Wow pistachio cream profiteroles, heavenly. Scallops and seafood linguine strongly recommended , absolutely delicious. My husband had the goats cheese parcel and steak also excellent. Great ambience and lively bar with superb cocktails, the pornstar martini is the best I have tasted, and I have tried a few! but the food is just outstanding. I wish I could visit more often.

Great food, great staff, loved the atmosphere and the cocktails were amazing. Definitely recommend to anyone in the area. Happy days!!!

A superb lunch from their Christmas specials menu, delicious and well presented.The rabbit Ballantine was a great starter followed by the slow cooked brisket eight of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals .Some of us indulged with cocktails which were pronounced to be delicious . Will certainly be returning

An unexpected revelation , very friendly welcome from behind the bar and shown to our table with drinks following promptly . A short but we’ll thought out menu that looks after all diets . A hearty bean & sausage soup was packed with warming flavours and served with wonderfully warm fresh bread . A warm goats cheese & chargrilled med veg focaccia had top quality ingredients with an excellent salad . Interesting selection of wines and beers and finally a perfectly presented short black americano . A really good atmosphere from a local crowd at the bar just added to a well spent Saturday lunch catching up with friends . Many thanks to all . At The Corner House .

Light, bright and airy. A warm welcome and appropriately attentive server who referred an unusual allergen to her chef. Generous portions, very adequate menu with vegetarian & GF options (sorry didn’t check vegan). One of the best homemade beefbugers I’ve tried - tasty, moist and a lovely halumi topping. Nice sharing platters, then sorbet went down very well. Recommend for ambience, service, cooking, menu and situation. Multi-storey 3mins away.

This was our first time visit, we had a fabulous lunch. Really enjoyable. The service was great and the menu choices are brilliant. Something for everyone. Everyone in our party throughly enjoyed their food. Definitely will go back.

Excellent food, service & atmosphere. This was our first visit & definitely won't be our last, the service was great, very friendly & efficient. The food was cooked to perfection, I had the steak & my partner had the sea bass, which were both excellent dishes. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic food, great value for money, service superb and great atmosphere. My only regret is not having found this place sooner! My guest and I started with the vegetarian sharing platter - Impressive to look at and even better to taste! I then had the Seabass, which was perfectly cooked and the accompanying beetroot purée was divine! The service was friendly, attentive and very professional. In fact the whole restaurant had a lovely relaxed friendly feeling to it. Will definitely be returning very soon!

Went there on Thursday with my girlfriend, the restaurant was quite full but the atmosphere and the service was up to a restaurant expectations! We had a proper seared scallops witch were cooked to perfection and the steak as well ! We will definitely return !

We travelled to the Cotswolds for a holiday and checked Trip Advisor for restaurants in Stroud - I liked the look of The Corner House so asked our Airbnb host who said they go a lot and recommended it. We were not disappointed (not in the slightest)! The place has a lovely ambiance, really great staff (and manager/owner), gorgeous cocktails (their Pornstar Martini is the best I’ve tasted) and the food was absolutely amazing! We stayed locally for 8 nights and ate here for 2 evenings and 1 lunch it was that good! Highly recommend!

Always good at the Corner House and the quality of the food seems to have gone up a level. Had the monkfish main and it was so delicious. Always a great atmosphere and the service is impeccable.

Sorry to say it was a pretty underwhelming experience - we were expecting great things from the excellent reviews online but found it rather lacking. The very pricey menu is not reflected in the dining area, and whilst one member of staff was lovely and attentive, the other made it feel a bit like a competition to catch his eye to order some dessert, so in the end we decided to just get the bill and go. We had the antipasti sharing platter, and while the meats, buffalo mozarella and bread were good quality, we felt the portions of each were wrong. For two people there was hardly any bread, which meant leftover pate with nothing to put it on. For £19 a platter we couldn’t see why it was this way. Definitely could have been a better experience.

Not 100% sure what to expect as we looked for somewhere to eat in Stroud. We came across this place perched on a corner as we headed out of town. So glad we decided to give it a go. Food was great, excellent atmosphere and relaxed but efficient service.

