Fantastic we had a 3 course meal excellent quality X the board very clean and old traditional friendly pub nice to be able to sit at the Bar for pre-dinner drinks Such a G8 find Will be returning very soon 😉

Atmosphere was very good. Value for money fantastic. I came to sandwich for a short break and ventured out for a pint. After stopping at The Red Cow and being relieved of £7 for a pint of Neckoil (I thought I was back in chislehurst) I left and stumbled 1 minute around the corner to The New Inn and was happy to only pay £3.95 for a pint of stella during 4-8 happy hour 🤔 Suits me Sir 😂 Recommend all day long. 👍👍

We had 2 sandwiches and the soup plus a round of drinks. The soup of the day was Parsnip soup which came with some bread and butter. The soup was thick and creamy. There were a few lumps of parsnip but overall a tasty bowl of soup. It was rich but the portion was the right size so the balance of flavour and quantity was just right. The brie and bacon sandwich had thick bread, the right balance of brie bacon and cranberry. It came with tortilla that had a curry flavour and salad. The prawn sandwich came with the same garish above and had nice succulent prawns and dressing / lettuce. Overall friendly service and for what was on offer tasty food. Got a decent sandwich in Sandwich.

A lovely pub lunch in here earlier today. They know how to make something simple like jacket potatos look and taste really special. Really good pricing in this clean , friendly pub. Dog friendly as well.

Stayed for one night, very nice room with good facilities, very clean, had a great night's sleep. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was excellent, very well presented and very tasty. Great pub, great b and b and great people. Thank you for a great stay, will definitely visit again.

Always a great pub eatery, the staff are great, always with a smile and an asset to the pub. The food menu caters for everyone and every time we have eaten there its delicious and filling. Music on a Saturday between 5 and 8, nice in the background. Some great characters come to the pub and always a friendly place. Well wort a try, thank you again.

Really friendly locals pub, that has a decent pub grub menu, and good selection of beers. We had the ham egg and chips followed by sticky toffee pudding. Both were really tasty and reasonably priced. Service was spot on as well.

Stopped off in sandwich on our tour of the south east, rang before we arrived to check on availability for Sunday lunch. Luckily for us they reserved us a table. Thoroughly enjoy our meal, plenty to eat , did me a double on meat because I couldn’t decide between pork or beef. Which I thought was very nice by katie, All the staff very friendly, the pub itself was super clean , very comfortable. Would highly recommend !!

From the moment we walked through the door to the moment we left, this was the perfect experience. Food and drinks were excellent, and the staff could not have been more welcoming. Unbeknown to them, it was my birthday. When, through banter, they became aware of this, they gave me a complimentary drink! A true family pub, serving a wide variety of great quality 'pub grub', we will definitely be returning soon.

You must pay a visit here as the Sunday roast was just superb. We had the roast beef with plenty of veg, trimmings and lovely thick gravy. In fact been from Yorkshire these were the best Yorkie puds we have ever had eating out since moving down here. A definite thankyou to the chef. The staff are so welcoming and cannot do enough for you. If you fancy a day off cooking this is a must place to come.

We will always call into the New Inn when we are in the area.The staff are always welcoming with genuine smiles. Having chats and banter with the regulars that go in...but never crossing the line.Their good is served quickly..but not so quickly that it's all come out of a packet...real mash with the liver and onions is a must!Very reasonably prices and perfect for either lunch time or main meal.They also have live bands in the evening, not just guitar but brass bands too , although we haven't been to those as yet. But I bet they put in a great show.

Found this excellent Pub/Hotel on a recent visit to Sandwich and what a find! Always a warm and friendly welcome from the staff and the food is excellent and good value. Although some 10 miles from where we live it has almost become 'our local' and we will be visiting again --- Often!

Unfortunately I am forced to leave a negative review. Something I have never done and hate doing. But after the way me and my friends were treated by staff, particularly one lady, on Friday 30th August, I have to share my experience. On Friday 30th August a small group of us went out to celebrate our friends 32nd birthday. We’re all local. Most of us live in Deal. We decided to head into Sandwich for a small celebration. Most of us were driving none of us where completely wasted. After heading into the first pub we made our way onto the second, which we hoped would be The New Inn. Upon arrival the door was locked. No problem we thought, as we went to turn away and very pleasant man opened the door and apologised for it being locked.

I don't usually like pubs with football on TV, or loud music, but this place had good beer, very pleasant staff and a happy, welcoming atmosphere.

