Brilliant service during lunch on a Saturday. Very accommodating. Lovely people. Would recommend :)

recently steve and jules have made j rools really awesome- san miguel on draft and a better price than a lot of other places in town. they are also really fun people. the court yard outside is gorgeous like being on holiday. really lovely place to go!

Called in here on Saturday for a drink with my wife and a friend having seen their posts on Facebook. We sat in the courtyard garden and ordered drinks from the young, but highly capable staff. We saw others having lunch and, seeing the quality coming out of the kitchen, decided we would too. We ordered the bacon, brie and cranberry sandwich which came with crisps and coleslaw and two prawn cocktails. They were all delicious! This place is also dog friendly and our dog was offered a gluten free sausage on the house. We also met the owners who came over to have a chat. All in all this was a fantastic experience and I would highly recommend a visit.

Steve and Jules are amazing and generous hosts who make you feel very welcome. The courtyard is gorgeous and the food is amazing... Highly recommended

Lovely little hide away in Stroud. Bar service was excellent as was the food . Had a great laugh with the staff & the chef was hilarious when he came out & asked what we thought about the food. Would go back any time I visited Stroud again . Top spot.

Great drinks, reasonably priced, and so much more. The owners Julie and Steve are so friendly and are truly special. I came into town on foot with two bags on my shoulders and stopped in for Wi-Fi and a beer. I ended up talking with them for over an hour just laughing away. They called me a cab so I wouldn’t have to walk to my air B and B. I felt so welcomed, tourists and locals alike must check out this place!

Owners were so friendly when we came for Sunday afternoon drinks. The garden out back is gorgeous and all very relaxed. Thanks again!

Absoloutely beautiful place , amazing food so delicious and really nice to be able to chat to the chef... she was a real gem ! I would highly recommend to anyone , warm atmosphere and everyone is so welcoming, a hidden treasure in Stroud. Julie and Steve thank you , it was a pleasure and we will definitely be returning !

More than just a pub. A community venture. Julie and Steve have created a haven for the people of Stroud in the middle of a beautiful courtyard. Wonderful food, superb staff and a respectful atmosphere. Fabulous music and good vibrations. You won't find better in Stroud. Andrew x

Frendly cafe' / restaurant. Nice, well cooked food.

We first stumbled across this restaurant during the fringe festival back in August when we moved here. We liked it so much, we went back on the second day. We've been back to visit a couple of times since and everything is as perfect as it was then. The customer service is always outstanding, the food is super scrummy, we just wish you were open more often! Thank you for your amazing hospitality and super tasty food!

I had a very unpleasant experience in this restaurant this morning. I was refused hot water to weaken my green tea and as I was paying before leaving I commented that other cafes in Stroud did give this service. I was told 'It is alright if you don't want to come again' then the cashier gave the OMG eyes up at other waitresses standing by who giggled! I will certainly not be recommending nor visiting this place again.

This is a real gem of a place to be. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. Been here many times, Saturday 's for coffee & cake , they are always so happy & friendly. Food is excellent & service. You MUST COME & TRY IT FOR YOUR SELF. A dimond of the cotswolds in stroud. LISA.

Delicious food, very calm and peaceful atmosphere and the staff were all very friendly! All in all a wonderful meal - would definitely recommend.

Arrived quite late and the staff couldn't do enough for us! Put together some top dishes from what was left available in the kitchen and served with a smile. Will be visiting again next time we're in town
