Friendly and efficient staff, interesting food and drink menu with an Italian vibe. The cocktails are great! Love the wooden shelving, mirrors and glass decor, based on the original shop decor but elevated.

Traveled 40 miles to get there and they were closed even when their page said they were open

Noticed this bijou shop as we were attracted initially by the Groovy illuminated sign in the window advertising cloths and coffee/tea. What a surprise! We were greeted warmly by a young lady behind the counter. The main surprise was it was incredibly small, 2 individual chairs, a 2 seater retro cloth settee and an additional small seating area immediately under the counter in front of the display of cakes (not ideal) customers would literally be sitting virtually upon each other although we were the only customers in attendance at that moment in time. We had tea and 2 rather small cakes and were charged over £12! To summarise, whilst the young lady serving was friendly she fell short on what pricing of the cloths and various items for sale were if not tagged and also was rather naive in knowledge about the local town area. Overall the experience was different and the products for sale were interesting albeit scant we would not choose to return over other more spacious and better value venues locally.

This was my first visit. My daughter, who was with me, had been here before and recommended it. It was lunchtime so, although I had only planned to have a drink, I succumbed to a bacon sandwich and was amazed at the amount of bacon in it - half a pig, at least! Seriously, it was the best bacon sandwich I have ever eaten. I would certainly love to go back and perhaps try their breakfast. My daughter had cake which she said was delicious. I had their pear juice to drink and it was delicious, not tart like some are. A lovely experience!

Best roast dinner I have paid for in a very long time. Trio of meats was superb, really friendly place to have a relaxing meal.

We went twice in 24 hours because our first experience was so good. It's very welcoming - staff, atmosphere, food. Their croque monsieur is to die for. Try the mulled wine and mince pies. It helped make our visit to Sandwich such an enjoyable one. Barry & Anne London

This one get the Darwin award, most likely to go extinct.......did not like this cafe, as other reviewers have stated this is mostly because of the unfriendly lady who owns runs the place and seems to be taking cash only in order to avoid paying tax - allegedly - there are so many cheap way to take card payments that only taking cash almost always seems to indicate un-declaring income. Also the fact they close at 2.00 pm show another non-customer focused tendency. I arrived just adter 2.00 and was just about ejected from the property for asking if they were still serving.....I have eaten here before and the food was not that great and I think thy need to up their takes in light of the other great privately owned and chain owned new eateries.

Nice guesthouse in the middle of town. Still gives a good impression of an English pub in a small town.

We came in here to buy some picnic bits and pieces for a day at the beach This is what we bought and this is what we thought of it on a scale of one to 10 ..10 being excellent Hotdog sausage roll ..disgusting ..one out of 10 Normal sausage roll, cheap sausage meat 2 out of 10. Broccoli and blue cheese quiche absolutely tasteless no blue cheese and totally unseasoned one out of 10 Quiche Lorraine just unseasoned egg again totally tasteless disgraceful Ham and leek quiche, which was okay 4 out of 10 . Honestly, I was appalled by how bad it was somewhere I will not buy stuff from again. Oh I forgot the cruffin with pistachio cream, which again was not a proper cruffin and did not taste of pistachio at all. Whoever is doing the cooking here really needs to up their game we definitely won’t be back.

As a family of 5 we staggered into this delightful cafe on a boiling hot day in August 2020 and were hugely impressed with the service and freshly cooked food. Everything was fresh and hot and despite the fact that they were understaffed when we went in (and it was the end of the Government eat out to help out scheme) they were incredibly friendly and professional despite some very rude other customers. Good old fashioned food and great value for money. If I lived nearer then I would definitely be a regular customer!

Attended one of the Christmas meal evenings at this venue this evening. Staff all very pleasant. Food was excellent, the chef is brilliant. Great value for money. With regards to the entertainment, the young guy who sang was brilliant…. But I personally don’t feel it was the right type of entertainment for the venue….. for it was far too loud and no one could hear each other. May have been better, if he started later on during the evening…. Giving everyone to talk beforehand.
