We stopped for lunch at the Black Swan, we had a very good meal, portion size was excellent, you didn’t need to have a sweet, The staff were very friendly and helpful, Good selection on menu at a very reasonable prices, good selection of drinks,

Outside we thought this was just a pub but lots of tables inside and a small bar we had fish chips peas which were very tasty and very fresh

Terrible ordered traditional fish and chips it was like from frozen and came out with skin on fries 🤷🏻‍♂️ when I was asked how was my meal and commented I wasn’t impressed and stated I have never had skin on fries with traditional fish and chips and her response was well they are still chips aren’t they unbelievable attitude never again

Cam in with our dog for some food but unfortunately they only had one portion of their fish and chips left. We stayed for a pint and whilst this is a dog friendly environment, our dog found it very stressful in here due to the loud noises. No fault of the pub at all, just some of the other guests that were there. If you have an anxious dog I would be cautious of this. But the pub and the staff were lovely and very hard working ☺️

Family dinner for just under £70 with 3x mains and one kids meal, with 4 drinks, which is reasonable. Clean plates all round.

This restaurant/pub is brilliant, I went in to ask if they could make something specific for my husband due to swallowing issues, and they did so without hesitation. Was great to find them so accommodating. Food was amazing. Lovely atmosphere

We called in to the Black Swan having not booked anywhere and being quite underwhelmed by the reviews from some of the other places nearby. We were really pleased we did - the food was excellent, particularly the steak and ale pie, and the service couldn't have been friendlier. This is not a posh evening meal type place, but if you want some REALLY good pub grub (which we did), I'd thoroughly recommend it.

Our family had a late lunch/early dinner today ( 15th Aug 23 ) Excellent food, steak & ale pie was delicious 😋 Portions were great too! Other family members had the fish & chips and highly recommend it! Ham, egg & chips was lovely too. Ordered late bites of cod plus a side of chips for the 2 kids and that was great too. We are in holiday for a week and we will be going back! Fella behind the bar was friendly and explained that we may have at least a 20 min wait as they had just had a few food orders come in but once our food arrived we were very happy to wait for our delicious and very good value for money meals Well Done Black Swan 👍🏻

We went here today after getting off the train and we had 2 hungry kids with us. The fish and chios were great, the steak and Cornish Ale pie was amazing my fiancé told me, our son had the chicken burger and he demolished it and our daughter had the kids fish fingers and chips which she did the same. The fish fingers were homemade. We will definitely be back when we're in the area next.

Traditional pub food. Basic but good. Nothing wrong with it. All cleared our plates and enjoyed a few drinks. Background music, friendly staff, busy but not overly noisy.

Our order was messed up by a rude member of staff, black haired, young, inexperienced women. When we queried it we were met with a totally unprofessional attitude. The girl should not be in the job. The customer is always right clearly does not apply here. Avoid at all costs, Looe has many other excellent places to dine in. Staff training is required immediately.

We thoroughly enjoy our visits to this pub during our annual holiday in Looe. Our recent visits in June were highly pleasant. The most beautiful hunters chicken I have ever had, fantastic seasoned sauce, thick bacon and perfect portion sizes. The garlic bread was absolutely divine! Also enjoyed a chocolate cake for pudding. 😍 One of the best pubs in Looe and very welcoming, friendly, helpful staff! Highly recommend.

Been down in looe for a week, popped in for a beer and a bite on day 2, pub fairly quite which suited me, met a chatty and polite landlady (Karen), enjoyed a couple of pints of Tribute, which is extremely well kept, and went back every day thereafter, lovely place, lovely atmosphere, lovely staff, will definitely be returning. We went here for lunch with our three young children and dog. There was only one staff member working the front and most tables were occupied but you wouldn’t have noticed. Everything was served promptly and with a genuine smile. The lady working had time to bring our dog some water and treats and every time she passed us she made time to chat to our kids. An absolute star! Food was good too!
