The Rose & Crown in West Oxfordshire

A well-presented country pub, but no atmosphere (it was a Tuesday lunchtime) and not helped by the bare walls. Good service. I chose this pub mainly because of the food (sample menus on the website). However, the range of meals was limited, not what I would expect of a 'gastropub' and a bit of a disappointment even after viewing the menus before my visit. The food was ok, but nothing special. I understand it has recently changed hands. Won't be going again.

on entering the pub the atmosphere was good and the welcome friendly. the food (Steak sandwich ) was tasty but not value for money . My last point is when we settled the bill a 10% service charge had been added,which my wife failed to notice when she settled the bill. nowhere did we see any sign stating this would be added to the final bill. Had we had a full evening meal this would have been acceptable.

El personal es asegurarse de que te hace sentir muy bienvenido y bien cuidado, la comida era excelente, desde el buen menú, regado con una buena pinta o tres 🍺 me he alojado en la zona unas cuantas veces y este es mi lugar favorito de lejos 👍, espero volver pronto! !

Excellent service,a good all round experience. Thoroughly recommended!! We arrived on a rainy and horrible day, but it was'n't long that the fire was lit and the beer was flowing!!

Fabuloso pub intacto del pueblo, con un ambiente encantador. Menú era un poco limitado en la elección pero la calidad de la comida, la presentación y el servicio era muy bueno, y de precio razonable menú para almorzar. Yo volvería de nuevo ...

Encontramos por casualidad, nos encantó cada minuto! El servicio era maravilloso y la carne asada con pud de Yorkshire con verduras era excelente. Hermoso lugar. Prueba el pegajosa pudding toffees, no te decepcionará!

We visited here on our last night whilst staying at the Burford Caravan Club site. This is a small typical Cotswold Pub, immaculately presented in a small hamlet off the Burford to Lechlade Rd turning on the crossroads to the Cotswold Wildlife Park. A small but varied menu and after a busy Bank Holiday Weekend some of the dishes was sold out but there was a choice of two dishes of the day on the specials board together with a veggie dish, meat and fish and home made pie. Our meal was excellent, cooked fresh and all served by the friendly proprietor. Two course meal with two drinks each came to £56. We only wished we'd have had room for a sweet as they all sounded lovely. Thank you The Rose & Crown for rounding off a lovely weekend.
