Had a lovely meal,Rump Steak& Croft Burger,then sweets to finish. Great food and service. Shame the weather wasn't a little better as we would have sat outside after our meal.

Baked cod was wonderful, really cooked well, family had fish and chips, steak of the day a fettuccine , velvety one very happy with their meals and great service too … well done all x

Went to watch a local band who were playing there. Not been under the current owners. It's been done our nicely. Everything looked clean and the terrace is lovely. However, when I went to the bar to order a drink I noticed a sign saying card payments only. I only had cash so had to ask a friend to pay for me and gave them the cash. I think it's poor service to not accept cash. One of the friends I went with asked them why they didn't accept cash, on their Facebook page and was promptly blocked. It appears the owner/management can't accept constructive feedback. My group of friends won't be going back and not accepting cash also lost them quite a bit in revenue as we decided not to buy any more than one drink each because of their policy.

Went to see a fabulous band called the Horizons but very disappointing that the bar only took card payments - I only had cash on me. There are many reasons people can not pay by card so this is very discriminatory. Also bizarrely when I asked what white wine they had - the answer was 'white' at nearly £8 a glass not great customer service.

An attractive but simple decor with plenty of space between tables. Attentive and pleasant staff. The menu is not extensive but has sufficient variety to please everyone. The quality of the food is excellent and very well cooked and presented. Overall a very pleasant experience and one which we are happy to repeat. We’ll worth a visit!

Good food served promptly , professional and efficient staff , A little pricey for the type of menu. Sadly they dont accept cash !! so we wont be going again unless this changes.

Outstanding food. Service awkward. Had the most amazing food at The Croft. We shared a starter or boneless Korean style chicken which was delicious. We both had the spiced hake which came with an onion bahji, sag aloo and mango and was out of this world. For desserts we had the pineapple posset and the earl grey. Again out of this world. The service was ok but staff lacked confidence and knowledge. We asked what IPA beers they had, clearly no idea what an IPA is. Could do with some additional training to allow them to serve with confidence and match the level of the food. Restaurant was only open between 5 & 8.30

Myself and my partner visited The Croft for the first time. We were extremely well greeted,we were early and fancied a couple of drinks before eating,all the staff were very attentive and pleasant. When we ordered the server was very helpful.We had the Spicy Hake with all the trimmings including an onion Bhaji,my partner had the cod and chorizo both dishes were fantastic and full of flavour. I also had the pineapple posset which was incredible. After dinner there was a fantastic band playing in the bar ‘Moriaty’ who were amazing musicians. This place is great!!! We will be returning 👍🏻

Unfortunately the food was nearly cold when it came out. We told the waitress this who rolled their eyes to get us a replacement. The replacements weren’t hot either. The service was very slow even though it was empty. Very disappointed but I know a few people who have said the same. Won’t be going back.

Delicious food served by friendly staff who could not be more helpful. Lovely terrace to have our pre-dinner drinks. Would highly recommend.

We had a lovely meal here, all of our food was very good and the service was lovely, very friendly and welcoming staff. There is a lovely patio at the back with great views to enjoy a drink in the sunshine. I would highly recommend this place, great value for money.
