This used to be a good pub. But one staff member is a raging alcoholic. Serving drinks when absolutely off his face, shouting at children and threatening people with violence. It's a shame because I liked going here but it was constant. The other staff are really nice though despite this I feel so sorry for them for having to put up with that!

We were lucky enough to win a Sunday lunch for 4 people in a raffle with William Cobbett primary school's Christmas fair, for which The Albion kindly donated such a kind prize. Service was great, and the starters & roast portions were extremely generous, so much so we didn't have room to try any of the puddings this time. As we were without children we stayed 4 hours and made the most of a nice afternoon. Many thanks to the staff for being so welcoming. We're so pleased to find a great Sunday roast so nearby to us, so we will be back.

We had a wake in the Albion which went well. Good beer , a bit expensive, but a good atmosphere. The food was good. Good outside area for a town pub.

First time visiting the Albion this weekend with a couple of friends as we spent a few nights in Farnham. Great local pub with such a warm welcome from David and all the regulars, you would honestly think we had been going for years we were made feel so welcome. Karaoke on Friday night was a great laugh, some excellent singers and overall a great atmosphere. We booked the Sunday roast and were not disappointed. The roast beef was outstanding, the whole meal was delicious, highly recommended. Really appreciate the hospitality from David, we are already planning to go back at some point next year. Unfriendly to non-regulars, particularly uncomfortable for women.

Welcomed and well looked after. I am unsteady on my feet, and got help with carrying the drinks. The food is so good that people only seem to talk between courses. One of the best roast meals that l and my three fellow dinners have had.

It's a drinking hole like the good old days. Food only served on Sundays, but they do snacks. So if you're looking for freshments only Monday to Saturday, then this is the place for you. We had a drink and crisps and sat outside. There is plenty of space to sit in or out, and it's dog friendly. 🐕

We held my dear mother's wake here on the 26.5.23. Davey and Kieran could not have done anything more for our family. Polite and attentive to anything that we asked for and their help and suggestions for our Mums last journey was beyond what was asked of them. The food was exceptional. Fresh and well thought out. Their supplying of a toast for our whole family was a great gesture. Cannot recommend these guys highly enough. Thanks for everything you done for us Davey and Kieran, our mum would be very proud of you both.

We spent a great night here after good communication from David, table booked and football watched . Nice Curry too and great value at £ 10 . Proper Pub.

This is a really friendly pub with good beer on tap and great music.

We had booked up on Sunday 13th November at 15:00 for six people to have the superb Sunday Roast. The place was packed with Remembrance Sunday Guests and bagpipes being played outside. A really lovely atmosphere greeted us when we arrived. We had a table reserved around the side area without any TV etc and with this place you have to order your food at the bar and pay for it then. The meals which came out were just amazing with excellent portions. Three of us had the Roast Lamb, one had Pork, one had chicken and finally the last person had the Nut Roast. Cannot fault the food or service at all. Car Park can get very busy so best to walk or get dropped off. Thank you for a great time.

We had been to Ascot for the day to celebrate our youngest sons 30th Birthday. On our return early evening we had arranged with Davie to have a buffet food/meal laid on for the 30 travellers. Davie did us proud and the platters of sandwiches, sausage rolls, wraps, chips, pies etc filled everyone up and there was still tons left over. Finally the patrons then joined in as the food was superb and the quality excellent. Davie had also organised a karaoke night for us to enjoy but some teething problems with the DJ's equipment did cause some issues at the beginning. Finally the birthday boy Chris got up and sang his heart out with his girlfriend Chloé which was brilliant fun. Great evening after such a brilliant day.

Arguable the best ale in Farnham centre, with a big seating area outside.

the waitress was super attentive and very kind, we were well received, the karaoke was very happy and I loved celebrating my 70th birthday there with my family.

Lovely pub! Fantastic staff, the landlord Davey is a gem! There karaoke night on a Friday is really good fun!

After walking into Farnham we had decided to call in here and have a drink with lunch on Friday 24th June. Unfortunately they do not serve lunches during the week which was a real shame. We have eaten here many times before and the Sunday Roasts are superb and the evening meals terrific. Anyway we stayed and had a drink each and had a nice chat with the owner David. We do like the Albion as it has a lot of character and a great atmosphere usually although today it was quite empty.

