Glorious little cafe by Walmer Bandstand with good coffee and delicious omelettes. If you sit in the window you get a great view. You can book a table inside. Food is fresh and quick to come out. It does get busy but that is because its really good 👍

For such a great location, I had the displeasure of being served by the most passive aggressive owner I've ever come across. I came to this establishment upon a recommendation from a friend, who has eaten here several times to a satisfactory level. However, my experience was far less than this. Cold, incorrect eggs (fried instead of scrambled). Soggy, uncooked toast, and lastly, unseasoned and bland food. Coupled with the rude service I received from none other than the owner, I would say that this experience was the worst I've had in Deal. I would strongly recommend the other brunch spots within the town, which are far nicer with a more welcoming and attentive service.

Had an excellent breakfast (large English breakfast, pint of Orange juice and an espresso) at this fine establishment. Staff could not have been more pleasant, the food and drinks were perfectly prepared and presented, the seating was comfortable and the atmosphere relaxed. Would not hesitate to make a return visit.

This was my first time at The Goose on the Green having been recommended by a friend. I had the regular English breakfast, which was delicious, plus a good cup of breakfast tea. I would definitely visit again. Staff were friendly, the food was freshly cooked and prices very reasonable.

We have recently moved to the area and on a very rainy Saturday morning walked into Goose on the Green. It was the best breakfast/ brunch we have had since we have been coming here by a country mile! Alastair is an incredibly friendly and knowledgeable owner and host. Everything is locally sourced for your plate and it shows. There is a huge variety of things to try on the menu. I am sure it will be a firm favourite of ours for years to come. Thanks Alastair and team!

Nice cafe in a picturesque location on Walmer seafront. Going in for a weekend breakfast the welcome could have been better, as we were squeezed in and left dodging staff and customers, but the cafe was busy, which acts as mitigation. The food was the star though, with the breakfast being tasty and service reasonably quick

Goose on the Green never disappoints! Lovely staff, great food and a good relaxed ambience. Perfect for breakfast/lunch with veggie/vegan and gluten free options. High spot for me is the ‘Builders Tea’. So completely wonderful I had to ask which tea they used, gobsmacked when I found out which one it was! Not telling you the answer - go yourselves and find out! We even got another mug full on the house! Thank you. We’ll be back!

I Took my daughter and my dog there for breakfast today which was great as always but I was disappointed that I wasn’t allowed to put my small dog bowl down for the dog as it had a laminate floor and was directed to bowls outside ( courtyard or outside the front door) it was absolutely pouring down with rain just as we arrived. The cafe was busy so after breakfast I thought I’d have another coffee ( which is good) to pause a bit whilst the rain eased but on requesting this from male who I think was the owner that there’s other people waiting and I said I wouldn’t be long drinking it! I’ve thought this was particularly nice as I had already spend a tidy some on breakfasts and other drinks. That’s why I haves given it full marks today as. I usually do, sorry!

Was amazed when we opened the door stuffed to the gunnels with customers we only found seats as someone was just leaving so welcoming service good cheerful staff very reasonable prices would definitely re visit when we are in this area again.

What a fantastic cafe! We were visiting the area for a short break and my daughter's birthday fell on the Wednesday. She had requested American Pancakes for breakfast and an internet search uncovered The Goose on the Green, about which the reviews seemed almost too good to be true! We walked the two miles from where we were staying to work up an appetite and arrived at the stylish but unassuming cafe. The staff were warm and welcoming and the menu extensive. Between the 5 of us, we sampled a Full English, a Louisiana omelette, Eggs Royale and pancakes with Nutella, and bacon and maple syrup, washed down with apple juice, Coke or lager (I know... for breakfast...well, we were on holiday!) It was all freshly-cooked and delicious, and with us quickly. Far from being too good to be true, the reviews are thoroughly deserved and I can only add my own thanks and recommendations. Fantastic!

I popped in for brunch having previously had a takeaway bacon sandwich a few months ago which I thoroughly enjoyed. I received a really warm welcome from the lady behind the till, who found a place for me to sit despite the cafe being very busy. I ordered the large breakfast and a coffee, both of which were delicious. Service was good and my food was piping hot. There is plenty of choice on the menu, with some excellent options for vegans nd vegetarians along with meat eaters! The cafe had a lovely atmosphere and was spotlessly clean. If you are looking for a good quality meal please check out The Goose on the Green although it would definitely be worth booking, especially at the weekends!

Super vriendelijk personeel. We waren wat aan de late kant, daar deden ze helemaal niet moeilijk over. Het eten was gewoon goed. Authentiek eten wat het gevoel gaf dat je in je woonkamer zat en je mama die een omelet voor je had gemaakt.

This cafe is easily the best cafe in east Kent ( and I have been to a few being a builder). Great food, great staff and reasonably priced. If you haven’t tried it yet I highly recommend you do, you won’t be disappointed.

Absolutely fabulous! A wonderful breakfast, excellent quality ingredients-probably one of the best breakfasts I have had. Really generous portions and nothing was too much trouble for the friendly staff. It was a great buzzy atmosphere and really busy, so book ahead! It’s amazing that some people are so rude to staff. A couple were told they would have to wait around 10 minutes for a table, and rudely told the staff “well it better be 10 minutes”. I’m not quite sure how staff are supposed to predict when customers leave. Come on people, think about the human you are speaking to and whether you would like to be spoken to in the same manner! The staff here were all fabulous! :)

Excellent Veggie (customisable) breakfast, cooked well and fresh, with generous portions and a nice selection of items. Gluten free and Vegan friendly, kid friendly, pets allowed, inclusive seating- what more can you ask for? Excellent service is part of the Deal (literally!) and the coffee is to die for. Definitely recommend and the best part is that they are one of the few places open early by 8am if you’re doing an early morning walk.
