DiVino Wine & Cocktail Bar in Dover

Visited for the first time with a friend and had a great time! The atmosphere was relaxed and sophisticated, I particularly liked the old Victorian decor. On top of that, the food, wine and service were all excellent. I will definitely be coming back.

Visited this lovely bar last Saturday 3rd August, great cocktails, great wine and great food ( cheeses, meats and bruschetta). But what really impresses is the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere and the friendliness, attentiveness and helpfulness of the staff for whom nothing seemed too much trouble. This was our third visit and there will definitely be a fourth.

Love this place! Fascinating setting in an old grocery shop with its original fittings. Beautiful wine and the food, though from a small menu, is delicious and very well executed. The sharing platters and music paper bread are highly recommended! A big thank you to the lovely staff, especially Jason, who went above and beyond the service we’re used to. We will be back!

Lovely platters and nice ambience.

Incredible wine and food (we had the platter). The waiters were fantastic, offering great recommendations and going the extra mile to talk us through the history of the place with photos when we asked.

This place has it all, great venue, good food, buzzing atmosphere with background music, friendly staff, reasonably priced wine and good quality well presented food. A small well thought out menu that is also reasonably priced. I just love it.

If I could rate higher than 5 stars I would. Came here for a birthday dinner with my boyfriend and it was absolutely fantastic. The food was delicious and so well presented and the cocktails were the best I've had. Jason really tipped the experience over the edge giving outstanding customer service, explaining how he made the cocktails, making sure we felt welcome and at home. He really made the night fun and just all round amazing

Lovely, chilled atmosphere with polite and attentive staff. Jason makes amazing cocktails. Highly recommend the strawberry mojito and Hugo spritz. Nick puts a lot of care and work into making sure the food is an excellent standard. Veggie and vegan options available which is a huge bonus. Hidden gem of Sandwich and well worth a visit!

Fantastic atmosphere with so much history! It’s so awesome that the place has retained so much of its history. Hope to come back again very soon!

This venue is absolutely superb, the cheese board and wine were very well presented and my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our evening, we will certainly be back and the prices are very reasonable. Thanks.

Not been here for a couple of years but we returned in December and it was great again. Staff were excellent, the mood of the whole place was chilled with a good drinks selection.

Julia at Il Davinos kindly organised a wonderful party for me , as usual the service was warm and friendly. Drinks ,fabulous hot and cold food was enjoyed by all, all of my guests have let me know how much they enjoyed the evening. Thank you to all at Il Davinos for a perfect evening !

We love DaVino’s. Interesting ‘listed’ interior. Excellent authentic Italian food and great selection of wines to suit all tastes and all budgets. Very friendly engaging staff.

Divino is the spot in Sandwich! Jason made 10/10 cocktails and was incredibly lovely through-out! Could not recommend a better spot than here, always friendly people, lovely atmosphere and brilliant drinks! Will be back again and again and again.

Lovely place ! Such a gorgeous place with an incredible selection of wines and really polite staff, Jasmine was very friendly and helpful.

The restaurant interior is aesthetically pleasing and interesting, with memorabilia, postcards and pictures revealing a little of the town's history. The food we had was very good and reasonably priced too. The waiter was friendly and attentive, but not overly so. We had a very nice evening overall and would heartily recommend this delightful place. It seems popular, so book in advance; each table was taken when we ate there.

Fabulous venue for a special celebration! We chose DiVino for my private afternoon party with 30 family & friends for the wonderful ambience of this unique wine bar. Julia and her lovely team looked after us all with impeccable efficiency, providing both their delicious Antipasto and a variety of hot pasta dishes - which our guests raved about! The selection of Prosecco and wines were perfect. It’s very unusual to find such a delightful venue with equally fabulous staff. This is a very special place. A visit is a must.

Fantastic place- full of history, style and atmosphere with impeccable staff and phenominal food- enjoyed a wonderfully relaxed, sociable evening with cocktails, wine, nibbles and dinner- special thanks to waiter Sam for his service and head chef Nicholas who served up a work of art! Divinos is such a beautiful place, my favourite to drink, the vibes and decor is perfect and Jason made us feel so welcome and appreciated , making such amazing drinks and the food cooked by Nicholas was delicious! I had my 21st birthday party with my whole family here as well due to it being a favourite of mine, I would 100% recommend it both for a lovely evening and an event!

Beautiful bar / restaurant with a French bistro vibe. Very accommodating with my husbands request for a dark & stormy. My mojito was lovely. They recommended the bruschetta which was amazing and everything felt like it was made with care and fresh ingredients. Well done guys! You deserve every success. X

You may be wondering why I've entitled this review Nicholas...well! This man alone brings the 5 star rating home for DiVinos wine bar! Put the fantastic historical building and grand selection of wines aside.. you could ask this man to plate up a tin of dog food and it would come out looking Michelin star! The level of attentiveness to each and every plate has simply just not been matched.. and with eating out being one of my main hobbies that is a BIG statement! You can always guarentee the quality of DiVinos / Luigis delicious Italian food, but we are literally blown away every time this man brings your plate to the table. Always a masterpiece! Symmetry, colours, portions, positioning - literally not a single piece of pasta falling out of line! It's like watching an artist at work! If I owned a restaurant anywhere in the world, Nicholas would be the first person I would poach for the all star team! Obviously usually in attendance with a great team who will cater to all of your fine wine requirements, a big fan of this place, always on our list of regular places to visit!

Dog friendly! Reasonably priced great wines, we also had the burrata platter and charcuterie platter, both were excellent!

Went here to a surprise party yesterday. The restaurant/wine bar was really lovely. Friendly and efficient staff and the food was great. Hadn't been there before - didn't know it was there to be honest - but would certainly go there again. Thank you for a lovely afternoon!

Good cocktails, friendly staff. Best to reserve a table in advance. I wasn’t too overwhelmed with the nibbles but you can’t have everything. The decor is nice too.

Great atmosphere with original fittings of general store, large selection of wines, cocktails and excellent Italian Food. Although they had run out of Tiramisu that managed to source from Luigi's down the road. Pasta was perfectly al dente with rich tomato sauce.

Cayleigh greeted us and wad knew her wine! Bubbly but not invasive, a great host. Why Is this place empty. The meat platter was done by Nicholas the chef who needs to be far more confident in his abilities,as he's GOOD. Thus place is grown ups and food and wine lovers. Its not a kids place so a great place slip away from our younger teens?!

Staff were very friendly, food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. We hadn't intended eating, but the platters going to the next table looked so good we couldn't resist, we weren't disappointed! Simple food done well and a nice selection of drinks made for a very good evening

What a find in a little cobbled street in Sandwich. DiVino is beautifully designed, loved the lighting and the furnishings. The cocktails are truly amazing, with a great selection too chose from and they clearly use the best quality spirits and ingredients. We loved it and have already revisited.🍸🍹

DiVino has a lovely ambience and serves fabulous wines and has a small Italian Menu. It is tucked away and seemingly not advertised, so we were lucky to chance upon it. The young woman serving was excellent and utterly charming. We found Sandwich pretty dull...

Staff absolutely lovely. Dog friendly (a plus for us because as far as the kids are concerned we walking them). Cocktails are a must, and although the menu is fairly limited the food is first class.