Fantastic Sunday lunch yesterday, the food was top notch best roast in Farnham 10/10

Chose the Albion because it was central for our party and Wednesday night is Quiz Night. Add to that a decent food menu and it promised to be a good evening? Not quite. when we asked about food we were told that the pub weren't doing any, but the Takeaway van in the car park would take our orders and bring the food in when it was ready. Ok, not ideal but at least it's something. Did the pub have any menus? err no! did the van have any menus to take inside so we could choose? err no again, the only one they had was glued to the counter! Eventually we got our food which was ok, although I'm not sure gravy served in a plastic basket full of holes is a good idea! Anyway onto the Quiz, or not as it turned out. Should have got suspicious when both TV's had the football on and no hint of a Quiz. When asked we were told there was no quiz, even though we checked that afternoon! So to recap, the web site says food( outside!), Quiz night on Wednesday(when they feel like it)

Food and service absolutely too quality never disappoints

At the start of lockdown, Mum became housebound so we had to find a quality source for a good value Sunday Lunch when we made our weekly visit. We tried our previously 'good' Sunday venue however, the standard of the takeaway food was not up to the usual eat-in standard.We tried various pubs in the Farnham area then discovered he Albion. What a difference! Excellent food in quality, value and choice and flexible in small requests for our selection. Very generous in the food amounts to satisfy the hungry for Sunday lunch. Great staff who also give you a warm welcome that comes from having a great landlord! Nine months and still going!

Just finished a Sunday roast for 6 of us, it was AMAZING. Piping hot, huge portions, just utterly delicious. Cannot wait until we can visit in person. Will be ordering takeout roast again without a doubt.

Roast Sunday lunch during lockdown has been fantastic. Highly highly recommend this place for quality, quantity and great friendly service.

Wow!! Had a Covid friendly takeaway Sunday roast and it was simply amazing. Portion sizes are large and the quality is brilliant. Process was easy too. Order by phone on Friday and pick up during your time slot from the car park entrance. Would recommend it to anyone.

5 of us booked dinner at the Albion for 7.30 on the wednesday. We arrived at 7.38 after struggling to find parking, instantly we noticed there was no attempt at covid safety guidelines or social distancing, it was rammed. When we approached the young waiter asking about our booking they pretended as if the booking had been made for 7.00, which obviously wasn’t the case. A disagreement ensued when all of a sudden the landlord who seemed dishevelled and inebriated intervened and started shouting and screaming at us that we were late and “ could kiss goodbye to our table “ evidently they had panicked and given up our table without due warning and tried to hide their error. The landlord then proceeded to square up to one of our party shouting and screaming like a madman at him whilst shoving him out of the pub and threatening us. It was a very nasty experience. DO NOT go to this pub by any means, diabolical behaviour from the landlord, complete disregard for Corona Virus safety rules and an overall Hell Hole !

Lovely pub, myself and my partner ordered the roast chicken for our Sunday dinner, half way through we seen pink, so we kindly said to the bar lady could we exchange it to which they brought out the beef, we couldn't enjoy it as the manager turned the gravy sour by annoucing to the whole pub that the chicken, if anything was over cooked but with a slight tint of pink, he clearly doesn't know much about food. You can keep your over cooked pink chicken mate.

After reading good reviews ( which is very strange given the experience ) , Sunday dinner chicken was pink and when you send your food back ( quietly as not to alert other customers to give them the benefit of the doubt ) , the attitude of the landlord / owner was nothing short of rude and disgusting . He came over while we were eating our second plate , and we had asked for the beef as we could not stomach looking at the chicken, advised us that If anything they chicken was overcooked ( so not then cooked correctly either ) - which it wasn’t , as apparantley chicken is meant to be pink / red . We told him you can’t be too careful with chicken and we weren’t happy with the quality , to which he announced across the whole pub that we were wrong . Now we paid for the meal on full , never asked for any discount , we only wanted a nice Sunday lunch . I couldn’t even eat the beef given his attitude as I just wanted to leave . Extremely unprofessional , rude and probably the worst experience in a pub I have ever had . On a positive the 2 girls behind the bar were lovely , as was the young waiter who brought the food out . So if you want a lovely Sunday dinner , there is a pub called the hen and chicken around a ten minute drive away - lovely staff , beautiful food , and a definite Sunday dinner experience