Finally managed to get back to the corner House after all the restrictions and it was great to be back. The service was as always amazingly friendly and welcoming, the Gravlax was 'out of this world' and the bouillabaisse was 'to die for' I had forgotten just how good the food here is. My husband enjoyed his brisket burger too!

Stroud is not exactly bursting with quality restaurants. The Corner House is one to aim for and provides sound hospitality and produces an interesting menu. There is a good selection of starters and one of us had the asparagus and the other the beetroot and butternut squash fresh salad. Mains included steak, sea bass, chicken in various forms. We had the sharing platter of mixed fish and it was excellent.Good wine and beer was available and it is noted for its cocktails.

My boyfriend and I got recommended this restaurant on our visit to the Cotswolds, and I'm so glad we did. We made a booking and got welcomed by the loveliest staff. We were seated at the bar to begin with and enjoyed a nice cocktail. We then enjoyed one of the nicest meals we have both ever had. Kai had the most amazing lamb chops and I enjoyed the chicken supreme. I could not recommend this place enough, it really was the highlight of our trip.

I’ve eaten here 4 times and haven’t had a bad mouthful. I had sea-bass the other night which was the best meal I’ve had in years. They do a mean cocktail too. Highly recommended.

Visiting family, my partner and I decided to try here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. We had had lunch here on a previous visit, which was delicious, so we had high hopes.Ordered the Full English - when the enormous platter arrived, even my partner was impressed by the quantity of food. But the quality was also first class. Beautiful meaty sausages, crisp bacon, succulent mushrooms, perfectly fried eggs. Plus crispy hash browns and tasty tomatoes, a spicy round of black pudding and just the right amount of beans. My only criticism is there is no choice of bread - we would both have preferred wholemeal or granary to the white ciabatta, but that is a minor point. My partner awarded this his first ever 10/10. Will definitely return

Wanted to dine locally - very busy - which I guess is a good sign. Prices appear to have crept up, however the menu appealed but the deserts were less inspiring. The main course was very salty and I would have preferred to add my own gravy. Service was excellent however the waiter should ditch the ripped jeans. Overall, enjoyable evening.

Had a fantastic lunch here yesterday. Contemporary bar bistro that’s light and airy. Friendly service. Fairly limited menu - had the garlic buttered prawn, calamari and chorizo open sandwich with salad and chips which was delicious. Good wine served in nice glasses and reasonably priced. Would really recommend.

Deliciosa comida que tiene una excelente relación calidad-precio. Tuve el Penne Milanese y mi marido tenía el jamón cocido con mostaza y queso derretido ciabatta servido con patatas fritas, ambos eran excelentes y las porciones generosas. Las selecciones de vinos y cervezas son buenas y el personal es amable y atento. El ambiente es relajado, con música que suena tranquilamente en el fondo. Creo que este es un buen lugar para parejas y también grupos de familiares / amigos. ¡Definitivamente vamos a volver!

This venue is next to a large car park and has a balcony at the end. We visited for breakfast, opted for eggs Benedict on a huge brioche roll. It was delicious and served with salad, making it a perfect brunch. The staff were friendly and efficient. Great coffee. Would highly recommend

I have enjoyed a few lovely quiet evenings in the Corner House and sampled their lovely food and drink; I was a fan, but unfortunately I made the mistake of visiting on a very busy Saturday evening the other weekend.

We have been meaning to try the Corner House for a couple of years now, but never got round to making a booking. Yesterday we decided to go to Stroud Vue to se a film, and follow up with a meal in town, so we booked for 8pm.

First time visit, early welcomed. Free bread and olives while you wait. Lovely sharing platters. Lovely quiet atmosphere and music. Will come again.

If you are looking for great service great atmosphere and amazing food for the larger group booking then this is the place for you.

Lovely atmosphere, excellent food of great quality. Only negative on paying the bill with cash didn't like to be asked by the waiter " do you want any change ". Leaving a tip to which we did should be your choice and not made to feel pressured.

I would have given this restaurant five stars but unfortunately the service let this restaurant down. The food was delicious and all four of us were delighted with what we'd ordered but the staff seemed more interested in interacting with each other than providing an attentive service to the guests. The Corner House is part cocktail bar, part restaurant; it was fairly quiet on a Tuesday evening with some lively music in the bar. The waiter was solicitous and took care of my partner's dietary requirements. My monkfish wrapped in bacon was a fairly small portion, but came with a delicious ratatouille. My partner's hake was better value with prawns, vegetables and plenty of egg noodles.

