The Bar at Saltbox in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Used the Nordic Spa which was a lovely experience, great value £35 for an hrs spa. £13.50 towards food. I had a Suki bowl. So fresh all cooked to order. Chicken , with rice and teriyaki sauce. Very tasty. Bar upstairs small but perfectly formed. All the staff in all areas were friendly , helpful and made the evening. Good vibe, music great and overal an experience, one not to miss, will be back

Literally had no chicken no fries and no drinks… they had a lot of nothing on the menu so you had what ever they had so maybe it was a bad day but kinda killed the vibe

Great little place, be great if there were more of this in other areas too. Food was pretty good, slightly expensive but still happy.

We visited here twice during our holiday for lunch & dinner , good location next to the Camel trail …..what a fab place !!! Great choice of street food & really good value . The service was very good & staff really friendly , can’t wait to visit again 😊

I cannot believe how wonderful our experiences at Salt Box were! Upon our arrival in Cornwall we ventured straight away to visit the owners of Salt Box, Christina and Anthony. We were immediately blown away by their generosity of spirit and the relaxed feel of the entire complex. During our stay in Cornwall, we visited Salt Box 3 times! We enjoyed meals at both the Mediterranean Kitchen and Suki, drinks at Salt Bar and a blessed hour of sauna and soaking at the Nordic Spa. We even got to enjoy a great evening of live music on the upper floor! Do not miss stopping in at the Salt Box for a pint, meal, and a soak the next time you're in Wadebridge! There's something for everyone here and its ambiance is curated for a lovely experience from start to finish!

It's a gorgeous bar, very unique, however I would never get a milkshake from there again, cost £4.75 each and tasted horrible, would rather get a £1 milkshake from a shop. The man who brought us our drinks looked miserable, he put our drinks or the table and just walked away. I feel like the bar has slightly wasted potential.

Although the chicken & lamb 'kebab' style mains tasted great, they were almost vegan by virtue of the meat portion size. Shame, the service was great, but the portion sizes are a complete joke

The whole ordering system is confusing and you have to go up to each food 'window' to order and then are given a button that beeps when food is ready and you go and collect it, it was really distracting and annoying so couldn't relax and kept having to go up, also to get own cutlery, sauces, napkins.. was up and down like a yo yo.. The pizza was okay and the mexican food was nice but guacamole was bland. Wouldn't go again due to the fussy way of ordering. Drinks are overpriced in the bar £30 for a bottle of cheap pinot, would have expected better quality for that price.

Amazing experience, booked a table through what’s app. Lovely helpful staff and the food was delicious. My daughter said it was the best pizza she had ever eaten .

Popped into the Saltbox for lunch and ordered the halloumi kebabs…the prettiest, most colourful plates of food arrived, full of homemade flatbread, homemade dips, loads of grilled halloumi and grilled Mediterranean veg with feta cheese and salad. Super fresh and delicious, and generous portions. Followed this with sweet crepes, which were just as yummy - we went for the classic lemon and sugar ones, and they were how I’d love to make them at home and never can! Left full and happy.

We've been going to the Saltbar since it opened 4 years ago and it continues to get better and better. There has always been a great choice of wines, beers and spirits and now, with their own restaurant facilities, it's an ideal spot for that casual dining experience. As usual, the staff are delightful and this really is an all-round great experience. Thoroughly recommended.

Had some lunch here on the weekend and ordered from the Salt Box cafe downstairs. We were the third table in the whole place and it took 45 mins for my partners food to arrive (which was a really salty pancake with processed ham shoved in the middle and supposedly called a Galette). My food didn’t arrive until 20 mins after this when we had to go down and ask for it. It wasn’t even busy! Extortionate prices (the whole thing cost me £21 for two below par meals) for really not great service or food. The place is lovely and I’m sure the pizza and other cuisines are fab but maybe just don’t order from the cafe….

One server on her own. 4 people sat inside. It was raining so not v busy. I was on my own. Woman cooking just said ‘I’m not taking any orders as I’m 20 mins behind’ so I left ?

Different idea, and buoyant atmos. Not like the other bars. Bare with me. It sits at the normally open-top-deck a small shipping-container-based complex of indie catering business. Its high end but tolorant... and NOT thuggy

Brilliant little place, but I’ve made the journey to come to you on numerous occasions now and you’ve been closed. If you don’t open until 5 then just change the opening time online. Have come to meet friends and both of us have paid for parking across the road, only to then have to go somewhere else. I’m all for a relaxed way of life but not opening when advertised, ever, is daft !

