This lovely little place has a lot of potential. So stylish and quaint. The staff are always polite and very accommodating. My favourite deal for £4.75 is the savoury cream tea (or a black coffee in my case). A choice of Davidstow cheese or blue cheese and walnut with a small pot of both apple and onion chutney is lovely. My only niggle is the freshness of the scones. This time they were a tad dry? Other than that I loved sitting on the high stool watching the world go by 🙂

Had a lovely breakfast here in March. All the staff were so friendly and attentive to us. The views around the shack were beautiful with big windows looking onto the beach a lovely spot and a must visit if you’re in the area!

Since the early 80s I have enjoyed Steak Pasties from Martins Bakery, they were lovely in fact I have,on occasions, driven from Teignmouth to Looe just for one of their Pasties. Not any more; about 3 or 4 years ago they changed in both appearance and quality. Last Thursday I was in Looe and thought I would give them another try,big mistake they are even worse, stogy, tasteless and dry. The original Pasties were moist with noticable onion, swede and potato with beef skirt on top.Now they are diced potato and mince with little seasoning. I am very dissapointed and will not go again.

Typical locals bar, nothing great or special but grubby in my opinion if your on a pub crawl like us sort stopping. Would I pay a specific visit? No

I have been staying local to this pub for a few months - 2 or 3 nights at a time. Just happened to pop in when music was being played. Loved the local atmosphere and made welcome straight away. This is a no fuss pub with spotless on TV and friendly bar staff and locals. I will definitely be in again when I am in the area. It’s a pub - drink with friendly people and relax - it’s not complicated! ……!

We popped in for a pasty & were so pleased we did - they were absolutely delicious. So yummy that we tried the scones too. Equally delightful. Lovely place with delicious food - now our favourite bakery in Love.

This lovely friendly Inn is a must to visit if you are down in Looe. Charming character and lots going on. Zoe and Gary the owners put so much energy into this place it's exhausting to watch. Their hard work also go further by being involved in the local outside fund raising events in the harbour. I was a solo visitor there for a few weeks over Christmas and was made very welcome by Steve and Gillian who are also part of the Jolly Sailor. Such a friendly family all doing their very best to make Looe a great place for all locals and visitors. If you read this then I hope you visit the Jolly Sailor to enjoy the lovely food and great range of beers. My experience at this place was amazing. Bar staff are all so attentive and kind it is as if they known you for years. Well done all staff at the JS you do an amazing job. I will definitely be back to enjoy my chat with Steve. Cheers Steve Danny.
