We always have Supper at this hotel on the Upper Deck when we are staying in St Mawes. Ben and his team are so friendly and very efficient too. Ben is a great Manager with a great sense of humour. He and his team always have time to spend with us and this makes a difference to our time spent in the Restaurant. The food is very good and the presentation too. So pleased the menu will be changed at the end of this week. See you soon. Best wishes Angela and Geoff

We found this on the way home from our holiday. Plenty of parking and dog friendly. We had two large, two medium and two small breakfasts. All arrived together and plenty hot enough. Good portions did not need to eat for the rest of the day. The cake was nice also. We will definitely return on our next holiday to Cornwall!

Highly recommend Ok I don’t review often so take it from me if I do it’s good went Sunday for roast with friends normally go to who had thought it but went Sunday before and I was upset was not to standard and service not great so thought we would go here as on way home for friends and honestly for between £8.50 and £12.50 not one complaint and empty plates if you fit a dessert in well done two had desserts as they are pigs and we all shared equally was as good as roast big thumbs up will be going back a lot more

Really lovely establishment, great food, great coffee and mostly great service. But sadly, we won’t be returning. We shut the front door as we were feeling too chilly and a member of staff soon after reopened the door. As another member of staff passed we asked if she was able to shut the door for us as we were too cold, she said this was absolutely fine and apologised for the other member of staff. Within a matter of minutes again the previous member of staff opened the door again. The cold was unbearable, we ended up sat in our coats and had to get takeaway boxes for our cakes.

Probably the worst pub food I’ve ever eaten in my life, and I’ve had a few! Apparently, the chef had to leave at short notice, which should have sounded alarm bells, but, being typically British, we didn’t want to get up and leave having already said we wanted food! The lady behind the bar was a customer, who had only popped in for a drink, but she had a streaming cold, literally dripping from her nose, and we didn’t see her washing her hands once! We ordered two lasagnas and two cottage pies, which were probably microwave heated Tesco value meals, with tinned peas and cold chips! The only positive being, that we ended up laughing at just how terrible this experience was! In comparison, we ate at The Globe on our first night in Lostwithiel, then at Sunny Spice (Indian) the following night, both being delicious in comparison…

Plenty of seats and parking nearby . An old Inn and one of the few places to eat when visiting the Lizard. The food selection is limited but nicely cooked and presented .The Lizard is a place to visit on a fine day. Its not nice on a wet day

Cocktails were delightful. The spicy watermelon margarita was great but tiny and served in a thimble. The oh my mango/mango and pear cocktail was refreshing and lovely. Brooklyn lager? Poretti? We’re in Cornwall, a place continually fighting for its regional identity and you serve this muck instead of Korev/St Austel, offshore/Sharps, Harbour brewing, verdant, firebrand or any of the other many Cornish breweries? It’s insulting to Cornwall and also awful BEER!

Lovely store, very friendly experienced staff. The picture doesn't do it justice as store has been refurbished. Wonderful view of Launceston Castle at the rear of the store.

The café had been recommended to us, with special regard to its proximity to Stithians Lake. Unfortunately, we feel the place doesn't quite live up to its billing. Not well signposted and perfunctory service (on enquiring about their sandwich selection we were just pointed towards a menu written up on a blackboard). In the end, my partner and I elected to just had pastries and an Americano coffee. The coffee was okay, but we've tasted better. A vegan breakfast is offered but where the sandwiches are concerned the selection is purely for carnivores. A pleasant enough visit but, sadly, not one we're likely to repeat.
