Real Eating Company in Canterbury

Not what I expected. Coffee served in paper cups to have at a table. Service really sullen… seem dispirited. Coffee seemed stale although they say they roast once a week ( not sure where that is ). Really just a slightly upmarket Pret a manger.

My son and I come in here at least twice a week,the service is excellent, staff are very friendly and food is good as is the coffee. Recommend this place all the time.

The quality of the coffee really amazed us! We like our coffee and didn’t think that it is possible we go to a place and feel - wow 🤩 that’s the best coffee I’ve ever had in my life - and that exactly how we felt! Our experience is that small independent cafes usually have better quality coffee and nicer atmosphere than large chains that we all know too well. Unfortunately, what we don’t like about the small independent cafes is inconsistency and that often what I ask for and describe is far off from what I get. Then I end up sending coffee away sometimes even several times and many time I never actually managed to get soya latte that is not creamed up (wet) without any froth. As a result, we tend to go to those big famous chains, to get what we want every single time without hassle. This place, however, has it all!!! My coffee was exactly how I asked for and the taste was amazing 🤩 it also has a feel of local cafe to it, thank you ☺️ we will be back!

Lovely coffee, great cakes and really tasty sandwiches. The staff are very friendly and helpful and everything is super clean 😊

Superb coffee and nice staff. The coffee shop is run by people who understand how to make a great brew, and not by people who just know how to make a cup of coffee.

Stopped for coffee and cake after a busy shopping morning. Shop was busy but Beth made us feel welcome and took time to speak to . Lovely coffee ( I’m a coffee snob ) it will be our go to for coffee break when shopping.

I have been popping in for my coffee and breakfast for last few weeks , excellent food , good value and superb service always friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit

Came in for a bite to eat during a day out in Canterbury. It must have only been early afternoon and most of the stock had already sold out! I had a tuna melt toastie which was nice enough but it was very overpriced and the unit was filthy - toilets were a mess and had no soap and the tables and floors were covered in all sorts.

I've been living in Canterbury for about 8 years now. This is a place with a lot of different Cafes to visit. I visited every single Cafe in town and had a mediocre experience (from the service to the quality of food/Coffee) But just 2 weeks ago I notice a new Cafe opening:The Real Eating Company. It was not just another brand, it was an independent Cafe which intrigued my interest. On the day of the opening I paid the Cafe a visit. I ordered my usual, complicated coffee drink, "a Triple shot, Salted Caramel, 70 degrees Latte" which is a nightmare for any barista. Not only was I greeted with a very warm welcome, but I have received an excellent coffee with an amazing taste on a very fast notice. I was left astonished about how great the service and the coffee was and the quality of food, or even how environment friendly the Cafe is. I was served by a young boy called Calleb and he helped offer this great experience. I am a very loyal customer to the Real Eating Company. Love the atmosphere and keep up the good work.

Nice, chill atmosphere. The prices are really good for the quality and quantity srevered! Would highly recommend.

Went there a few days ago when I heard a new place opened.So happy to see some of the old Eat staff is still there , coffee still amazing and a wide range of freshly made food . Love the new decor ! Would definitely be back there soon .

I remember it was a rainy day when i broke up with my gf and thats when i stumbled upon the Real Eating company. They took me in and made me feel part of their amazing family. Especially Karapis. What an amazing human he is. I pride myself i n my coffee tasting abilities and i can honestly say that it was the best tasting, gluten free, organic, freshly brewed coffee i have ever tasted. it was more of an experience than anything else. The taste of the coffee intertwined with the smell of them freshly made, foinger licking sandwiches was orgasmic indeed. I will be travelling back to the UK to visit the Real Eating Company and maybe also the London eye.

New favorite spot in town ! It's always nice to come into place with amazing vibes, good coffee, good organic food with a wide variety of choice and a super friendly and joyful team! Highly recommend it if you wanna have a nice break and enjoy a peaceful environment ;)

My new favorite spot in Canterbury to have my morning coffee. Love the morning goods, the croissants are so fresh and crispy. Very good price and amazing coffee!

I heard about a new cafe opening and I’m very much a coffee snob and I was not disappointed! Not only was the coffee amazing but all the staff were so so friendly and inviting I’ll definitely be back!

I'm impressed with the new shop in Canterbury. Very friendly staff and great coffee!! We had a slice of the Victoria Cake, so soft and fresh! Really recommend it!

Just opened, looks exactly like Eat with no decor changed, except half the door was boarded up. There is food on the counter uncovered and close enough for customers and staff to breathe over it. We were served by a not particularly friendly woman who...
