The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in West Oxfordshire South East

We visit this place from time to time for lunch and the food has always been fantastic. The cafe is also very nice with both indoor and outdoor seating (including benches underneath trees for those who don’t want to be in the sun). Staff are friendly and open to any fiddling with stuff on the menu (e.g. taking off bits you don’t want on sandwiches, etc…)

A well-presented country pub, but no atmosphere (it was a Tuesday lunchtime) and not helped by the bare walls. Good service. I chose this pub mainly because of the food (sample menus on the website). However, the range of meals was limited, not what I would expect of a 'gastropub' and a bit of a disappointment even after viewing the menus before my visit. The food was ok, but nothing special. I understand it has recently changed hands. Won't be going again.

Decent and great live music Owners are legends

A bit disappointing. The table wasn’t ready so had to wait as previous diners overran. Not a problem I guess but we could see other free tables but assumed they were for other diners. After 15 mins oddly they just sat us at one of those. There were four of us so ordered four starters, they forgot two. This was now an hour after the booking so needed to move on to the mains. Two were great, one was cold, the fourth then turned up over five minutes after the others (but was nice when it arrived). No one asked us if everything was ok during the meal (normally at a decent restaurant that would happen). Wanted to spend more on dessert but decided to move on and have some at home in case it took another hour to come. Staff looked stressed and not enjoying things. Not sure why. Hopefully just a one off….

Excellent food and service! Very friendly staff!

We ate an early dinner here on December 31st. Very disappointed with the food, considering the general quality of food in the region this was the lowest quality and hygiene we’ve experienced in the years of coming to Chipping Norton. There was a hair in my wife’s main, and later at desert, a hair in mine. We informed the waiter after we paid the bill who was very apologetic. If you’re looking for a nice dining experience in the area there is much better quality around.

I had the pleasure of enjoying a Sunday roast , and it was an absolutely delightful experience! The ambience was warm and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a cozy meal. Our server was incredibly friendly and helpful, that made the visit even more enjoyable. The food was delicious on an authentic take on a classic roast. The portions were impressively generous,. Overall, a lovely and authentic experience I’d highly recommend!

Had a fantastic meal here this evening. Chose the ribs and wife had a steak. So well cooked and sides were delicious. Highly recommend.

My starter was burnt and My main was slimy and raw in the middle. I had to get a dessert as nothing was edible and I was starving. My dessert was too sweet and only tasted of sugar. This was appalling for the prices they are charging. I have wasted my money here. The server was inattentive and waiting time is too long so I had to try and find someone to get my order or to take away my plates. The server would take away one plate but leave some dirty plates and mess on the table then just serve the main. I have never been so disappointed at a restaurant before.

We were visiting burford for a couple of days , called in for lunch lovely food by a roaring fire ,was busy but host had time to chat and make you welcome ,we went the the next day for evening meal the fish pie was the best we have had again had a lovely conversation with host would highly recommend

I'm really surprised at previous poor reviews as I had an excellent experience today. I ordered mushrooms on toast and my husband had the full breakfast. Both were excellent. My husband is very fussy and said it was one of the best breakfasts he'd had. The staff were attentive and chatty. We also took away bread and cakes. I will definitely go back.

I had a fantastic experience at Costa Coffee thanks to the excellent service from Marija! She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect. My coffee was delicious, and the atmosphere was welcoming. Marija's warm attitude really stood out, making my visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this location for great coffee and outstanding customer service!

Visited today, waited at least five minutes at the empty counter, one couple behind us walked out and I had to shout through the door to the kitchen and eventually a young girl came out, cream tea was nice but pot of tea was not hot.

We visit HOOFS regularly as its round the corner from work. The staff are always very friendly and always happy to take our order over the phone for collection. We love the food from HOOFS and we order weekly if not more than that. The salad bowls are delicious. Great team and always chatty!! Great value for money :)