On a Tuesday night in Stroud there aren't a huge amount of options to dine out, but it doesn't matter because The Corner House is open and therefore a delicious meal is in store. With a fairly varied menu, and there are always a couple of tempting specials. You can enjoy a well made cocktail at the friendly bar, and the wine list has all the favourites. Food always perfectly cooked, and a steady regular staff ensure that your night runs smoothly. Highly recommended.

Popped in for breakfast and was a bit taken back that it was £10 for a Full English but when it came I was blown away. I travel regularly all over the world and UK for business and I must say, this is the best breakfast I ever remember having. It was huge and amazing... I’m a bit of a food critic in my spare time so take it from me presentation, flavour, quality, temperature all spot on. A really nice surprise and highly recommended. Washed down with a glass of Prosecco. Highly recommended and what a lovely place.

This was our first visit to The Corner House. We went for Sunday lunch recently on the occasion of a family birthday. I have to say the total experience was excellent. We were well looked after by friendly and attentive staff, and the food was delicious. We all had the Sunday Roast - a choice of beef, lamb, pork or chicken, and between the six of us present we sampled all four options! And an additional important aspect as far as I am concerned - the gravy was wonderful! Also a good selection of wines. We will definitely return, and quite possibly on a Sunday again!

Myself and my partner have had consistently good food here and the service has always been on point, the only thing I can fault is the house white.

I have tried some of everything Corner House has going on, from lunches, dinners to the top-stocked bar with perfect cocktails and live DJ nights of dancing. All of it has been fantastic and of the top restaurants in Stroud, no one else has the chic and good veggie food they do. The only place I recommend!

My husband and I split an amazing burger (with chips and salad) and left fully satisfied. The burger was really good, generously sized with a nice bun and good seasoning. The staff were great and the room was filled with light and happy people enjoying platters of food and good conversation. I’ll definitely return.

We’ve been a few times. The food is always exceptional, particularly the seafood. The service is very good. You just have to get past the fact that it looks a tiny bit like a transport café from the outside.

Went here with friends for a couple of drinks on a Friday night. Staff were friendly and welcoming and there was a great selection of very tasty cocktails.

This is my second dinner here, the first time I had braised beef on mash and it was amazing. This time I had the Seafood sharing platter - all to myself. It was tops. I ate most of it, sharing some of the moulles with my son. It would have been a fab starter for 2 people.....I ate everything but was struggling....but I cannot waste food. The kids menu is good, but I do think they should not put a salad with balsamic dressing, instead they should be served with peas, carrots, sweet corn, or broccoli. The service is the best in town!

We made a reservation for 7pm. As we got there the table was in a dirty area which normally was not used. There was no option but to walk away. As we left - the waiter was also rude and impertinent.

I called in here today with my sister for a coffee after walking by looking for an open cafe! We had originally intended on having a Sunday lunch elsewhere, but everywhere was fully booked. We browsed the menu just out of interest really as we hadn't been before, and saw that they do Sunday lunch! I ordered turkey and my sister ordered pork, and it was awesome. Great portion, not too expensive and absolutely delicious.

This was our first lunchtime visit to The Corner House, and we would recommend to others and return ourselves. The place was nicely buzzing with diners, and we were looked after promptly with menus and drinks. The open sandwiches were very nicely presented, the steak and salmon were well cooked and the salad trimmings were very decorative. We liked the ambiance and pleasant approach of the staff who are keen to please and ensure that guests are looked after.

Really nice restaurant found through trip advisor and I would have given 5 stars if my food was served hot. I ordered the duck Breast and my wife had the monk fish risotto. Her food was incredible and mine looked incredible only it was luke warm. I should have sent it back but then I would have waited while my wife was eating and it would have affected the atmosphere of the evening. I ate it quicker than I would have liked especially as it wasn’t cheap. But the antipasti starter was incredible. Decor and friendliness was really nice.

This is a must visit great food service and a friendly atmosphere . Always a great buzz not the cheapest but always great quality

Nothing will ever beat the food and service I have had at the corner house.
