Gone down hill, visited with a friend as needed a coffee break, waited nearly 25 minutes for a coffee. Atmosphere was not the best. Not sure if it’s a change of management or what etc but definitely nothing like my visit last year

We visited here for some coffee and lunch. We had to sit outside because we had our dog with us, but this wasn’t a problem as thankfully it was still undercover. The food was good but the coffee was delicious! Friendly staff as well. Definitely worth a visit if passing!

After a look around the garden centre, myself and my Mum arrived at the cafe at 12:05pm. We ordered two coffees and two toasted tea cakes, unfortunately we were told “sorry tea cakes are only on the breakfast menu, which finished at 12:00pm!” So we couldn’t have these???? Myself and Mum sat down (without our coffees), and then decided we’d go for a scone each with jam and cream!! Thought this wouldn’t be a problem. I went to the desk to order this, unfortunately I was told that I’d have to have two teas too!!! For a start we didn’t want teas as we were having coffees! Surely it’s possibly to have a cream tea with coffees instead of tea????? Very disappointing service which is ashame. Is it too much trouble to have two toasted tea cakes or scones, jam and cream!! Seems like there are too many rules and stipulations in place!

Sadly a very disappointing visit. The tea room / cafe lacks any atmosphere and over recent times the number of customers has declined. The main problem is the highly inflated prices and the meagre portion sizes. I can't see this business continuing unless they adapt and cater for locals at reasonable prices.

A damp early afternoon so decided to pass some of the time with an afternoon cream tea. An good selection of other cakes were available. Staff very friendly, efficient and Covid compliant. If ever in the area again would not hesitate to call back. Had a browse around the plants and ended up puchasing some end of season bargains. Fortunately the weather improved and we were able to spend a pleasant eartly evening in Charlestown

Just made an unplanned coffee stop at the garden centre tea rooms. So pleased we did. Americano coffee superb but the soya latte and lemon drizzle cake stole the show. Smoothest, most 'creamy' latte I've ever had. The lemon drizzle cake was the lightest, tangiest most pleasing I've had. Ever! Excellent experience. Thank you!

There was a reasonable choice of plants to purchase, given the time of year, February. However, they seemed to be a bit more expensive than my local garden centre. But certainly worth a look around, as they had plants in different containers, including some very novel sustainable ones.

Went for lunch here with my Nan and I can't fault the food one bit, it was incredible! Went for the turkey, brie and cranberry panini and it was just incredible! I'll usually go for the pulled pork panini which is just as good but this was new on the menu so had to try it. Staff are super polite and friendly and will assist you with anything you need! No actual puds on offer, but a variety of interesting cakes (eg lime and coconut) and the standard favourites. Tea Room or Cafe? A bit of both really. I suspect that most, probably all of the food is home made. I've eaten here quite a few times now and have never been disappointed. It would be nice to see some chips on the menu, to complement the jacket potato and mashed potato, as sometimes a person really wants chips! Not really a criticism, as this is a nice, affordable place to eat, with a couple of pleasant ladies running it.

Coffee was delivered quickly and a slice of the most delicious quiche heated through and brought to the table quickly. As the rain persisted we hung on for more drinks and a slice of cake. All very generous portions, and very reasonable prices. Certainly worth a visit. Lovely plants for sale too.

Shopping in the area and decided to stay for lunch at this tea room attached to a garden centre.Staff were friendly and welcoming, we ordered at the counter and the waitress bought the food to our table. There were 3of us, one vegetarian and one gluten free. We had no problem in finding something on the menu for all of us. All three of us were very happy with our meal, one had cauliflower cheese from the specials board, the gluten free person had jacket potato with cheese and tuna and the third person has a cheese and tuna panini.Had a good time browsing in the garden centre after lunch

I call this tearoom ‘The Shed’ as it’s a wooden building in the garden centre. What makes this tearoom the best is the staff. They’re efficient, professional but wonderfully friendly. There is always a different range of cakes and meals to choose from. They have a small selection of Cornish products for sale. It’s my favourite place to stop off especially as it’s on my way back home.

Set in a separate building to the garden centre, the tea rooms were warm and inviting. Some lovely home cooked pies and slices were on offer with thick pastries. The strawberry cream teas at £4.95 were absolutely lovely. 2 fresh, warm scones with so much jam and cream, I was so stuffed. A huge pot of tea which pour 2/3 cups each to wash it all down.

Ordered a jacket potato with cheese and tuna. Lunch arrived minus the cheese, it was accompanied by a small salad, there was no salad dressing. The very cold tuna was sat on the plate next to the hot potato, the potato was large and quite well cooked and came with one small pat of butter. It was a warm day and I was sitting outside, no one came to ask if i or the meal were ok. This was a bit dissappointing