Tasty pizzas. Interesting setting with good atmosphere. If the drinks prices were a little bit more sensible we would’ve stayed longer and had a second round.

Really cool place with wooden structure o et two floors with both open air and indoors seating. You can order your food from different places - pizza, Indian, Spanish tapas, burgers - and drinks from the bar. Great buzz! We tried the pizza and it was excellent ! The timing of the order between food and drinks didn’t work as planned but ok for a relaxed family dinner.

We visited here for a pizza, without realising it offered Tacos, burgers, tapas and Indian. The food was great. We ordered two pizzas and one Indian. Service was quick and friendly. The atmosphere was very good. If we get the chance during our holiday, we'll definitely pop back. The only reason I didn't give my review a 5 was price, as with similar places, prices are always a bit high.

Our booking was cancelled via email with less than 3 hours notice on a Saturday night of bank holiday weekend! Nothing like a phone call to apologise. Book with caution…

Great place and great vibe with quality food options. We had some amazing wood fired pizzas but there is a selection of different food options from separate kitchens all cooked fresh on site

Dropped in here a bit of “lastminute.com where to go” as travelling through for work, was not disappointed. Sat on top floor, live music, good beer, amazing tapas and such a friendly crowd. The vibes here are so relaxed and welcoming. The downstairs units of pizza and Indian were closed but we were extremely well satisfied with our tapas and Harbour Lager. Good luck guys and thanks for the live music. What a fab Sunday evening sat under the stars.

We’ll run great atmosphere bar. The staff could not have been more attentive. We arrived 18.45 left around 21.30. We struggled to get a taxi. However one of staff offered to drop us off at our hotel. Taxi did arrive but shows you what kind of place it is. A must for Wadebridge ! Interesting and enjoyable wines at a very reasonable price.

Have to say the service was terrible we waited over 1hr 30 for a takeout the Chef was so rude we appreciate there stacked out with orders but the guy in the kitchen was so rude and we want be spending are money there again not happy

Lovely cocktails. Good atmosphere.

I don’t mind paying for good food but when you pay a decent price for what’s advertised as local produce/meat but the staff are using bacon from Lidl next door (went out and purchased it whilst was in cue and it was an open packet in the kitchen when I was ordering…) then I end up feeling a bit cheated - probably best to tell your customers that you’ve run out of the local produce and you’re using stuff from the supermarket next door..?

All well and good being ‘quirky’ but not great when no customer service whatsoever! Nobody seating you nor telling you how the place works (we hadn’t been before) so you end up wandering about aimlessly with no idea where to sit/ where to order - Then get told ‘we’re finished’ when you try to order some food - why still let people in then? With limited opening hours following the last lockdown you would think these places would need to get some money in the till (before the next lockdown and you have to close again!) then they will wonder why they end up closed permanently..

We have been here many times and just love it. Fantastic staff, wonderful wines and cocktails and the food on offer is scrummy too. Really family friendly. I couldn’t recommend it more highly.

Stopped off for one drink on route to a restaurant, Lorry containers nailed together to form the structure and a couple of the rooms for tables, we sat in the open air on a balcony overlooking the local area. Limited choice of draught beer but...

This is second visit to Graze in less than a week. The food is amazing and so tasty, the staff are warm, friendly and so helpful. This restaurant is a must if you are visiting Wadebridge and if not..... make a special trip to this...

Went to Saltbox this evening for my sons birthday, what a fantastic set up, the pizzas were amazing and the brisket fries were to die for and the bar was cosy and warm and the service in the bar was delightful, would highly recommend

New enterprise in Wadebridge combining a collection of great street food vendors and a bar. Each is a separate little business but they all share the larger space. It’s lovely, friendly and has a good vibe.

A great addition to Wadebridge. The wine selection is superb and the choice of food is wide ranging and very good. We'll be back.

The Saltbox is a welcome addition to the Wadebridge. A modern container based concept with plenty of choice to eat and drink. The Bar upstairs is well stocked serving their own locally produced Padstow Gin. Great to have somewhere to go that doesn’t close at...
