Fantastic Sunday Roast! All trimmings, loads of flavour, traditional cosy pub atmosphere, staff are lovely and attentive. Chef came out to make sure everyone was happy 🙌🏻 lovely garden area, great for bikers, cyclists and walkers. Reasonably priced and a bit of a celeb hot spot ;)

I like this chain of restaurants. Quirky decor, usually happy staff, comfy chairs. I've been to the Rugby, Uxbridge and Staines sites before. Unfortunately, this visit was not great. The kitchen staff aren't good at wearing their hair coverings. My son found a long hair in his dinner. I wanted to tell a server, but no one came to ask how our meal was. We cleared our own table. To be fair, it was Mother's Day and it looked as though staff were quite busy. After spending 80 on dinner for 4 people plus a tip (one must pay that before you actually receive the service) I was underwhelmed. I had to ask three times for the water cooler to be refilled. My own meal was served with a cold egg. The server did take it back, and the kitchen redid it, but then the egg was overcooked and hard. At that point, I gave up and just didn't eat anything for dinner.

We were looking for an early dinner last Tuesday and we found Dragon were open at a time cafes were closed and most other restaurants were not yet open for food orders. Luckily we found Dragon. We were pleasantly surprised to find the food absolutely delicious. Very good service and nice relaxing atmosphere - I recommend this restaurant and bar.

Excellent staff. Work very hard to make our visit worthwhile. The food was very good. Not the least expensive. The patio area was slightly shabby. But on a nice sunny day, who cares. The tavern sat between 2 main roads, so traffic constantly going past. Good parking area. All in all, very pleased we stopped by for a beer and lunch.

I emailed Carly as I had previously been at lunch time and had a Brie and Bacon Panini and wondered if I could have one early evening. She was very helpful and also booked me a table for 4 people at 6.30 pm on the Wednesday. We were greeted by some lovely welcoming staff. We ordered drinks and then mains which consisted of. BBQ ribs with fries, Halloumi with fries, Sausages mash vegetables with a jug of gravy, Panini and fries. Two of us had dessert which was waffles and Eton mess. The food was well presented and delicious. Highly Recommend and will definitely be returning.

I visited for the first time today with my partner and our three-month-old daughter, and it will certainly be our last. Despite there being three empty tables when we arrived, we were told they were “reserved”—a claim that quickly seemed dubious. Each time a table became free, it too was marked as reserved. We stayed for 30 mins, and those supposedly reserved tables remained empty the entire time. Meanwhile, our three-month-old baby was forced to endure freezing weather outside. While I understand Saturdays are busy, it is baffling that management could not show the basic consideration to let us use one of these empty tables, at least temporarily, to keep our baby warm. It is inexcusable to prioritise holding empty tables over the well-being of a young child, especially when those tables remained unoccupied the entire time we were there. We were told we would be allowed inside once a table was free, yet as we sat shivering outside, we watched table after table collect dust. By the time a table finally opened up, we had already finished our visit. To top it off, we paid £11.50 for two mochas and a slice of cake that looked and tasted like something from a wholesale warehouse like Costco. For that price, we expected much better quality. This wasn’t a matter of being entitled. I understand the challenges of hospitality, but common sense and decency should have prevailed. Allowing a family with a young baby to take an unused, empty table temporarily isn’t a difficult or unreasonable ask. Instead, we experienced poor management, lackluster service, and disappointing food. I would not recommend this establishment to parents with young children or anyone expecting decent service and quality for their money.

Had the pleasure of visting The Tower Bank Arms for dinner. We arrived for pre dinner drinks in the bar where the daily handwritten 'Specials Board' listed 2 starters & 2 mains in addition to the main a la carte menu. A stand out on the specials main was the 'Shin of Beef' braised accompanied with herb mashed potato and seasonal veg for a very reasonable £20.95. Mind made up on that one! Our pre booked table for dinner was in the dining room with the bar area also set out for dinner lit by candlelight. The main was exceptional - honestly delicious with marbled fat which contained all the flavour. What a start to proceedings! For dessert I opted for Sticky Toffee Pudding (my own and Grandson's favourite) which hand on heart at age 55 I can say was the best I have ever had. A moist sponge swimming in a river of lovely sauce accompanied with a cinder toffee ice cream. Unbelievable, so much so I popped in the next afternoon for a pint and complimented the Manager for such a lovely dinner. 4 real ales on tap (3 Hawkshead & 1 Barngates) - log fire warming the room on a cozy cool spring afternoon & evening. Service spot on. Locals friendly. Would I recommend? Absolutely. Will I be going back? Absolutely. Thanks to the team at The Tower Bank for a great experience.

Service was slow but the staff were friendly and seemed a bit overwhelmed! It was a Sunday tho but the place wasn’t very busy. I’ve added this picture for people to make up their own minds on whether this feels right to do!? Should I lie to get a free coffee?

A wonderful weekday lunch in a beautiful setting. We sat in the dining room which was very quiet. Attentive and helpful wait staff (sorry only got Lauren's name). Tasty food, good sized portions (no room for dessert though the choices nearly tempted me!) Would definitely visit again for a special occasion! Thank you :)
