The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in South East

A very interesting cafe tucked away down a side passage to this whole food shop. Greeted by the aroma of tasty smells. Ideal for a coffee stop. There were many books and newspapers to keep one amused. There was a selection of healthy foods on offer but essentially I visited with a friend for coffee. No background music which is good as we had a good uninterrupted conversatiin.

Had a very unexpected visit today. Spent the whole morning running errands and shopping around town and realised I was flagging fast (heavily pregnant) and hadn’t eaten a thing since the night before. Tried eating at the cafe in Victoria Place only to be told they were short staffed and couldn’t serve the area of tables set out. Great. Sent away (along with others waiting) and walked out looking for somewhere else. Walked in to Poppins and immediately greeted and to sit anywhere I pleased. I grabbed the first table and had immediate service approach. Friendly and cheerful. I just had a simple breakfast sandwich and a mug of tea. Delicious. It’s simple fare but just what I needed. I certainly prefer to support a business like this with friendly and tasty food rather than a chain that don’t value their patrons. Will pop in next time I need a quick pit stop for refuelling.

Sunday lunch. OK food. Nothing to rav about. The setting is fantastic. Worth a visit but lower your expectations so you are not disappointed.

The best bagels and salads ever!!! I can always count on an amazing lunch and Rolo Rolls is the best ice cream to get on a hot day.

Do not come here! I saw a senior member of staff be excessively aggressive toward a younger member of staff, right infront of me! Negative working environment and not very inviting for customers!

Not what I expected. Coffee served in paper cups to have at a table. Service really sullen… seem dispirited. Coffee seemed stale although they say they roast once a week ( not sure where that is ). Really just a slightly upmarket Pret a manger.

Very accommodating, three lovely sausage sandwiches and drinks. Reasonable prices, excellent service. A little gem!

I don't usually write reviews for chains but I was in this costa in the morning of 03/05/24 and the staff were absolutely lovely! I didn't catch any of their names but those serving were so friendly and created such a welcoming environment. Hopefully this reaches them!

Coming from France to Oxford to help my daughter to settle , We didn’t know where to have a quick bite for Lunch . Well , This is the place ! We tried their paninis ! They are delicious !

Lovely spot on a nice day. Dog friendly and great coffee. Parking can be a bit difficult if busy. Very friendly.

You know this is a great cafe when you go with friends two days in a row and you still want to go again! The menu is fabulous; wholesome, interesting and beautifully presented. The coffees are the best around, especially the cortado. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. Perfect spot for brunch, lunch or just a coffee & cake; highly recommend!

This morning I stopped by for Breakfast (A Small fry up) I found the atmosphere in the cafe nice and friendly and the staff were pleasant and the service was great. The food was very good and enjoyable and I found the options on the menu to be broad but affordable which is needed in this current times.

The best spicy margaritas, all the cocktails looked so good, really extensive tequila and mezcal menu. No frills bar, really good drinks.

I cannot recommend this little place highly enough. My favourite coffee by far. Excellent taste excellently made. Top baristas! Well done ladies!! You make my day!!

My partner and I found Gladys May Cakery on Saturday morning while walking around Ryde we both had a sandwich and cake and a drink we would go back again very nice
