Really enjoyed my time the good and service was brilliant especially the brownies which were amazing considering they were even gluten free! Can’t wait to get back there and try more of the food on the menu

We moved in to the area 3 months ago. In that time we have been to this lovely place four times. Most recently, 12 of us went last weekend to celebrate a 60th birthday. And every single person enjoyed it! Last week, two friends came to visit us from Formby and called in to Pebbles en route. “Oh, we stopped off in a lovely place before coming here. Pebbles? Do you know it?” Oh yes, we know it! And it is our favourite place in Ainsdale. Small, cosy and welcoming, the menu is predominantly Greek (my favourite food) but there is also a good selection of English dishes. I have tried the Afelia (Cypriot dish), chicken gyros, the mezze. All were excellent, but my favourite dish was the beef stifado, hands down. The chef clearly knows how to make authentic Greek food with big flavours. I hope that Pebbles can get that dish on to its regular menu. The prices are very good too. I will be back very soon!

I am a Southport resident and found it incredible that this pub closed at 6pm because of a parade that afternoon. I felt that we were to blame for this for some reason, the truth being that they took decent money during the afternoon so we're closing now. Total contempt for people who actually live in Southport! Obviously not business minded people, especially considering the pub has run down in recent years and doesn't take much money anymore, or so it appears to me because I pass it all the time (being a local resident) and it's never full anymore.

Excellent food at more than reasonable prices, all of our meals cost under £5 each, we will definitely be returning.

A small, compact cafe with a friendly, inclusive atmosphere. Definitely a cut above the average park cafe - nice coffee and a good selection of cakes and traybakes. The breakfasts looked good as well.

45 min wait for order. In end got refund, they couldn't even get that right. No apology for wait. When we asked where order was after half an hour waiter left to check and never responded,

The barmaid was very hostile and encouraged other bar staff and the owner not to serve me in spite of me having had one round there in the previous hour. I was prepared to pay for a £40 round for me and my father but the barmaids conduct encourages me to never return again.

We have been to the purple rain lounge twice now Once for the open mic night for drinks and today for Sunday lunch. It’s a great venue a hidden gem down Queen Anne street in Southport, the decor is fab really quirky set over two floors, with a great stage for live music, the Sunday lunch was a bargain at £10 and really delicious we will be back for the tapas which sounds lovely.

The only draft lagers were fosters or Carling. Yeuk seriously who drinks that. They had John smith and strongbow that’s it. Could you not get any cheaper draft beers than that. Not great

I briefly popped into Waterfields today and I was very pleasantly surprised at the selection. The cakes and snacks were extensively stocked behind the counter and were very reasonably priced at under £2 each. I bought a cupcake with vanilla cream on top which was delicious! The staff serving were friendly, polite and efficient. You can also sit in to eat, if you wish. The only issue was that the loaves of bread/toasties were running out, then again it was 3pm so this was understandable. Overall, I would highly recommend a visit!

I popped into Cafe Nero to while away some time over a coffee whilst reading. The welcome was very courteous and the service was excellent. So much so that the barista had the foresight to call after me in leaving to pass my book mark back to me which I had inadvertently left. This act of generosity was greatly appreciated and showed a care for customers which is not always apparent. A very grateful customer.