We came here for Sunday Roast on 16th Feb. We had booked up in advance for two tables with one group of 9 and another group of 7. As we were such a big group we were asked in advance if we could give a choice of which Sunday Roast we would like. The Choice was Chicken, Lamb, Beef and Pork. We arrived at 13:30 for our meal was at 14:00. The atmosphere was terrific with people from all walks of life. There were families with children and some people with small dogs etc. If you do not want to be in a pub with big TV screens then maybe this is not the place for you. We however stayed all afternoon and watched both the Premier League matches in full. The meals are all absolutely superb and the portions so vast that you would never need to have a starter or dessert. We had three people in our party who were really only able to have a small roast. We asked if this was possible to do and they said yes we can do them all a Kids portion. The rest of us had the full Monty as they say. The three having the kid’s portion meals still found they had too much to eat. I had the Chicken which turned out to be actually half a roast Chicken. There was stuffing balls and two pigs in blankets with a lovely Yorkshire pudding and three roast potatoes on my plate. They then bring out a number of side dishes full vegetables with new potatoes and also a dish of Cauliflower Cheese. Each plate had its own separate jug of beautiful gravy. OMG it was amazing and faultless. My roast chicken cost £11:95. The roast Beef & Lamb meals were £12:50 each. The Kids Roast Beef & Lamb meals were £8:50 each. Our whole bill for the food only, (9 people) was £99:95, which we thought was really terrific value. It is certainly worth booking in advance as the Sunday Roasts are especially popular. Thank you for an amazing meal.

Visited the Albion for a family birthday lunch. We had the roast and as always it was delicious. The staff cannot do enough for you, the service was superb, the landlord and landlady are super friendly and helpful and they make your day very special. In my opinion this is the best pub in town and can’t wait to visit again.

We came here as a family of 10 and had a lovely roast. The food was good and lots of it and the service was great and it was a nice friendly pup.

We came to this pub for dinner as we were staying in a hotel nearby for a friend’s wedding. The food was quite good and after dinner we were just chatting and enjoying the company. If it ended like that it would have been a really lovely evening, but of course it didn’t. When we left, I realised my hotel key card was missing. I went to go back inside pub but the door was blocked by an elderly man. He used some rather nasty and vile comments basically saying I can’t come back in. He even pushed me out the way when I tried to go past. I was so shocked but I eventually managed to squeeze past. The landlady behind the bar looked at me as I came in and asked what did I need. I explained that I just left my hotel card. I found it in the same place we were sitting and on my way out the elderly man was just sitting at the bar. Clearly he was a local. It was obvious the landlady saw everything that happened but just chose to ignore it instead. Just left feeling absolutely horrible. I definitely won’t come back here! Just absolutely disgusting behaviour.

The Albion is a lovely, traditional, family run pub that do the best roast dinner I’ve had out for years. As a result of three previous, delicious Sunday dinners there, I chose to go there for a birthday Sunday lunch with my parents, husband and children. As always, the staff were welcoming and accommodating, the food was excellent and the day was lovely. I received a drink on the house from the landlord and when my new baby begun to cry during our meal, the lady behind the bar came and rocked/walked his Pram for me to get him to sleep to help me enjoy my meal! What a star! Thanks :)

We called in to see friends who had booked up in advance for Sunday lunch 22 Dec. We sat down with them and watched the Chelsea - Tottenham match and had a really lovely afternoon. The food here is literally superb and the portions and quality absolutely amazing. This is a very traditional old pub with a brilliant service and regular patrons. It speaks volumes when you see how busy the place is. If you haven’t booked a table in advance I would be sure you would be disappointed. It’s really lovely that you can have the match playing on the big screen and yet this is not the dominating aspect. Families are having a great time and the screen doesn’t bother anyone (Only the score when your team is losing) Anyway we love coming here and enjoying the atmosphere. The food is perfect home cooked food and simply amazing portions so you would never go hungry. Certainly give it ago. There is ample parking at the back but if this is full then there are several side streets and the main road you can park on.

We had called in here on Saturday afternoon/evening and found an extremely lively and busy pub so we stayed. We ended up watching a football match and having several beers which are reasonably priced. The staffs are all very efficient and make you feel very welcome. We do really like going in here.

Really not sure where the time goes! Had the good fortune of being introduced to the Albion by what must be one of the finest taxi drivers, Silas from SQ Taxis (‘Super Quick’). From the moment I walked in, Ali had a super welcoming smile and was quick on the draw with a pint of Stella.

