Stopped off at the Hideout Cafe for a morning coffee. Really liked the look of the yurt. Very good choice of cake and snacks so opted for the marshmallow rocky road cake which was delicious. As it was a lovely day sat outside but it is also very nice in the yurt. Lovely to see a selection of toys for young children which my friend’s great grand daughter appreciated. Staff were also very friendly.

Rubys at Dundry Garden Nursery is excellent for morning coffee and cakes, lunch or afternoon tea and scones (the full menu is offered all day). We often meet friends there for Sunday lunch. All the hot dishes (casseroles, pies, quiche, fish cakes etc) are home cooked and fruit crumble and custard cannot be bested. Highly recommended.

Lovely views over the Tamar river, the staff are absolutely delightful and it is spotlessly clean. Very reasonable prices.

After two years peeing off most of the neighbourhood with noise and litter and building a live music venue, without planning permission next door to residential gardens, these squatters are finally getting the boot. Shame that the charity that own the building are now heavily out of pocket.

2nd time of visiting, both times unsuccessful!! Today although on line it says clearly that it was open, when we got there it didn't even exist anymore! The first time we went it wasn't open, so feeling rather fed up and shan't bother again. So disappointed as we really wanted to support a new local business 😒

Disfrutamos mucho del té con crema que tomamos en Webbs Café, pero pensamos que era un poco caro, pero aún así lo disfrutamos.

We booked an afternoon tea for a friend's birthday on 25th February at 2.30pm. We had been told to go through the pub and up the stairs. When we did so, we were met with a noisy, rowdy function room that appeared to be a continuation of the pub downstairs. There were about 10 men drinking alcohol, playing darts and snooker/pool, and it was so loud you couldn't hold a conversation. Tables and chairs were messily arranged and pushed to the sides in some cases. We asked one of the men where the tearoom was. We had to shout the question again because he couldn't hear us. He said 'The tearoom? You're in it. It doubles up as a sports bar.' We sat down at the only table that was available at the edge of the men's domain and it was wobbly and sticky. The room was definitely not set up as a tearoom and the table was definitely not ready for an afternoon tea. No staff were around. It was already past 2.30pm so we decided to go elsewhere. We felt we had been mis-sold. It was not somewhere you'd want to go for a nice afternoon tea but perfect for a pint and a pool game with a big group of mates. We will not recommend this to anyone. What a let down.

The Piano Café, The Old Joanna is quite unusual in Trowbridge and boasts excellent decor, excellent coffee, excellent service and outstandingly huge, freshly made sandwiches and cakes. On Wednesdays there is a live pianist who also records himself onto piano rolls which the piano plays when he is not there. It's a must to visit this venue and enjoy the musical atmosphere.

I normally have a lovely experience,i am used to the lovely focused staff and incredible drinks however, the staff that was serving on the 4th of june were unfocused, chatting to each other which left me and other customers waiting for about 10 mins, took them ages to make as they were chatting and gossiping! i normally don’t like writing reviews but felt this was necessary:/ photo is supposed to be a mint choc chip frostino 🤦♀️

The staff were very rude and the building was unsafe and can cause you injuries. I went to the toilet to wash my hands and accidentally hit the top of my head on the door frame when leaving the bathroom (which was too low, despite me only being 5'11"). After I explained to whoever was in charge that I hit my head on the door frame in the toilet, she said that I should "use my eyes" and that there was writing on the other door frames (but not the one I hit my head on) and that I should look where I am going in the future like "normal people". I tried to explain that all that was needed was some padding or something colourful to stop people hitting their heads but she wasn't interested in my recommendations and was extremely rude and disrespectful, insisting that the writing she had was enough warning, and that it was my own fault I was injured. Not only was I left with a severe headache but was also treated so rudely and disrespectfully by a member of staff I'm never going back here again and recommend everyone else avoid this place also.

Back again, best coffee in Clarks Village by far. Friendly staff and good choice of cakes and pastries.

Unfortunately we did not see the sign that said take a seat and someone would be with you shortly. We asked the girl behind the counter for a coffee and a tea, she took the order and we showed her where we would be sitting, informing us she would come over and take the order. Another man came in went straight to the counter and ordered food and drink and went and sat down. So my husband went up to the counter and asked for a bacon and sausage sandwich to be told .... "I can't do everything at once, I'm making you coffee and tea" and threw her hands up in the air. She was so rude, I could not believe she spoke to a customer that way. I work in customer service and I would have been sacked for speaking to a customer that way on the spot. It was not busy and she was certainly not run off her feet. Lesson in customer service 1 Hello how can I help you 2 Please take a seat and I will be with shortly 3 Go to table and take the order and smile!! and say "I will make your drinks and you food order will be with you shortly 4 Upsell - ask the customer if there is anything else I can help you with Positive .... the sandwich was lovely.

The place is layed out like a cafeteria, the courtyard would be beautiful in the summer (although I’m not sure if it’d be a sun trap or not) They offer gluten free options (home made gluten free bread) and vegan options, food was decent, portions and prices average however there was a mishap with the oat milk not being gluten free which wasn’t great as I had a milk gluten attack the next 2 days… the waitress was really apologetic and I completely understand that mistakes can happen but allergens are something that need to be approached with extra caution along with all staff learning in depth about allergens & intolerances. I would visit again however I’d check the packaging allergen info myself.
