Coffee - 2.3/ 5 Cake - 4.7/5 Vibe - 4/5 The coffee was okay, I’d come back to see if it were just an ‘off’ shot. The real star of the show was the carrot cake. I felt myself savouring every mouthful and my heart almost skipped a beat when some almost fell off the plate. Staff were lovely.

Left house/ car keys in toilet of cafe, left message in evening when realised and attended following day. Staff brusque/dismissive/disinterested and denied knowledge. Didn’t want to take my number. After searching everywhere and about to order new ones, returned to cafe 3 days later to discover they had them. Said their phones didn’t work and confusion over where they had put them! Zero customer service and now x customers

The worst bacon roll I've had Awful Bacon must have been cooked the day before One side of sandwich wet, the other rock hard. Awful

First of all, I found a bogey on my coffee mug! Secondly the barista, who looked as if he hadn’t slept, told me I look like Donald Trump. Very rude. Tables also covered in white muck… not sure what that was! When I eventually got my coffee it tasted like dishwater! Not worth the 34 minute wait. Will not be returning

This cozy little spot was just the place I needed in my morning. The chai was lovely and they even had gluten free carrot cake! Yum!

Probably the best place in town to get coffee. The iced Americano isn't watery and the coffee itself is really good with great notes. Iced chai is also delicious and a good blend of cinnamon and sweetness

This cafe is brilliant. An independent place where the staff make it: they're so friendly and make you feel instantly at home ❤️ Delicious, high-quality coffee (I recommend the flat white!) and yummy food, in a unique and trendy setting. Fab! Come on down for a visit 🙂

I asked the baristas whether the chai latte on their menu is completely daily free or not, to which I received a very sure Yes if made with non-dairy milk. Being allergic to dairy, I later found out it wasn’t. I suspect the chai powder most likely contained milk powder which they didn’t know (and we’re not talking here just levels of cross contamination). The staff should really do some allergy/intolerance training and how to check for these things on the ingredients list before simply saying “Yes”!

Really nice outdoor area, which is great when the sun is shining. My partner and I had the falafel and hummus wrap from the specials board and it was very tasty. Overall, great little independent coffee shop with a nice range of options and good service.

Friendly staff who genuinely seem to care about what they are doing which is great to see, a little cramped inside but I find it adds to the character. Very tasty coffee one to revisit in the future.

We came to this place as it looked very cosy but it went downhill from there. We had two “toasted” bacon sandwiches, only one slice was toasted, we also asked for crispy bacon on one of the sandwiches but it wasn’t. We were not asked how the food was and the service wasn’t great. I would say a bit pricey for what it was (£7,5 per “sandwich”). The lemon cake and the coffee were okay. We saw different lovely cafes on the same street so I would recommend having a look around first.

A friendly and warming atmosphere with lovely staff, delicious food and great tasting coffee. The hummus and falafel wrap was warm and tasted great. Upstairs seating in addition to a small selection near the window. Definitely like to visit again. Thank you ☺️

Lovely atmosphere here. Was served by Becky who was so lovely and super helpful and after discussing our likes and favourites recommended the Cafe Bombon. New on the menu and utterly delicious. Good kick for coffee lovers and slightly sweet. Thoroughly enjoyed it! The toastie as usual was delicious - hot, fresh and full! Thank you!!

I'm in Farnham on business every fortnight and I always make a beeline for this place. Coffee is always good, food too (have to be cruel to myself so I don't overindulge) and the atmosphere whether seated upstairs or downstairs always has a good vibe. Thoroughly recommended. 👍👌

Really nice vibe and ambience. Feels like a high quality coffee shop in ambience and decor with good seating, nice bar, etc. Unfortunately poached eggs were overcooked (not runny but cooked through). The juice on menu sounded like it would be very good high end juice but was not much better than orange juice and only mediocre. Coffees were good not exceptional. So felt like actual food and drinks here can be further improved.

Quickly popped in to get some takeaway bits. Friendly staff member and lovely pistachio and cranberry cake. The cheese twist (heated) was life changing!

Love it. Been to Farnham couple of times now on "business"and always come to the Barista. Great food drink and service and a friendly atmosphere with everyone here. Lovely garden. Blond JO behind the bar is gorgeous in every way. She works very hard to ensure everyone is happy ... ..had to come to Farnham again but silver lining is lunch today at this great cafe. Jo serves me well again and i am fed and watered to high satisfaction. The eggs and pancakes are delish. 'thanks' to EE ineptitude i am back! a delicious tuna melt and some banter with Blondie(JO) has cheered me up a bit THANX...scott x

Cant praise this cafe enough! Best breakfast ever i keep coming back for the smashed avocado on sourdough with poached eggs and chilli oil. Consistently great coffee, welcoming friendly warm staff and a lovely relaxed environment and ambience.