We called in here having booked up a meal for 8 people on Friday afternoon 5th July 2019. We had pre - ordered in advance as we never arrived until 13:30. We were all absolutely stunned by the sheer size of our starters and main meals. The quality of the food is always brilliant and I can only say positive upbeat comments on everything here including the service of the staff. Please certainly give it ago as you will not be disappointed.

I went with friends to watch the champions league final in this pub

We had been walking for a while and decided to stop in for a drink as it was a nice day, worst choice we ever made. The man with glasses was so loud and rude and stood over our table staring at my partner, very uncomfortable and vile language.

30 years since I went to this pub. Much more of a welcoming family pub now, bright and nicely furnished with a very friendly landlady. Had Sunday lunch which was really good, very reasonably priced & I only needed the half portion. A very good selection of ales too. Can’t fault this pub. Will be back.

Went in because the smell outside was so good! Was Easter Sunday so most tables booked but really friendly and welcoming and sat us at a table which wasn’t booked for an hour. Amazing roast beef and plenty of it. Will be back!

Due to a very untimely accident to Chef and landlord this years Burns night was cancelled. So Haggis is in the menu and I was treated to a wonderful plate complete with a delicious peppercorn sauce. Farnham get it while it lasts, I know I will be. Fortunately Dave is making a good recovery.

Okay, so the pub is quite removed from the center and not only this the prices for this pub are very very high when you consider that the better pubs in the center are either cheaper or the same price. This over hiked price however will give you, zero additional service and will provide you with no atmosphere to drink in.

I have been in The Albion many times and always found a warm welcome from both the locals and the staff. The atmosphere is very friendly and there are regular bands which make for a great night. If you get the chance try the food, especially the roasts. The value and quality makes it well worth the visit

I Visited the Albion Tavern with a group of friends from my Advertising course at the local university. The pub was fairly empty as we entered as a large group, everyone from my group were respectful and friendly to the locals and staff (not being loud) I brought my drink and sat outside in the smoking area. the rest of the group came outside later and as there were no other patrons outside they moved two tables together. I noticed a man (who had clearly been drinking) approach the table and begin to be very rude to the people on the table, he then began shouting and pointing his finger at my girlfriend, so I stood up as I believed he may get physical. I spoke very calmly to the man and said that we had done nothing wrong. at this point the barman came out and said that we should leave despite us doing nothing wrong. so we did . I later learned that this man is the landlord of this pub as someone who has been a bar manager in the past I find this behavior to be abhorrent and I would strongly recommend anybody avoid this pub

Visited this pub with some friends, very horrible service. Man with glasses was very rude and agressive towards us, we left immediately and will never be returning!

Four of us came here on Sunday 12 August. What an absolutely amazing Roast we all had. In fact they were so big that both wives left food which the staff put into plastic dishes for them to take home. The food was exquisite and of exceptional quality. It can get lively in the bar area if that is where you are seated as they do have the sport on the big screens. This never bothered us only the defeat of the Gunners was disappointing. Anyway enough about that and back to The Albion. Certainly worth booking in advance as it does get very busy. Really cant fault the service of the staff. Parking is on a first come first served basis and it does get full. If you have pondered over coming here and never done it, give it ago as the reviews on the food and atmosphere here will be worth while.

Traveled down from Scotland as we were visiting relatives in the area and went for food and drinks a couple of nights,could not fault anything, friendly staff could not do enough for us and the food was excellent well worth a visit.

A fantastic roast dinner, excellent portion sizes and a separate serving dish of piping hot vegetables and new potatoes, what's not to like! The bar staff are efficient and extremely friendly, while landlord had us in stitches! A fantastic family atmosphere in a thriving non-themed pub. Will definatley be returning!

Been here many times to drink. Tried to eat Sunday lunch before without booking, that didn’t work way too busy. So finally came for lunch on a Friday. Absolutely great pub grub. Good quality ingredients cooked well and presented properly. Great value too. I will have to remember to have dinner here next time I watch a football match here. Some nights the kitchen is closed and they allow you to order a takeaway and provide all table ware needed. A really good pub well run and very friendly.

I really love this pub! So friendly, welcoming and hospitable. I normally do not like New Years Eve but I was with lovely people in a fabulous happy atmosphere. Great food, pipers and not forgetting the very hard working staff!
