Visited here today and will definitely be visiting again, the breakfast I had was amazing value with really good quality bacon and sausages and the service is excellent the gentleman told me.they had not long taken over the business, they really do deserve to do well because so much effort as definitely been put in,much better then all the big chain eateries that are in town

Visited yesteray with a group of friends. Each ordering a number of different things. The menu is varied and they have a very good selection of healthy options . Some of the group ordered the healthy breakfast which looked delicious. Some had cake and scones. Lovely friendly service from the staff, and yummy food. Would definitely recommend worth a visist.

A lovely place that has a great atmosphere, great decor, excellent music and lovely staff. The food was perfect and the Oat milk latte is the best I’ve EVER had. (I’ve had a few!) It was my daughter’s 30th birthday and she wanted to try this place. When a member of the team discovered it was my daughter’s birthday they placed some lit birthday candles on her food. Such a nice touch. The food and drink is reasonably priced and the service was top notch too, We’ll be back!

Luckily got a table early here before a concert. I think it’s advisable to book. Really tasty Persian food. We chose the tapas dishes so we chose a few dishes. Excellent and I would recommend going here. Not formal nice and casual. A great find in Plymouth and close to the university site.

A smashing little 'no frills' outdoor food provider on the Hoe situated inside a little fort/turret. Having walked a long way on a very warm day I was in need of a drink and bite to eat. What better than a cuppa and a bacon buttie, sitting outside and looking over Plymouth Sound, served up by a lovely gentleman - all for under £6. Thank you

I don't like writing poor reviews, but always try to keep a balanced view on any experience we have, reporting the good, the bad and the ugly. We called in at Rise & Grind for coffee to take away having been for a wander on Plymouth Hoe. Long queues out of the door so took a while to get served, had to repeat 3 times that we wanted our drinks to take away (a double espresso and a cappucino) - we were told 'we'll bring the drinks over to you' so stepped outside, the princely sum of just over £6 being taken. 5 minutes passed, then 10, then at around 15 minutes our drinks came out. My double espresso barely warm and the cappucino in a very small takeaway cup (I'd guess around 200ml instead of the usual 400ml 'standard'). Before this could be queried the lady serving had bustled off somwhere, so we cut our losses and left. I'm not sure why it took so long to make 2 drinks, each espresso shot should take about 30 seconds. I appreacite it's not a 'Costa' or 'Starbucks' but quite often they have only 1 machine running and manage to make the drinks quickly and to the correct temp/size. This was poor value for money in both time and product and I'm sorry to say we won't be returning