An experience I'll never forget, and by which all others will be rated. Lots of staff, too 'busy' to acknowledge me on arrival. Paid up front, including being presented with the gratuity screen! Thinks 'you haven't done anything yet apart from ignore me'. Waited way too long for a pot of tea. Tea had mostly gone cold when, after half an hour, I had to ask a member of the uncommunicative and sullen staff where the food was. No feedback, but some time later the food arrived with a barely bothered apology for the long wait. Chilly, mashed avocado on a stingily thin slice of sourdough toast, gone cold, on a cold plate, topped with a tiny lukewarm over-poached gone hard egg. The warmest and tastiest bits were the grilled / fried baby tomatoes. To eat this I had to get up and get my own cutlery as the staff seemed to have done their job! Nicely presented plate but for nearly a tenner on the 'lunch' menu it was dissatisfying. The tea was stone cold by then. One slice of cake with two forks, for my partner and I (who had a toastie, equally late / forgotten) and another half hearted apology arrived. If the place wasn't so crowded and had we not sunk so much time already I would have addressed at least the delay, service and food quality issues directly. The off-putting staff attitude and general atmosphere was rather off-putting though and another matter entirely. And for this, a gratuity was solicited.

Just had impromptu visit to the Barista Lounge with my work colleagues for a birthday drink. The service was impeccable, we were greeted by a lovely warm smile too. There's a lovely atmosphere throughout and upstairs cosy dining. Really lovely feel to the coffee shop. It was inadvertently mentioned that it was my birthday and after we receive our drinks, the owner came back to the table with a beautiful piece of coffee & walnut cake with a candle - on the house ! Such a lovely gesture and made my day. Will definitely be back at the weekend to sample the food menu. Thank you !

I dropped in today with my little grandson to get takeaway coffees and croissants for a couple of tree surgeons (my son and another) who were working close by. Yes was expensive but the service was exceptional. When we left the lady came out and treated us to a millionaires shortbread recognising that I had spent quite a lot. We were both just blown away - my young grandson said "what a nice thing to do" You've got yourself some new customers x

This is a hidden treasure in Farnham. A lovely location with beautiful views of St Andrew’s church and a lovely garden. Everyone of the staff are warm and welcoming, and they remember you. Wonderful coffee and delicious homemade food - we particularly love the wonderful scones and the cheese straws. The most relaxing place in Farnham and, if we’re lucky, our Friday morning treat.

Dear Manager of Barista Lounge. I've recently moved to the local area. The great reviews and pics drew me in to visit. That being said I hate to be the bearer of bad feedback as my experience was surprisingly quite the opposite. Upon entrance, the young lady at the counter who served me (Jess) may have not been having such a great day. Caveating that it was my first visit, I asked whether there was seating upstairs, and her response was you'll have to check upstairs (i.e. yes there is seating also upstairs if any available). I also asked whether it would be possible to have the coffee after the lunch. The response was yes of course whatever you like. The coffee arrived before the lunch. Another lady who served was kind enough to remove it and would bring another after. At the same time the table number was removed. Jess was nearby and with my ignorance I mentioned that the table number had been removed just in case they weren't aware. Her reaction was certainly felt to have attitude and to make me feel awkward for flagging this. 20 mins after another lady popped up to see if I'd like the coffee now and I asked whether it would be possible to have the lunch first that I ordered. 25mins in, the chef brought over lunch and was apologetic for the delay and confusion. I decided to take out coffee given the awkward atmosphere. Whilst waiting, I observed another customer asking Jess to wipe the table she was sat at. Couldn't help but notice how Jess addressed this with a friendly smile. Although the chef and the other lovely lady who served were polite, the overall experience left me feeling not welcomed. I very rarely give negative feedback and hope that the lady who served me was simply having a bad day with me getting the brunt of it and that the experience doesn't lead me to wonder anything else.

I had a lovely time here thanks to the wonderful staff, who were very welcoming, Jess was the best! The little garden is wonderful and the upstairs is perfect for my studies. The food options are great in comparison to the other coffee shops in town; easily my favourite place to get a coffee.

