We have been here several times over the years but this visit was our last. The vegetarian options were disappointing and they always grew their own vegetables as much as they could in the kitchen garden, but when we had a walk around this time, the area was overgrown and neglected. Food was ok but nothing special. Staff were friendly enough but when we asked for the high service charge to be removed as we were entitled to, their mood changed and they became very rude, Not sure where the original manager/owner and staff have gone but we won’t be returning.

We went here to get a little desert as we have been to this cafe before and saw it had quite a good range of gluten free options. They didn’t have much left in stock so we were lucky to get what we got.The gluten free cookies were delicious, tasted really fresh and like they were homemade. Also the cake was really lovely too and tasty. They clearly list the allergens of the product on the screen protector thing behind the cakes. Also tell them about any allergies when ordering.I believe their menu is 100% vegan too.The toilets were really clean too.

Superbly refurbished hotel in pretty village. Lovely rooms which were spotless, and cosy bar and restaurant areas with open fires. Unfortunately food on our evening was poor compared to a previous visit. Main course of roasted cod returned as inedible and adjoining table also had to return a steak which was under cooked. Pork chop average. Service that evening was excellent and the manager apologised, did not charge for the returned dish or the alternative dish. Breakfast the following morning was disappointing - we arrived about 9.30am to find no tables set for us, many tables not cleared and what appeared to be a Morrisons loaf as the bread offer. Slow and Haphazard service. Cooked breakfast was ok. The place deserves significantly better. Might have been an off 24 hours.

This is a great place for amazing coffee. A very chilled out environment, very modern and hip. Nice touches like the water served with coffee, armchairs, plants in the dining area. However, don't frequent on a Sunday morning. Man alive, the place is busier than Piccadilly Circus! Mid-week is perfect, weekends are a write-off. It's also freezing in the dining area, so visit thoroughly wrapped up.

I booked this cafe after looking at online reviews and photos of the food. When I arrived it was not quite what I was expecting. The menu looked sparce and I questioned myself why I had booked it. The 4 of us ordered 3 different menu options and oh my goodness, each was absolutely delicious. The staff were absolutely lovely and we will 100% be returning. The pasties were also wonderful and well worth indulging in.

This pub is absolutely amazing! The atmosphere is not too wild, just the right amount of energy (unless there's a football match going on). The staff are incredibly friendly and make sure you feel right at home, whether you’re just stopping by for a quick drink or planning to stay for the whole evening. The drink menu is impressive, with a great selection of beers on tap. And let’s not forget the food. You can count on classic pub fare that satisfies every time, whether you’re in the mood for a big meal or just something light to snack on. This pub is perfect for hanging out with friends, making it an ideal spot to unwind and have a good time.

Hadn’t been for a few years but this visit was underwhelming for me. The Sunday lunch I had (Pithivier) was quite average (a bit bland and needed more sauce) . Roast potatoes felt like they had been sitting around a long time - no crunch. I had also mentioned a birthday when booking and this wasn’t mentioned. The place was very quiet for an Easter Sunday too so not much of a vibe either. Not what I remembered from a prior visit.
