Sarah's Pasty Shop in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

We had a Cornish pastry from Sarah's, only to come again for more. Personally I am not a huge pasty lover as most pasty shops sell mass produced pasties and too dry for my liking. Having discovered these absolutely delicious pasties, home made on the premises with generous fillings yet cheaper than their competitiors, I would make a special trip back to Looe just to experience these wonderful tasty pasties.

No trip to Looe is complete without a trip to Sarah's. You can watch party's being made . Good choice of fillings but I always have a traditional corniche pasty

Absolutely stunning pasties. So full of filling and flavour. Great to see them being made too. Bought another to take home. Must try when in looe and support a traditional and local business

Well I don't normally do any bad reviews ! but yesterday we visited Looe and was exited to have another Sarah's pasty .I had steak and stilton and my wife had steak traditional! we are from Cornwall and are very proud of all the great pasties available in our county , but these were not notably good more of a disappointment ! size wise and price were no problem ,but all the veg was chopped into miniscule pieces and the meat must have gone into someone else's pasty because both our pasties had a minute spattering of steak ! so very disappointing it certainly was nothing like it used to be!

Two take away traditional Cornish pasties - excellent. They queue here for a reason - the bakery is so good and well worth it.

Without doubt the best pasty I've ever had and I've had a few! If you are lucky enough to find yourself in Looe then a quick stop off at Sarah's Pasty Shop is a must. Nothing beats sitting on a bench in Looe eating a great pasty and dodging the seagulls!

There is a reason why this is known as the place for the best pasties in Cornwall. Always top class, expect a queue and get there early before they are sold out. All created and baked on the premises, order and enjoy a traditional miners pasty!

Visited during a recent visit to Cornwall and popped in to for a take away lunch, I had a traditional steak and my wife had a cheese and onion. Both were delicious and well cooked. The pastry was superb crispy and loved the crispy brown bits on the bottom. Also nice to get a pasty that doesn’t burn the roof of your mouth when you buy it.

Usually excellent pasties which we bring home by the dozen, flavoursome filling and great pastry, but on our last visit they weren't great... No seasoning at all, really thick pastry (which is usually excellent from Sarah's) and one had hardly any meat in it at all. We've been loyal customers for years, but this year will be the last we get our pasties from Sarah's - we found the Malcolm Barnecutt ones to be much tastier. To be honest, we had pasties from Sarah's on 1 March, eating them by the beach and they were under-seasoned, too - but we put it down to an 'off-day'... Don't know what's changed, but it's definitely not for the better. And my sister noted that the bacon in the bacon, leek and cheese pasty was smoked which overpowered everything. Shame.

My mum’s favourite place in Cornwall is Looe she’s been visiting ever year since she was 18, she’s now 81. I always struggle to get something different other than flowers. We always go to Sarah’s Pasty shop when we visit. So glad you deliver she was over the moon with them. Thank you so much!

Picked up a batch of pasties on our last day in Looe to bring home either us. Had one when we got home & they were some of the best pasties we’ve had for some time - wish I’d bought more! Superb!

Wow!!! This was hands down the best pasty I have ever had in my life!! I don’t even like pasties particularly but I plan to visit again on Monday. My husband loves pasties and he also agreed best Pasty he has ever had, so I hope that tells you something!! I had the bacon, leek and cheese and it was so flavoursome. We asked for tomato ketchup because lots of pasties we have had previously were dry and we absolutely did not need it! The pastry casing is soooo doughy and delicious. 10/10!!

Sarah’s make what are probably the most yummy Cornish Pasties we have tasted and we’ve tried a few. They are very popular, so getting there early in the day is recommended. Great value too.

Took friends to Looe and persuaded them to partake of the best pasties in the Town. There are many places in Looe that sell pasties but only one where there is regularly a queue outside. Says so much about the quality

We always buy our pasties from Sarah’s pasty shop in looe while on holiday and have done so for many years but on our last holiday in September we visited 3 times and on two occasions the pasties were very salty, they are made fresh every day by hand and I suppose every one will be slightly different depending on who’s making them but on this occasion I could not finish my pasty and had to throw it. Please be careful with the amount of salt used

The best pasties in Cornwall I’d say, really lovely pastry, good size and plenty of filling. Ended up getting pasties for lunch here on 3 of our 4 days in Looe, only reason it wasn’t 4/4 is because it was closed on the Sunday!!! Small downside is they have a big list of pasty options on the sign but often only a few flavours are actually ready each time, so prepare to have your second or third choice. I have seen you can pre-order though so may be an option to avoid disappointment. Love that you can see the pasties being made there inside the shop. Lovely cakes too. Would recommend.

When in Cornwall what better lunch to have than a freshly baked pasty. And to buy from Sarah’s was the best decision. The traditional pasty I chose was lovely and hot, and the delicious meat filling encased in an amazing rich golden pastry. Will definitely be back

Absolutely brilliant pasties. We discovered Sarah's pasties a couple of years ago. Wow! They are absolutely superb proper cornish pasties! Always a good helping of excellent quality beef and lovely sweet turnip! Essential in a good cornish oggy😁. We make a definite date every time we are in the area of visiting.

We ordered gluten free pasties from here on Monday to be picked up today (Wednesday). We were not disappointed my daughter who is allergic to wheat and me being Ceoliac. We took away 4 delicious pasties our only disappointment was very few of the flavour on the menu were available but we understood why. The lamb mint and rosemary one was delicious I particularly liked the pastry and the fact that it wasn’t overly thick. The traditional ones were nice. A little on the pricey side at £4.50 each but they were a good size.

My wife & I were visiting Looe on a sunny weekday, and we took the opportunity to have our first taste of a Cornish pasty (heard about them for years, but this was our first chance to try them). Fresh pasties were being prepared by several young members of Sarah's staff when we entered the tiny shop on busy Buller Street in East Looe (maybe a training day?). The very friendly lady at the counter suggested as first-timers that we try the traditional style pasty (potato, swede, onion and Cornish skirt); we ordered two without considering the volume of the product - splitting one pasty would have been enough to satisfy us both. We sat on the East Looe Quay & thoroughly enjoyed our freshly made Cornish treats. We would definitely return to Sarah's Pasty Shop, and we recommend you save room for one of their pasty varieties the next time you are in or near Looe.

Sarah's Pasties are the best in Looe and probably for some distance beyond - takeaway only and be prepared to queue but well worth it. Does some delicious looking cakes too but couldn't try as trying to keep my cholesterol down and a pasty was already on the naughty list