I come here occasionally for coffee and cake and it never disappoints. I always get a friendly welcome and there is a nice homely lounge area upstairs where you can read and relax in peace. Cake portions are generous and there is always a good selection. Tap water is freely available which is a nice touch.

A gorgeous little cafe with loads of great food and drink options, a great view of Downing Street to people watch, and lovely secret garden out the back :) But most notably - the best service in town! Jo (the manager) is sooo lovely and kind and even comforted me when I was sad after dropping my son off at school for the first time. Currently eating the almond croissant - delicious! Highly recommend a visit :)

What a treat. Popped in for a coffee as we were early for an appointment. Gorgeous mocha (my fave) and a slice of lemon drizzle. Super service. Mega friendly. Nice music. Good crowd, busy but not too busy. And the smashed avocado on toast looks amazing. Planning to return soon. An absolute gem on Downing Street.

Stopped here whilst out shopping as it looked busy and buzzy inside so thought that was a good sign. It definitely was! We sat inside and ordered a fish finger sandwich and quiche and salsad, both were delicious, good quality and quantity and served by some lovely friendly staff. We then took cake outside in to the garden, what a lovely spot on a sunny day, a real sun trap. When we left we took a take away coffee with us, it was good, I like a cortado and a lot of coffee shops don’t really know what that is, but it was perfect. So glad I found this coffee shop , enroute from the car park to all the shops I need so will definitely visit again when I’m in town😊

I want to start by saying a big thank you to Jo Lawrence the manager who took over 4 months ago, and her staff members for making our gathering feel more special. It was raining so we booked a private room upstairs. Waaw! They were really busy, yet thé service was unbelievably amazing, they kept coming to check on us and make sure the table was cleaned regularly, and we had enough, tea, coffee, water, and food. Speaking of food the bread for the sandwiches was delicious, and the fillings were adapted to our cultural requirement. If you’re looking to meet up with friends, or host a family get together, this is the place to go.

Popped on here for a coffee with a friend. The coffee was delicious. The staff were awesome! Particularly the lady serving who couldn’t do more to be helpful and was a joy to chat with!

Popped in with my wife for coffee. The staff were friendly but our coffees were horrible. Really unpleasant taste - so nasty we both left most of our drinks. Whoever chose their coffee beans made a very poor choice. Will not be returning.

Came to Farnham for a short break and I was glad to encounter this cafe! It has a lovely cosy atmosphere and is surprisingly spacious with a garden and upstairs work space area. Coffee and food was delicious and there are a lot of options. The baristas were also very lovely and friendly. A great spot to go by yourself to relax or catch up with a friend 😊

One of my favorites cafes in the world! Very homely, community feel. Young, old, working, studying, chatting; it's the perfect mix of do your own thing or be chatty. The staff are so lovely especially the lady with short blonde hair. It's a true community cafe, that's very work/study friendly! Reasonably price & gorgeous outside areas + standing tables

I really recommend visiting this cafe for lunch or a drink. It's very cosy and friendly. There's a good menu, including good options for a vegan friend in our group. Recommend the avocado on toast and the milkshakes! It's dog friendly too which is a bonus.

Breakfast - the porridge was a healthy option, a clearer signage of where the CR would be helpful for the staff and customers, saves time in asking for both parties. Nearest car park is approximately five minutes walk.

Met up with a friend for coffee and cake and hada really excellent capucinno and custard pastry sadly the chocolate cake was quite heavy and the decaf coffee wasnt great. Would return another time andjust avoid the cake.

Would highly recommend this cafe - great tasting coffee, and tasty banana cake - nice atmosphere inside, too. We sat upstairs on comfy chairs round the window. The staff were friendly and efficient. Our group also had oat milk and coconut milk, so that was a bonus. Would definitely return! Thank you

Visited as a family of five. It was baking hot but the interior was slightly cooling as we opted not to eat outside in the garden. Ordering a variety of drinks and dishes, no-one was disappointed. My own beef bagel and dressed salad was good...

23/5/22 First time to this coffee shop. Shop is a little small but plenty of seating to the rear in the garden. Ordered a coronation chicken bagel which seemed a bit pricey but it was generously filled with a tasty bit of salad so fair...

Really nice ambience and good food. Especially love the salads that come with most of their meals, really fresh and delicious!

This place scores high on the Woo-ometer…delightful staff, clean and well appointed decor and excellent quality food. I love it when a side salad is notched up in standard with the inclusion of blueberries and cranberries. The outdoor eating area is a tranquil sun trap. Easy to whittle away the hours here. 😃👏🏻
