inn in Stroud

What an excellent place. We arrived without a booking one afternoon to find they were almost fully booked, but they managed to squeeze us in. Really good range of choices on the menu. We both had fillet steak which were cooked to perfection and the side orders were just as good. The service was excellent . Make sure you book a table.

We had a very good meal out as a family being so very well welcomed by the staff. The food was very good we very much enjoyed ourselves. Highly recommend the falcon steaks to die for.

Very over priced Sunday lunch , 2 people with extra of coli cheese - £30.50 per head for 1 couse. Roast potatoes over done and creamy leek was mush and full of garlic. For £30 per head , 1 course it needed to be excellent and wow factor which it certainly wasn't . For a restaurant that so say has a reputation for being the best I can't agree. If you serve lunch from 12pm to 3.15pm the quality if food should be the same from start to finish, over cooked potatoes is not what you expect for a very expensive 1 course lunch.

Lovely welcome, great service and the food was outstanding and excellent quality. Would highly recommend for great British produce and a lovely experience.

Our daughter had been a couple of times and said how good it was and so we booked a table for 5pm. Arrived early and was welcomed and seated where we had a leisurely drink prior to our order being taken. We both had steaks and it was served exactly as ordered and was outstanding. On coming to pay they had added a service charge and we were politely asked if we were happy with this, which we were.

The food is excellent and the staff are great. It’s a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. We had a fabulous visit. We will definitely recommend to family and friends.

The absolute best Sunday dinner of my life! The portions were generous, there was plenty of gravy which is a winner for me! There is nothing negative I could say, even if someone paid me too! It was amazing. The roast potatoes were fresh and not frozen - which is an absolute first for me when going out for a Sunday dinner. The creamed cabbage and leeks was delicious! The pudding was amazing as well. We were honestly so blown away by the food, I would come back every Sunday if I could. 10/10! Incredible. Ruined Sunday dinners going forward ... couldn't beat that if I tried!

Having been to The Falcon several times and been absolutely delighted with their superb ‘proper’ steaks as opposed to supermarket pre-packed, we decided to try their extraordinarily reasonably prices lunch deal. Once again it was superb in every way. The steaks and the personal service from their lovely staff was enough to make it a regular favourite. Just love the 3 cheese Macaroni side dish. This is a gem of a place and you should so eat here. Booked here on the off chance and so glad I did. Welcoming, friendly and you’re treated like you’re the only person in the place. A small issue with a dish, swiftly put right and beyond my expectations. Excellent food, friendly service and you’ll want to go back the next day.

Visited the falcon steakhouse for a family birthday, and had an amazing experience. We were served by Jim and Lucy, and they were great! Very attentive, helpful, polite- they added to the experience. We were a large party with a large order and it was all correct, gorgeous food and our servers made it even more of an enjoyable experience. Arguably the best steak I have ever had! Would highly reccomend and will definitely be returning!

We’ve have been coming here for years as a couple, but we came with friends this time, we have told them for a long time that it is by far the best steak they will ever eat. It didn’t disappoint. You always worry when you recommend somewhere incase people don’t agree. But everyone had an amazing meal. Our waitress Holly was so lovely, friendly and such fun. Steaks were perfectly cooked, side dishes were lush!! Thank you Falcon for a lovely evening of delicious food and laughter.

We visited here to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary and had been told about it several times . Wow it was all amazing, the food and the service. I would recommend it and definitely will be visiting again. We shared the 18oz steak for 2 platter which included 2 starters and 2 deserts which was 99.95. It was well worth the money.

Have been visiting for ten years and the steaks never fail to disappoint, in fact they get better. Our sirloin steaks were tender and tasted superb. Although there has been some staff changes over the years they all know how to be polite and interested in their customers. The owner, Andy, runs a great ship.

Enjoyed an excellent lunch. The set menu includes 3 choices of starters, 5 mains and 3 desserts. You can choose 1, 2 or 3 courses for a very reasonable price of £13.95, £16.95 and £19.95 respectively. Food was very well presented and tasty. Waiting staff were outstanding being both helpful and very friendly. Eclectic range of real ales on offer. Great ambience in the restaurant ensured a most pleasant dining experience.

This get 5 stars for having one of the tastiest burgers I have ever eaten. Just popped in for a quick drink as in the area visiting relatives. Decided to get the burger as a snack. Just 2 patties in a soft bun and loads of melted cheese - no other nonsense like horrid pickles, limp lettuce or a flaccid slice of flavourless tomato. YUM

Genuinely the BEST roast dinner I’ve ever had, homemade or otherwise. The beef was cooked to absolute perfection and I couldn’t fault any part of the meal. I was gutted we were too full for puddings as we know from being here over the years how amazing the desserts are! Will 1000% be back for another roast in the future.
