Laz Cafe at Claygate in Elmbridge

You know this is a great cafe when you go with friends two days in a row and you still want to go again! The menu is fabulous; wholesome, interesting and beautifully presented. The coffees are the best around, especially the cortado. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. Perfect spot for brunch, lunch or just a coffee & cake; highly recommend!

We absolutely love this place...warm, inviting, pretty décor with beautiful artwork, fabulous attentive staff and last but certainly not least the delicious food..what's not to love....

I’ve been coming to Laz Cafe since it opened and would recommend it to everyone who hasn’t been. My mum loves the place and anyone I bring has nothing but great things to say about the food and the staff who are Happy, friendly and helpful. Whether it’s a bite to eat with friends, family or alone (which I do often) you won’t be disappointed. Go and give Laz Cafe in Claygate a go.

This is definitely my favourite cafe in Claygate! It has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. Again, it's situated by the station which is so convenient. There is always a parking space nearby. Their food is amazingly tasty, with many options offered at a reasonable price. It's also clean and the staff are super nice. I love it!

I visit regularly. Kids love the smoothies. Great food - I recommend the breakfast, or lamb. Friendly staff, very welcoming. 👍👍👍

. . . but boy, was I wrong !!! Laz isn’t just another coffee shop, it’s so much more. Let’s start with the people running the place and serving here; the staff are always happy & welcome you with a cheery smile. Service is very polite and unobtrusive. Next the decor and ambiance; with modern tables & super comfortable chairs it’s a great place to relax. Add to this the unique artwork (for sale) on the walls and you can see why Laz is so popular. Produce is always nicely displayed and everything I’ve eaten here has been perfectly cooked and presented. My only issue is that eating too much of it isn’t good for my waistline 😊. Prices are in line with the area. And the coffee? The best for miles !!!

Been here a few times as I live locally and it's always been great. Great selection of toasties, cakes are tasty (the carrot cake is the best ever!) and service is fab. Only thing that seems to vary occasionally is the amount of bread given with the omelettes (which are delicious)..

Went with a friend who knew this cafe. Could not fault the food, a very good toasted sandwich with mozzarella, spinach, avocado...very tasty. Service was very friendly and efficient. Comfortable seats, tables are quite close together, but that doesn't seem to matter here. Prices are reasonable and expected for the area. Would return.

My favourites include fig, caramelised onion, and goats cheese on toasted sourdough served with a nice fresh salad and slightly spicy homemade coleslaw salad - absolutely delicious! Other go to dishes include falafel, halloumi, spinach, sweet chilli, and hummus wrap and an apple, roasted beef, mozzarella, cheddar cheese and horse radish sauce sandwich Attention to detail and great balance in every dish.