We visited the new inn today to take our parents for a meal. We booked a table, which was lucky as it was so busy. The atmosphere was great, lots of people of all ages, drinking and eating. The staff are so friendly and welcoming it felt like we were locals ourselves. The food was served beautifully, all cooked fresh came out lovely and hot and altogether. Couldn't fault a thing. Such reasonable prices too.

Popped into the New Inn yesterday on a chilly but sunny Sunday. Vary busy but found a table in the corner of the bar. Food choices were either the specials board or the Sunday menu. We all (4 of us) chose from the Sunday menu and everything was table service, no standing at the bar waiting. The food was received hot with only a little wait on square plates and vegetables etc arrived in their own dishes. Dessert was also of large serving size. The staff (ladies) made us all very welcome, like we had been customers for years. A lovely lunch experience, good grub, good price and super friendly ladies. We will be back.

We stumbled across this pub on a family holiday. Our ages ranged from one to sixtyeight. We were all well catered for. On our arrival if felt a bit of a man's pub the air being a little blue but the language was soon toned down and the staff were most attentive. The food was very good pub food with a modest price. I couldn't find any fault in either the service or food.

this was one of the better pubs we used & because it was cleaner than a few of the others we ate here twice,club sandwiches for lunch,they were huge and delicious,then in the evening we found other places either too expensive to eat or hygiene not up to standards so we ate in here again,i had the rack of ribs which I thought was fantastic(meat just fell off the bones) so I didn't need to use finger bowl,which I was surprised to get as many places don't think about things like that!! my only gripe my peas which I usually love tasted like they were gritty for some reason,so had to leave them,i did report it to waiter.

The new inn sandwich is a traditional olde world pub with a nice host. Good ales and wines good prices and a good priced menu. Well done !!!

Early lunch/ snack at the New Inn on Saturday April 14th 2018 good friendly service very good soup and roll felt at home in a good friendly pub worth visiting again.

There was a need for me to stay in Sandwich on a semi-business / pleasure trip and due to the location, chose the New Inn for an over night stop. Booked the room on line which was easy and although no money was expected at time of booking , all card details taken. I arrived to check in late afternoon, and this again was an easy operation. Then taken to the room. A twin room in excellent condition and decor with period furniture also in good condition. Facilities in the room were as one would expect these days, but attention to detail was extremely good. En-suite again superb consideration and cleaned to a high standard. The all inclusive breakfast again - no complaints at all. All in all the experience of the New Inn was great and can be thoroughly recommended.

Booked this pub for our visit this Easter as we had been before and had what we considered one of the best roasts we had had in a Pub, and this time was no disappointment, We both had the Roast beef, which was excellent, and a very large portion. The roast potatoes particularly good, not the usual deep fried spuds.

In the centre of Sandwich Thorleys have a Pub away from the Mass of Ramsgate. Here you will find welcoming staff and a good food at proper prices. The Ale is kept well and the locals young and old are all made welcome, the place has a Carpark and also a place to lock your bike in full view. The Menu is good and with Easter around the corner Menus well in advance. So if you are about well worth a good meal and a Pint the Pie i had was excellent and no room for desert.

Wow! We visit every year on Mother’s Day and occasionally throughout the year! The staff are amazing, they always remember a face (and a little dog). Today was simply the best food and for an extremely reasonably price.. the children loved the proper grub.. food is served at a decent speed which allowed us time between courses.. can’t recommend this place enough! All other pubs/hotels should visit and learn from the New Inn! They are brilliant! Thank you all very much!!

Had the most delicious meal here. Roast dinner on a Sunday. Best roast dinner I’ve ever had. So good went back yesterday and had another one. Fantastic value for money. Two courses 12.95. Yorkshire pudding stuffing and pigs in blanket with every roast. Good choice of food. Plenty of food. Highly recommend a visit.

Il pub si trova nel magnifico paese medievali di Sandwich, in Kent. Il paese merita una visita e forse di soggiornarvi per un paio di giorni. Il locale è un classico pub inglese, luce bassa all'interno, bancone del bar, poltrone e tavoli con sedie per gli ospiti. Abbiamo optato per due main course del menù del giorno, ribs con chips, insalata e coleslaw per mia moglie, salmone con una salsa (non ricordo il nome), spinaci e patate novelle per me. Ottime le ribs con salsa barbecue, migliorabili le chips. Il mio salmone era invece un po' insipido e la salsa migliorabile. Non ci sono ales locali (purtroppo) quindi abbiamo optato comunque per due mezze pinte di ale inglesi. Ambiente caldo e accogliente (livello di pulizia come standard inglese). Personale cordiale ma non troppo. Prezzi nella media (in due abbiamo speso circa 22 pound).
