Don't know what it is about Indian takeaways around Formby but the food is always spicy but tasteless. I used to live near St Helens and the Indian food there was always really nice. I've eaten from all the Indian's around here and ,always disappoint
I really loved the place, the service, the atmosphere, and especially the food. The owner of the restaurant explained some of the dishes and the pictures on the wall of the restaurant to us. It was a really good experience, and I want to go back more often. For those who like food with flavor and good seasoning, this is my recommendation!
Ps: the price is really good!
Walked in there yesterday evening and it was heaven on earth. The staff greater me warmly and sat me down at candle-lit table. Me and my significant other were astonished by the gleaming cutlery that the exceptional kitchen porter had presented before us. The plates shone with a moonlight glow and the fork shimmered like an undisturbed lake. The kitchen portered undoubtedly put his blood, sweat and tears into this as he does with all the other patrons at this establishment. He takes care with his work and treats it as a craft, a craft of which he is a master. After we partook in our meals and manners, we requested to speak to the artist of a porter who had delighted us with our plates and cutlery. When we spoke to him, he addressed us as part of the restaurant, called us Sir and Ma'am. He informed us he was called Alfred Breen but insisted we called Alfie, he treated us as equals and spoke to us with the up-most respect. He carried himself as someone who is approachable and willing to help someone out, he did not appear arrogant or narcissistic instead felt accommodating, empathetic and caring towards us and all other people within the restaurant. I'm wishing my regards reach the delightful person in question as I would like his kindness and warmness towards me and others be known by everyone as it shows there is still light in this dark world, even if it is only shown from one light.
Lam's is simply the best fish and chip and takeaway I have been to. Spotlessly clean. Staff were helpful and friendly. The fish and chips were delicious. Curry sauce delicious. Meals are just perfect. Highly recommended.
Popped in here for lunch on a Friday afternoon expecting an average Italian meal. Wow the food was amazing. Great Caprese salad. The spaghetti alla vongole was superb too. The tiramisu was also exceptional. We just got back from a 4 day trip to Rome and honestly this food was better than anything we had there. Great family run business and great service too. Definitely coming back when we visit Southport again. Better than 5 stars.
Amazing French restaurant. Definitely worth visiting. The food was incredible. I had snails and frogs legs followed by pigeon. The wine, the food, the service and atmosphere was incredible and I’ll definitely be back!
Easy for parking, booked table and staff were very attentive. Brunch was lovely- everyone enjoyed their food and drinks - would definitely book again thank you
Perfect Chinese Lunch
Walked on the main street in Southport and spotted this little hidden gem.
Attracted by its lunch menu.
Sweet n Sour Chicken is excellent as my gweilo boyfriend is an expert of S&S chicken. The coating is light and crispy, sauce perfectly hangs onto the chicken. Sourness and sweetness are at perfect balance.
Beef curry the sauce is nice for chips dipping.
Great value and friendly service, Will definitely be back with more friends!
We had a table booked for 20:30, were in on time and ordered drinks and food to share. Food arrived piping hot. After we finished our meal, we were asked if we had finished with our drinks, we clearly hadn't as they were still 3/4 full, so asked why he had asked us. The waiter stated that the kitchen staff wanted to wash up. After maybe 5 minutes, the lights started flickering on and off, done by the staff. We were made to feel like we had overstayed our welcome, even though the restaurant was not busy. We again asked the staff why this was being done, but just got brought the bill instead. The restaurant wasn't due to close until 10pm, but we left just after 9 as we obviously were not welcome.
I would not recommend this restaurant based on this experience, there are plenty of other restaurants on this street which we would go to next time.
picked cash payment delivery was half hour late so phoned to ask where it was up to and they dont take cash so never made the food and didn't contact us absolute joke
