Hoofs in West Oxfordshire

Absolute disgusting customer service. My partner asked for a bigger jacket potato and how fresh the cake was, which they considered rude, as a result, on the following day they refused to serve my partner the egg in a sausage, egg and bacon sandwich. I’m absolutely appalled at how they could take offence over asking about their produce items and refuse to serve items as punishment for asking perfectly normal questions. If you can’t handle customer questions regarding food they purchase and consume in this day and age, you’re in the wrong business. Seems like this place has a real vendetta against customers they don’t like, if such offends them I’d be cautious of what they’re doing to your food if your face doesn’t fit or you ask for more toppings! Deep rooted issues, bizarre and baffling. Stay away. Update: Just called the shop and spoke to Lynn the manager (I’m not one for unfair or unjust reviews) and I can absolutely say she has no idea how to converse. It’s laughable as I’ve never experienced anything like this in my whole life. Very defensive, extremely unhelpful, did not like being questioned so she put the phone down. Shockingly bad. Enjoy at your peril!

Good place for a nice cup of coffee. I’ve not tried any of the food but the staff are always friendly. Close to a kids park with parking.

A lovely little deli. Staff are very friendly and the food is delicious. They do a cracking cup of coffee and they have an abundance of sweets and ice creams. I visit weekly and have only ever found the employees to be friendly and accommodating.

Visited as a treat for a baguette and something sweet for after my lunch. The welcome was a bit snooty and instead of letting you browse and decide in your own time there's a pressure when you walk in which puts me off a place stright away. My baguette was coronation chicken , sauce was very bland and chicken was dry and not alot of it unfortunately, at £3.75 I expected alot more . I also had a piece of flap Jack which I have to say was buttery gorgeousness!! There's a huge choice of crisps, drinks and lots of sweets for the kids . Might of just been having a bad day .

Overpriced for what you get, and definitely not “home cooked”. The lady that runs it seems very rude, and seems to look down on people, not a very professional attitude.

A great choice for lunch, baguettes are really tasty and their salad bowls have so much variety. All staff are so friendly and welcoming.

Well I fancied something for breakfast, should have gone to subway they are better quality and value, I was very disappointed with my bacon roll from Hoofs, had hardly any bacon and was dry, although the shop looked nice and clean and welcoming, I could have had a much better breakfast anywhere else for less :-( sadly I won't be back in a hurry

Friendly staff, and a nice 'home made food' style bakery as such. I often get lunch here once a week or so. Only criticism is that it's quite expensive. Although it is better quality food than a standard commercial food chain, I do think they're still slightly overpriced.

We were out for a walk and decided to pop in to Hoofs for brunch on the weekend. We had our dogs so we ordered and sat outside. Simple bacon baguette but it tasted awesome.... with a friendly face to boot. Definitely worth a visit.

Hoofs es un pequeño local donde podremos confeccionar nuestros propios bocadillos con los ingredientes que nos ofrecen sus empleados. El trato es agradable y el local está cuidadosamente decorado para asemejarse a una vaquería, tiene un toque de granja. Si no nos gustan los bocadillos, Hoofs tiene también una sección de bollería y postres caseros, así como patatas fritas, bebidas y otros snacks. Es una opción recomendable para una comida rápida y para llevar.

What a fab little cafe/ sandwich bar this place is. I ordered two kid's lunchboxes (reasonably priced) and was really pleased with the quanity and quality of the food. Very generous portions unlike so many other 'kids lunchboxes' which tend to be a rip off. Quick service. I love all the different displays in this shop, showcasing the variety of things you can buy at such good prices. A right little gem,

Great food, friendly warm service. They have a nice range of fresh homemade products and are always willing to help out, do something different etc. If you want to have a nice lunch, go here

Hoofs is a unique little food shop, with a deli, coffees to go, ice cream and treats. It is a nice independently run place, with a different option for those of us on the estate.

What a great little shop to have on our estate - well worth a visit from surrounds for small deli items. Nice Coffee, great milkshakes as a treat for the kids - and a selection of sweets for them to beg you for ;) They also serve a lovely bacon butty!

I'd heard from a friend about this little gem of a shop. I had a freshly baked baguette with chicken, bacon sweet corn and mayo with salad and a very tasty slice of millionaire shortbread. The staff were friendly and helpful and there seemed to be a good mix of regular and new customers. There were a few special options that were chicken Caesar and poached salmon with lemon creme freche. The soup of the day was leek and potato and was filling the shop with a lovely aroma. I will be returning!!!

Perfect for a business lunch, all at a reasonable price with beautiful cakes and fresh coffee. The shop itself has a variety of different sweets and treats for children to enjoy as well.

Though not a restaurant, Hoofs is a hidden treasure. Offering well priced fresh coffee and various home made savouries and cakes. The shop also sells various local jams and has a wide range of novelty sweets. It has become a regular stop for us and I highly recommend it. :)
