Great place and very helpful staff. Food very good, just bbq steak not as good as it could have been. Slightly tough. Did not put us off and looking forward to going back and staying there.

Visited today with fríends from the US. We were given a lovely welcome and we were really impressed by the down to earth friendly spirit of the young staff ( I'm in my 50s - so there we go). We all had fish & chips and it was top class. The fish had real taste and a delight to eat unlike many places I've been to. We will be back and thanks for making our day out with friends so memorable for all the right reasons. Well done The Kingham Plough staff.

Fantastic food in a really lovely pub and venue! Highly recommend, the mussels were incredible and all the other dishes we had were also very good. The service was a bit average and the prices were very high, which is why it gets a 4/5.

Went in for a quiet pint about 8.30 on a Saturday evening. Didn’t notice the small sign on the door excluding children. Got a table, ordered at the bar and paid only to be told children weren’t allowed. So we drank at the door, not impressed, spoiled an other ways lovely day out in Witney. Big fan of hook Norton beer as well, so less than impressed that families are not welcomed.

An amazing old pub with the best Sunday lunch ( beef) ive ever eaten.

Asked for large glass of Chardonnay and a pint of cider, came in at over £21. Completely my fault as there was a wine list with prices which I hadn't looked at. The Chardonnay was £15.20, absolutely scandalous. I googled the bottle which could be bought online for £9.40 that's over a 300% mark up. Next after consulting the wine list and prices we ordered a large sauvingon blanc at £11. The lady behind the bar was going to charge me over £13 before I challenged her and pointed out the price on the wine list. Sorry, my fault I gave you the wrong one. There was only one on the list. A complete rip off of a place. Beware anyone who visits in future and check your bill.

We were staying locally and search Google to find this place - fantastic. Two great Real Ales (Timothy Taylor and Doom Bar) and tried them both. We ate in the Restsurant, but the Menu was the same. Great choice - two of us had the Pie 🥧 & two had the chicken supreme. Everything was delicious. The Staff were fantastic and made the evening even better 👏 👏👏👏

Got to be the most soul destroying pub I have ever been in. Don’t bother looking at the menu as most things aren’t available. Sadly, we had ordered a bottle of wine before trying to order food or would have just walked straight out again.

I'm really surprised at previous poor reviews as I had an excellent experience today. I ordered mushrooms on toast and my husband had the full breakfast. Both were excellent. My husband is very fussy and said it was one of the best breakfasts he'd had. The staff were attentive and chatty. We also took away bread and cakes. I will definitely go back.

Visited today, waited at least five minutes at the empty counter, one couple behind us walked out and I had to shout through the door to the kitchen and eventually a young girl came out, cream tea was nice but pot of tea was not hot.

We visit HOOFS regularly as its round the corner from work. The staff are always very friendly and always happy to take our order over the phone for collection. We love the food from HOOFS and we order weekly if not more than that. The salad bowls are delicious. Great team and always chatty!! Great value for money :)

Friendly welcoming staff. Bridget was awesome! She was really friendly and made me some great gin mixes. Definitely recommend this pub to anyone!
