Wow, wow, wow!!!!! Joe fitted us in after having a pint here in the early afternoon. I had the Beef & Guinness pie and Melissa had the Hickory Chicken. Fantastic food, generous portions, home cooked food. Decided to have a pudding, so we opted for Sticky Toffee Pudding with custard and Chocolate Brownie and custard. Food prepared with TLC, fully booked and Well worth a visit. Thank you, we will return! The pub has such a good vibe to it, the decor is perfect and has history!

Great Sunday lunch 😋 catered for 3 young children who wanted alternative to Sunday lunch and elderly father who wanted soup...which was blitzed to assist with his ability to manage eating peices. Great desserts too.

Popped in for a quick lunch meeting with a friend and was blown away by the delicious soup. Am always a fan of leak and potato soup but this leak and potato soup was divine and served with beautiful fresh granary bread. Will be back for more.

There was 17 of us coming in for Sunday lunch, drink and watch the rugby. Landlord was miserable - if he was the landlord - some Irishman. Lady on the till couldn’t understand English taking the orders. Took 20 mins to get served, couldn’t wait to get out. Never again. They were more interested in watching the rugby than taking our money. Will try a different pub in the area next time - as we walked out people outside said I wouldn’t waste your time going in there! Must be known to be a miserable place!

We’ve just had dinner at this lovely pub to celebrate our anniversary. What can I say, absolutely perfect, staff were all so friendly and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was absolutely delicious couldn’t fault it, served hot. The Stilton mushrooms omg were so good as was the chilli and the hickory chicken. Very dog friendly, shame it’s not our local as we are on a mini break. Highly recommend you try here.

On Sunday my wife and I enjoyed an excellent Sunday Roast lunch. The Nut Roast was the best she had ever had and I could not decide between pork or lamb and was offered a combi selection, some of each. The portions were plentiful, excellent variety of veg, great value for money and very friendly and efficient staff. We sat outside in a great rural location we will definitely return.

Leafield was once known as Fieldtown and this name will be familiar to the morris dancing community as many sides still perform dances in the Fieldtown tradition. Sadly, Fieldtown Morris have long disbanded, but their tradition lives on and it is easy to imagine them, in times past, dancing outside the Fox, then coming inside afterwards for a pint or six. For the Fox remains very much a cosy, traditional village pub set opposite the village green. An interesting pottery collection hangs from the wooden beams, further enhancing the character of the place. There are four handpumps, although only two were in use at the time of our visit, with a choice of the local favourite, Hooky ale, plus Hanlon's Yellow Hammer. Food is very good, with an appealing menu of reasonably priced dishes including most of the usual pub favourites plus a specials board with some more interesting options. An independent family run pub, service is unhurried and the licensees are welcoming and friendly.

Recently reopened as a sister to The Angel in Burford. Super setting and outdoor eating beside the river, nice food and a good selection of beers. Visited twice in a week.

Generous portions of usual pub fare, however we had a long wait for our food. Very dog friendly pub - a couple were in the evening we went. I would, however, recommend checking your receipt carefully as unordered drinks had been added to our bill. These were pointed out, and the bill revised, but there was no apology for their mistake. Left feeling less than happy!

Having eaten here on a Saturday evening we decided to try a Sunday Lunch - just one word - WOW! It was absolutely delicious; beautifully cooked and presented, plentiful and piping hot. Just about had enough room to squeeze in a dessert . . . Excellent hosts and atmosphere. Thank you to all involved.

As usual we found a great place to eat on our last day of the holiday. If you're losing your mojo looking for decent places to eat, then go and see Mo and Joe at the Fox, Leafield. A warm welcome awaits you in a proper pub with excellent food with very generous portions at a reasonable price too. As another review said, you'll be rolling home after a visit here. The chef was very accommodating, making a sauce for one of the meals. Just a shame we are going home tomorrow or we would have been back. Keep up the good work!

A nice coffee shop situated in the town centre and very popular with locals. They specialise in cakes so the choice of savoury mains is a little limited. Service is brisk.

We went here to get a little desert as we have been to this cafe before and saw it had quite a good range of gluten free options. They didn’t have much left in stock so we were lucky to get what we got.The gluten free cookies were delicious, tasted really fresh and like they were homemade. Also the cake was really lovely too and tasty. They clearly list the allergens of the product on the screen protector thing behind the cakes. Also tell them about any allergies when ordering.I believe their menu is 100% vegan too.The toilets were really clean too.
